I have tested every other free inline editor plugin I could find for WordPress and this is by far the best.
PRO / CON List is at bottom of my review.
From my brief use of this plugin it is nice, clean, lightweight, and uses the built-in WP media uploader. I did NOT notice any difference in loading time for my web pages and it did NOT conflict with any of my other plugins.
Technically this isn’t 100% true inline editting as it does load a small text editing window, but it is instant and doesn’t matter in the big picture. The other downside is that sometimes depending on your theme some of the formatting option in the editor are hard or impossible to access, this is also the case with the “Update” and “Cancel” buttons to commit or cancel your current edits. Last downside is that when you click the “Edit Post” or “Edit Page” button it causes a pop-up dialog to appear. While this pop-up dialog is not horrible it is a nuisance compared to having a seperate “Edit Inline” button appear.
One of the great things about this plugin is it does NOT screw up any formatting or page elements for logged in users; unlike some other inline editor plugins. It also has a nice “double click to edit” feature that does exactly as it says. Finally this editor supports some custom “Add Media” buttons similar to the one found on the official “Getty Images” WordPress Plugin.
PROS:
– Lightweight
– Doesn’t conflict with other plugins (atleast none of my 50 – 100 that I use)
– No setup needed
– Loads instantly
– “Double click to edit” feature
– Uses built-in WP media library
– Displays some formatting options in-line
– Supports custom “Add Media” buttons (see note above)
CONS:
– Edit pop-up dialog is annoying
– Layout of the editor sometimes is distorted (see note above)
– “Update” & “Cancel” buttons are sometimes inaccessible (see note above)

Well, I knew about this plugin since long, but never used it.
Now, I needed it badly on my website and this is where it came for my rescue.
Fantastic plugin, fast and reliable! Ayush, please make many more such plugins to help bloggers, thank you so much!

This plugin works as expected. Install it, activate it and double-click a the title or body of your page/post to begin editing.
Very useful for quick edits and circumvents the need to toggle between the conventional edit page and the post/page itself.

Tinymce javascript errors occurs sometimes and sometimes not. Buttons are flying around all over the screen fields. This plugin just smash a tiny editor all over your page, and is not a true inline editor.
Perhaps a default wordpress theme without plugins will work better. Try it out for your own purpose.
Im using twentytwelve default theme, extended with a custom css and plugins.
Better to let the customer click on Edit page in the admin bar and go to a clean beckend.

I’m loving this plugin on my development site. One question: Would it be easy to set up a different keystroke to activate the editor? Double-clicking a post works on a desktop/laptop browser, but on a touch device (iPad/iPhone) a double-top zooms the screen.
