Hello.
Would it be possible that the plugin’s functions could somehow also cover images inserted in gallery format when it is created in the post editor?
If you can’t create the function, could you give me a filter for this purpose?
Thanks.
]]>Hi, SmartNews validator doesn’t detect the thumbnail because it’s too small. Anyway to select the site?
The image size is too small:?Setting images of?1,500 px?or more is recommended.

]]>I have a site that also has YoastSEO’s Video add-on which then also adds the xmlns:media entry for search.yahoo.com/mrss. However, these then doubled-up and resulted in invalid code that FeedPress & other feed readers couldn’t parse as a result.
Thankfully YoastSEO’s Video extension has a “Disable Media RSS Enhancement” setting which prevents their output of this in the RSS feed.
However, I’m thinking it might be helpful if this is surfaced via this plugin as well just in case there are any other conflicting plugins out there where this can be the plugin offering the setting that’s needed. Also, it might help people resolve the issue quicker since one might think to check this plugin before YoastSEO Video or whatever other plugins they may have.
Also posted this at https://github.com/wearerequired/wp-feed-post-thumbnail/issues/20 as well for better visibility/discussion amongst the appropriate people.
Thanks,
Kurt
I have tried to find a hook to easily modify the URL of the image, but – I believe – I would have to write the whole add_feed_item_media
function. Or, but this I am not certain of, just write a proper hook for add_feed_item_media
.
Can you, please, advise on the correct approach here? I am Golang/Java developer, PHP is a bit awkward for me after so many years of not using it…
Rationale – I have a server with a heavy hotlinking config going on, so I need to modify the URL of images to bypass that “shield” for feed users.
The simplest way I can see is to add one additional hook and two lines of code to this plugin. Happy to share a patch if you would like to use that – I am certain a lot of people can benefit from that, especially using hotlinking prevention (i.e. CloudFlare users…)
