Got message – new setting saved
But limit shows 2000 as before.

I have installed this plugin and changed the “Maximum File Size for Images” in 32000 KB, but after saving this setting it still shows “Server maximum: 2000 KB”.

Hello,

I just installed this plugin and it seems to work with WP 3.9.2 just a simple red warning message when an user uploads an image > 500kb.

But i notice the description/message “Maximum image size:” is only added when i select wp-admin Media>new with the multi-file uploader, when i use the browser uploader or feature image the description/message “Maximum image size:” isn’t there?? How can i make sure the description/message is everywhere?

Great plugin. Simple and useful. But like the previous post, I’d love to set restrictions based on min and max image dimensions not just file size.

I’ve found the same users who upload images too large also have a tendency to upload image too small, then WP can’t create the necessary cut down sizes to support the theme.

I think you’d have many very happy WP admins if they could give some useful feedback to their image uploaders like “Sorry but that image is just too small (minimum width of 1000px)”.

I’d love to use your plugin, however it does not appear to work in 3.8 I have installed the plugin as “Network Admin”, yet I am unable to activate it under my plugins under my site name. It does not even show up as a list of available plugins. It did install correctly I might add.

I’m trying to upload 11 png filed on one page, but after 8 pages I get “NO DATA RECEIVED” error with details like this:
“Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.

Hi there. I have giant image problems only with guest authors, so I’d like to use a plugin like this to restrict only people at the contributor level, leaving authors and editors free to upload larger images if they need to.

Is something like this possible?

Also – with the changes that wordpress made to the image uploading tool, does this plugin still work? 3.5 or later?

I’m running a multi-site network. I’ve enabled the plug-in at the network level but there is no changes to the Settings>Media page.

Your plugin is very useful. Now it handles the compressed file size only. This is only the first step.

After the upload every image runs into resize procedures. So the uncompressed file size matters. The uncompressed file size depends on the image dimensions.

What do you think about detection of the maximum supported dimension for a true color image?
