I’m working on a site for a beverage delivery client and they preferred to use Easycart. They manage their products & inventory through a Square POS system and were able to import their products, which are organized in the POS into several nested categories. However, that hierarchy is not importing.
For example, he has a parent category “Sports Drinks” with a child category “Gatorade.” Both categories imported, but they did not import as parent & child.
Is this type of importation not supported? Is it a premium feature?

]]>Hello all
My website developer built an webiste for me but I’m stuck some trouble to create shipping options.
My problem is I need to create 3 different shipping options.
One is tracked service via Royal Mail and other one is non tracked service via Royal Mail. Last option is still delivering in the UK but this is shipping company who delivers parcels to specific country. As this is in the UK, I can’t create two shipping options for same country. One has to be free delivery over £100 and the other is free shipping over £250 as the final destination is outside UK. Can you help on this?
]]>Free Easycart is installed, appears to be working, I can make a test purchase, but we only have been using a standard business paypal account for Easycart. Is this insufficient? We have an IPN error coming up; paypal is failing because its still looking for the previous plugin Cart66 /store/ipn page. Easycart doesn’t use this page, I assume. I deleted the cart66 plugin but didn’t delete the ipn page, just in case it totally messed up paypal without it.
Also Do I need to add PayPal Express in order for Easycart to bypass the IPN error warning? Or will it work with standard version, and I just enter the correct ipn?(in Paypal)
I asked Paypal Merchant Technical helpdesk and they could not help me. They asked me to contact you, for the right connection info between Easycart and Paypal. We want to have payment notifications from Paypal, we dont want to lose it.
I notice easycart docs/administrative-console-guide/paypal-payment-settings/ says I can have a PayPal IPN Listener but I am not clear on what to put in the field for IPN.
You say:
Just replace ‘yourwebsiteURL’ with your actual website URL and enable.
or you also say
ourwebsiteURL .com / ?wpeasycarthook=paypal-webhook
but which is it? just my website url , or do I put: /?wpeasycarthook=paypal-webhook as well?
Hi there – my client just notified me that the Add to Cart button is not working in Google Chrome for the Mac. I tested it with Firefox, and it DOES work there. What do we need to do to make it work in Chrome, as well?

]]>My understanding is that WP Easycart (free plugin version) takes a 2% fee of all transactions processed via online payment gateway like Stripe, Square, or Paypal. Is this correct? And if so, how does that work? Does it mean the WP Easycart is a “middleman” so that all payment transactions go through WP Easycart before getting to the payment gateway? Or does the API make it so that 2% of each payment transaction is payed to WP Easycart?
Please explain. Is there any documentation online regarding this?
With the paid/premium version of WP Easycart is there any such fee?
Thanks

I need to know how to remove the site identity title (Raleigh Wedding Photographers) from being seen in the email previews of my customers receipts. My shop page has nothing to do with my photography site.

]]>Hey guys,
Hope you can help, my sites cart and checkout is just not loading, it may load after some refreshes but is being painfully slow etc.
Causing me to lose out on orders.
Is there any advice on why it seems to be so slow?

]]>I’m considering using Easy Cart, but I need to be able to allow unlimited downloads on electronic purchases. I digitize and sell embroidery designs for embroidery machines. They need to be available in many formats and once purchased, the customer needs to be able to return and redownload should they have a loss of data on their computer, or to download a new format if they get a new machine. Can Easy Cart be set up to do this in the free tier. If not, which tier would I need to purchase.

I have been trying to move, drag etc without success.

]]>I have been running the free version for a few months now and it seems to be working well – my wife and I are seriously considering the paid version for another site that needs e-commerce. All of a sudden this morning (no updates to the site today), users are coming to the site and seeing the “Critical Error” message. The site won’t load, I can’t get in from the back end either.
After disabling all the plugins the site loads again. I checked and the server has sufficient resources allocated for the site to function properly. BUT when I started re-activating plugins one by one, I received an error upon trying to reactivate wp-easycart:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal-error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/wp-content’ in /home/rocksolid/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-easycart/inc/classes/core/ec_shipping.php on line 1330”
I’m posting this here to find out what to do – don’t feel that I should pay the plugin author $70 to tell them their software is breaking my site.
So where do I go from here?
Thanks for whatever help you can provide!

Hi all,
I am using WP EasyCart instead of WooCommerce for several reasons
In the testing, I only have “direct debit” ordering setup (not PayPal or bank)..
The cart function seems to be working Ok
BUT, the orders flow in, but how do I get notified by e-mail that a new order has hit the system from an e-commerce shopper?
]]>The view is amazing and it need some time to understand it all but I keep struggling and cant do what I really want to do, I had the free version and created a small store, I was overwhelmed by the posting options so decided to add those in the options, just let people add the posting there and set free posting when checking out, funny enough soon I activate Options in the product I had no option to Buy anymore, and no the setting was not done to catalog, then the day later I had it all working stripe paypal and shipping separated but I very dislike the idea that shipping be added later when they check out imigine I have products that be shipped for high prices so people might leave it soon they see the shipping cost on the end, and with leaving it the product sticks in the cart I only have one of each so it stops others to buy it, I would like to see an option with BUY NOW no card issues than for me , when i decided to do the free trial of the pro version my stripe didn’t work anymore and i cant get it working anymore, its sad because i really like the plugin with not added all kind of other plugins spreaded trough WP but i think its not for what i need i just cant get it working the way how i want , i have left it behind now with optional activated, and posting activate, its not set in catalog mode so that should be fine , soon i disable options the button of add to cart is there again but no shipping rates shown while its not selected in the settings to hide, set now with a standard shipping option, no choice and only Paypal

]]>Hello,
With the free version of this plugin it says there is a 2% application fee. I’m not clear exactly what this means. Please clarify or include a link that explains the fee.
Does this mean that WP Easycart acts as a payment intermediary and takes a 2% fee before passing the funds to us? Is this the case for Paypal, Stripe and Square payment methods with the free plugin version?
Please help explain this.
Thanks

I found this value stored in the en-us file and changed it but it doesn’t show up on the shop page:

“title”:”Out of Stock Text”,
“value”:”SOLD!”
},
Where else is this value stored and how to change it?

]]>Woocommerce has a handy feature that allows admin to assign a Store Manager user role to other registered users on the wordpress site. This user role limits the user to only those functions/features necessary to create/modify/delete products or view order details (customer support) and fulfill or ship orders. They don’t have access to all the Woocommerce settings that only the site admin should have for setting up functionality, etc.
This plugin really needs user role settings for the admin to assign users with desired limited access to the settings.
Do you agree?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
