We had a user reach out to us to let us know about raw text being dumped into every page of their site. We were able to isolate the issue to this plugin, which appears to have an issue with 1.9.1 where the contents of the readme was uploaded as the plugin’s main file: https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/wp-ecommerce-paypal/tags/1.9.1/wp-ecommerce-paypal.php

Since the plugin was already activated on their site, it is causing the contents to be dumped into all pages on the site.

Could you kindly let us know once this has been updated so that we can inform the user and get this updated for them so they can make use of the latest security update? Thanks so much!

I use the PayPal & Stripe Plugin on a WordPress site and my PayPal Buttons on my website is running. But some times I see only “An error occurred while connecting PayPal SDK. Check the plugin settings.” Then I must only go to the PayPal & Stripe Settings and don’t make any changes, then the PayPal Buttons runs again. Until some days later, I have the same problem.

Have anyone a idea?

The site is under construction, it’s a guesthouse site with booking system.

I need to intercept the successful/failed payment in order to save all the information about the reservation, send email, and so on. It will be the same if I could pass a callback function to the plugin (to program what will happen in case of success and/or error).

I need to call a custom php function when any payment is successful (paypal, venmo, stripe).

When my custom PHP function is called i need it to pass in the wordpress userID, and the amount of the payment, so i can add it to their account in my custom database.

Can the free version do it or i need to buy the PRO?

I installed the module and made the connection with paypal.

when I click to pay with papayl a window opens, normal… and closes again without anything happening

when I pay with the credit card button, the following message appears

The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation.

The account is a pro account, everything is ok I admit I don’t understand

“The product EXPRESS_CHECKOUT not found”

Hi, since the latest update all payments on the website have produced error messages.

On attempting to reconnect with PayPal, a Business account is required. I’d prefer to not set this up and to continue using a personal PayPal account – is this possible?

According to the plugin’s FAQ it’s possible to have a Standard PayPal account and to use this plugin. Is this correct?

Does the Pro version of this plugin allow it if not the standard version?

When setting up the plugin to use on my website I got Stripe set up then went to set up the PayPal part of it and when it gives me the pop-up to login my PayPal account it keeps telling me – Some of your info isn’t correct. Please try again. However I’m putting in the same email address and password I use everyday to login to PayPal. I was actually logged in to PayPal as I was doing it.

Does this version of Easy PayPal require updating my PayPal account to PayPal Commerce, or am I able to continue to use PayPal Standard? I’ve got a tiny site that does some commerce and the last thing I want to do (based on previous experience) is complicate my use of PayPal. I’m seeing search results like…

To use PayPal Commerce, you will need to set up a separate PayPal business account and integrate it with your website.

Strikes me there should be a warning about updating if it’s going to require disrupting your current sales flow.

I have been using your plugin for quite some time. But today, after the last update, when I try to connect it with my PayPal account, I get this message:

There were errors connecting your PayPal account. Resolve them in your account settings, by contacting support or by reconnecting your PayPal account.

OK. So I’ve installed the Paypal plugin. Although it appears in the plugin list, there is no evidence of it anywhere else.

The menus don’t appear on WP dashboard 6.1.1 after installing the plugin. Is there any incompatibilty with others?

Of course, I know that the button only appears with the Classic Editor but why don’t the dashboard menus appear? Just the one shown on the picture but on the wrong position.

Just installed and there is no way to enter any amount and there seems no way to find the code to load on a page.

Is it out of date?

Trying to add an image to the customer response email. The “Add Media” button allows you to to this – but the details are lost as soon as the settings are saved.

It was just announced by iThemes that this plugin has a vulnerability and I noticed it has not been updated in 8 months and has not been tested?with the current version of WordPress. Is this plugin still being actively worked on? Should we find an alternative.

The “Buy Now” buttons just seem to be linking to a the top level paypal home page. If I remember correctly they used to lead to a page listing the amount, our paypal user email and options to pay via credit card or paypal.

Even if I am logged into my personal paypal account I get a “We can’t find a page with the url you entered.” message.

Why this change? Can it be fixed?

I am using WordPress 6.1.1

The shortcode does not require the button but remains visible, a conflict possible? I use classic editor. Could it be annoying on the site also elementor?

In the EU you need to get the user’s content before loading things from a server in the US. Unfortunately it’s getting quite common that lawyers are sueing website owners if they don’t comply.

Question 1 (easy):
Could you please remove the loaded “pixel.gif” inside the forms? It’s only for PayPal to monitor traffic and does not provide any additional feature.

Question 2 (moderate):
Could you provide the button images locally? It will be a few because of different languages, but I think that’s doable.

First of all, thank you for this ‘easy’ PayPal Button Plug-in – appreciated.

It really helps people and tiny businesses, then the larger ones can also happily get the administration PRO version.

Now, regarding the PRO version.

As we know – unless it has changed – one does not need PCI accreditation because PayPal buttons are directly handled by PayPal and there is non involvement with the website were it comes from. Not having a basket and checkout hosted on originating site.

But… if one goes for the PRO version (I do not need it at present, but possibly in the future) it adds PayPal administration etc. and at this point I guess one might be forced to get PCI accreditation, right?
Because we handle people’s data – even thought we do not handle card data.

… or maybe it is only a ICO.org thing (in UK) and not PCI?
Since admin I guess does not deal with Card details?

I am using the Easy PayPal Buy Now Button plugin. During the payment it takes almost 14-20 seconds time to redirect to the paypal official page https://prnt.sc/mk4DPdT3Vte2 which is annoying for customers during the payment. So please reduce the loading time so that we can reach to the paypal official page as soon as possible.
I hope you will consider to my points and will try to solve this issue as soon as possible.

We have an existing site using the plug in, through GoDaddy/Managed WP/Elementor. When trying to update the amounts of the PayPal existing buttons, the pop-up page to modify the amount tied to the buttons comes up blank. Everything works well, no issues, no pop up blockers, nothing new. Trying to see if any help is available
