Hi support,
Can anyone confirm if this plugin is still being maintained, and also its compatibility with PHP7+, I get the following error on a staging site I’m testing the upgrade on:
Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; WpFlickrEmbed has a deprecated constructor in /home/stagefm/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-flickr-embed/wp-flickr-embed.php on line 34
Thank you

Hi,
I cannot make the lightbox future work, do I need something special to make it happen???
Hi,
I’ve been using this plugin on a clients site for quite a while now and it has worked perfectly, just having the plugin installed meant that my client could simply cut and paste the Flickr image url into the WordPress post and it would work as well as being able to use the actual plugin. However since updating to WordPress 4.5.3, the plugin has stopped working when the Flickr icon is clicked to open the interface I’m faced with the following Ajax Error message ‘AJAX error: parsererror (SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 2 column 1of the JSON data)’.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this error, also now when the client tries to embed the Flickr image using just the URL, the image pulls through, but it is pulled through at a very small size and I have all the imnmages on these posts set to expand full width which now makes these Flickr images grainy and unusable.
Thank you

Hi,
When I click on the “Authorize with Flickr” button, and later on the flickr page I try to give permission, there is an error: I have a blank page with an access denied message.
On other attemps there is a message on the flickr page saying that “oauth_token” is not recognized.
I have checked the host settings, and curl is enable.
Does anybody have the same problem? Is there a solution for this
Thanks in advance,
Victor
I have Wp Flickr Embed installed on this site: https://cathyflorence.com
It was working wonderfully, then for some reason recently whenever I try to use it, it gets stuck on the ‘loading’ like in this picture here:
https://blog.sevenfarmgirlsisters.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/loading.jpg
I also have it installed on this site: https://sevenfarmgirlsisters.com and it works just fine.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? ?? Thanks!
Hey guys,
Could you help me with this please?
After the plugin installation all was fine – I managed to insert a one image.
But then after couple days – that button just disappeared:

So what could be the reason of such behavior?
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
Would it be possible to add an option to generate srcset tags for other flickr image sizes when inserting an image either automatically for all the sizes or via a tick box next to each size that the user wants to have a srcset tag for.
I am currently using the RICG Responsive Image plugin but as this plugin doesn’t use the media library it doesn’t trigger that plugin and I generally host the majority of the sites pictures on Flickr.
Thanks
The previous topic was closed, unresolved. Users who still encounter the blank screen when attempting to Authorize might try:
sudo apt-get install php5-curl
sudo service apache2 restart
Resolved the issue for me.
Hello,
I have been using the WP Flickr Embed tool to add images to my personal blog site. However, as of recently, the images don’t load at all when my post has been published. If I refresh the screen many times they will start to appear. Even then, I have to refresh the screen for every new image as I scroll through the post.
EX: https://www.designlively.com/2014/11/how-to-plan-a-weekend-in-nantucket/
Example: Just now I went to the post and hit the refresh button 3 times before the first image appeared. And to get the remaining 16 images to load I needed to hit the refresh button about 10 times, with images appearing one or two at a time.
Any idea what is the problem? I’ve tried on more than one computer/browser and same problem.
Thanks in advance.
Here’s what I had to tell my colleagues to get the Lightbox feature to work:
Lightbox only works when photos have a caption!
When selecting a photo with the ‘WordPress Flickr Embed’ plugin you should set the size of the embedded photo and also the (larger) size of the image for Lightbox. You will see a box for ‘Photo Title’, but beware – that isn’t a caption.
To give it a caption, click on the image in the Visual Editor, then the pencil icon at the top-right of the image. In the dialog that comes up you will see a box for a Caption. Type anything – I think it has to be visible text, but a ‘-‘ will do if you can’t think of a caption. Delete the contents of the two boxes ‘Alternatie Text’ and ‘Image Title Attribute’ and press Update.
First of all, thanks for the wonderful plugin; it works perfectly for me.
I have one query: I use the Yet Another Related Posts Plugin and if I wanto to display related post thumbnails, it only accepst images which are set as the featured image of posts. Is the a way to set the image embedded with WordPress Flickr Embed as the featured image?
Thanks a lot
On local site, plugins woks fine;
on remote, on-line, I get this error:

I don’t know how to solve the problem ??

Hi to all WP Flickr Embed users, thanks for all your support.
The plugin source code development takes place primarily on Github. I would prefer it if you could file an issue there as it is makes it easier to track.
At the moment am very busy with other projects so I cannot dedicate much time to this. But I will try! If there are other developers who wish to help out with the maintenance of the plugin they are more than welcome to.
thanks,
hiddentao
Well, the developer seems to be AWOL, both here and on the Github page where the plugin source code lives.

Guess it’s time to move on…

Could anyone look into it?

Hi,
Brilliant app idea!
Would it be possible to add the feature where we can embed multiple images in one go (instead of ‘Continue to insert another photo after this.’
I use visual composer to build my portfolio pages, when i activate the visual composer your button is no longer available so i cant use your app ?? it only works in the default wordpress visual editor, could you add that functionality?
Thanks for your time to build the app!

Hi could you help me modify this plugin so the images do not link to flickr?
Thanks!
Hello is it possible to make it upload to my flickr account ?
And an easier one, can you make it remember the last setting used like “image centered” and “original size” always get reseted to default option..if it had memory i wouldn’t need to change it every time..it would be awesome. Or maybe if we could choose the default option?
Thanks in advance!

I really like the plugin. But: it would simplify my workflow a lot if it were possible to set defaults for various settings. In particular:
– page position (I tend to use ‘right’)
– default photo caption text
– default to “open in new window”
If I could preset these it would considerably reduce the amount of typing/mouse-clicking I have to do for each photo.
It would also be nice to be able to change some settings, such as the link, from the photo insertion dialog rather than having to click to edit the photo.
As long as I’m wishing: what would be really helpful would be the ability to search for a photo set, and have the plugin insert the set’s header image, and automatically link to the set.
Hi,
Setting up my site and would love to use this plug-in!
When I press the “Authorize with Flickr” button, I’m taken to a blank screen instead of flickr. The URL i’m sent to is as follows:
It sits there and doesn’t load anything else. I tried in both Chrome and Safari. Any ideas? The only customization that might be causing an issue (that I can think of) is that I have wordpress in the /wordpress directory, but I have it set to load from the main page. Let me know if this causes an issue.

Hi!
I just installed the flickr embed plug-in and all works fine up til the time I want to upload photos. Whenever I click the flickr button on the visual board, the ffg message appears:

Hi
I started hosting my pictures on flickr and using the plug in to show them in my posts. However, since I started doing this, my “This gallery contains n photos” doesn’t seem to work anymore. The function does not seem to pick up the photos used by the plug in.
Here is my code for the gallery count:

<?php $images = get_children( array( ‘post_parent’ => $post->ID, ‘post_type’ => ‘attachment’, ‘post_mime_type’ => ‘image’, ‘orderby’ => ‘menu_order’, ‘order’ => ‘ASC’, ‘numberposts’ => 999 ) );
if ( $images ) :
$total_images = count( $images );
$image = array_shift( $images );
$image_img_tag = wp_get_attachment_image( $image->ID, ‘thumbnail’ );
?>
<?php printf( _n( ‘This gallery contains %2$s photo.’, ‘This gallery contains %2$s photos.’, $total_images, ‘twentyten’ ),
‘href=”‘ . get_permalink() . ‘” title=”‘ . esc_attr( sprintf( __( ‘Permalink to %s’, ‘twentyten’ ), the_title_attribute( ‘echo=0’ ) ) ) . ‘” rel=”bookmark”‘,
number_format_i18n( $total_images ) ); ?>
<?php endif; ?>

Is there something that is needed to be added to recognize the images from flickr?
Thanks
