Hi,

I’ve found out what the problem is with the plugin, but the only way it can be fixed is by resetting my database tables.

When the plugin is activated, the product images wont upload from the media library, the media library keeps timing out with the following error:

Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected

I have since found out that this is because when the plugin queries the database, MySQL is not closing off.

Resetting my Tables results in my losing my settings for everything: theme options, posts, pages etc Do you know what the plugin reads as in Database Tables, so I can reset the individual plugin and get WP E-commerce working again?

Is it possible for this bug to be fixed some time? Or is the plugin no longer being developed? I really loved the look of the product page with it working.

Hi,

this morning I have updated to WordPress core 4.8.2, WP e-Commerce Grid View PRO 2.0.0 and WP eCommerce 3.12.4. Since the upgrades, the images no longer show in the grid. The product information and pricing is there but no images displayed.

I notice that the free plugin version of WP e-Commerce Grid View that I was using has been automatically updated to the PRO version. What do I need to do to get the images to show in this new version?

Hello,

I have a problem in the grid view setting, after selecting for grid display the display changes but is only in a column also is below the list of categories, when in fact I would like to stay next door.

I have just applied your plugin on my site to simply see how the site would look in grid view, but have decided it would not suit my store. However upon deactivating the grid view plugin, the stores product page no longer shows the store products.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be gratefully received.

Hi,

I am having the same Alignment issue in grid view as per the message 2 years ago. And I would like to change the colours of the gridview text.

Unfortunately the Setting up in Grid View instruction on your website contains at broken link when trying to link to the following crucial information “Chapter 3: Presentation Settings > Scroll down the page until you get to Grid View.”

Could you please support further info? I know your plugin simply unlocks the functionality, however it would be nice if you could help out the luddites ??

When activated prevented my site from loading at all. Once deactivated, site loaded but all functions using the plug didn’t work. Sent email to developer which so far has been ignored.

Recently i purchased therese three items:

wp amazon affiliate, wp ecommerce gallery pro, wp ecommerce grid view.
Ive installed completely from scratch 3 times and have now come to the end of my tether.

Grid view is set to On but guess what, no grid view. Just loads of product pages as one on top of each other.

Ive tried just about every possible angle and settings but as soon as I go into categories and apply United Kingdom as Target Market the grid view dissapears and wont come back whatever setting changes i make???

This is actually the main problem im haveing but its brought about by a massive dissintegration and general ilogical structure between the plugins.

I even had to purchase the gallery plugin under a false name and different email to my grid view purchase because it was impossible to navigate my way into the same user login.

I still havent been able to post a forum support at the main site because there isnt a NEW POST BUTTON to be found, no contact email or other way of contacting anyone for support so am not very hopefull of receiving anything here???

Anything else i say would just be venting around the same array of dissintegrated parts….

I have just installed Grid View on https://www.seconds-shop.co.uk and it mostly works fine.

Unfortunately if you look at the individual product description, under the description the following text is displayed:

Hi,

I wonder if you can help? It seems that I can’t get the ‘grid view’ setting in the product categories section to ‘stick’, it just returns to default. This, of course, overrides the settings in the Store presentation section. Any thoughts on how I can fix it? If it is OK in the pro version then pleas let me know as I’m probably going to buy it anyway…

Good Morning!

I just upgraded my site to WordPress 3.8.1 and WP e-Commerce Grid View LITE 1.0.4.1.

With an earlier version, I had several product pages with a Grid View set to 3 across. Once I upgraded, the products are now showing at 1 column across, no matter what I have set for “Products Per Row”.

After Install Shopping Basket Loses items in Checkout

G’day,
Had interesting situation. Installed WP e-Commerce Grid View on test WP e-Commerce site because it looks quite good. All went well, until I noticed that on the main machine I was testing the finished pages on was not showing items which were added after clicking on ‘Checkout’.
Again – Add a product either from the grid, the product page or the latest products widget – all added ok to the shopping cart. it was only when going to ‘Checkout’ that they would disappear.
This was in Google Chrome ver 32.0.1700.76 m (latest at time). Some testing with other browsers (Internet Explorer 11 & FireFox 26.0 didnt show the problem.
First off I thought it might have been Win 8.1, as had first off tried with the dev computer which had Win 7 and all worked. I happened to have a few others around so started comparing. Closes was a Win 8.1 with previous version Chrome 31.0.1650.63m – it worked ok. While I was testing Chrome snuck in an update to 32.0.1700.76 m (which was a bit annoying – hard to do good testing when that kind of thing happens).
Eventually thought it was worth trying to clear the Cache on Chrome (also did a reboot – if you can call it that in Win 8.1).
This did the magic trick and all working – it shows the products in the shopping card at checkout.
(P.S. I rarely post – not too many exiting things happen like this, I hope it might helps someone else ease their day!)
Great plugin guys! Really makes the shopping basket seem much nicer.

We are considering Grid View pro for our site. We already have a grid view in the Gold Cart in wp-ecommerce. We are selling antique maps, and while most of our images fit well in our landscape-shaped default thumbnail size, there are some maps that are set up as portrait-shaped. Would this plugin allow a product to be shown in its entirety even if it is shaped differently than the default?

Just wondering, we are trying to get a layout to suit our site, but everything appears to either left aligned or not set to use 100% of the page width.
Have tried the obvious, editing CSS setting in various places but unable to locate a fix for this, however we have found a code snippet that we cant locate anywhere.
“If we set grid number to 3, the setting states width=”26%” or if set to 4, the setting changes width=”18%”
Obviously these are the incorrect percentages as they should be nearer grid of 3=”33%” and grid of 4=”25%”. But we cant figure out where this snippet is being hooked from in order to reset it or if we are simply looking to deep into the code.

The snippet we have found looks like this:
.product_grid_display .product_grid_item {
width: 26%;

.product_grid_display .product_grid_item {
width: 18%;

Any input would be very gratefully received as we are having a lot of “white space because of this setting. ??

I bought Grid View Pro but experience some CSS-Issues with Firefox.

Could you have a look at https://www.didactmedia.eu/wordpress/?page_id=18 ? The boxes for the variants (Produktoptionen) does not align with it’s parent. How do I fix this?

It works fine in Chrome.

Grid View Lite Layout Issues

Hi there

I am having a few issues with the Grid View Lite plug-in’s layout on my client’s page. Here is a link to the products page of the site for a better understanding of the issue:

As you can see if you follow the link, the boxes for the products don’t align. I have set the grid view to have 2 product columns per row. Technically the tops of the product boxes should align with the new row, in order to remain clean even when some product boxes are larger than others. Right now it looks misaligned and messy and I have not even set any product thumbnails yet, so I know it can’t be that which is causing the issue.

Is there a way to fix this? Any feedback would be most helpful and appreciated.

Love this plug in but came across one issue on a friend’s site:
Product has 3 images
When one of them is set as the thumbnail, the grid view for the category starts using the default product view.
