A quite useful tool but there are also big problems with performance running it with all options on blocks my computer for a few minutes or sometimes forever. Turning on footer and header sometimes helps a little but not much.
Maybe some cache would help because my disk goes crazy then so I assume that there’s a problem with files being scanned for hooks.

So slow and resource demanding that I deleted it after some testing.

How I wish the developer would either fix this or remove it (why doesn’t WordPress pull plugins that aren’t maintained!?!). Read the support forum: there are horror stories. Fortunately I had multiple browser windows open when I activated this plugin. My site broke immediately and the window I was working in wouldn’t let me navigate anywhere. (I was able to deactivate plugin in another window. Whew!)
The “plugin homepage” has been taken down and the domain name is for sale. The developer’s Twitter page hasn’t had a post in almost 2 years. And his website seems to have no content. AND his developer page at WordPress has had no action in a few years.
Seems like there’s no future for this plugin. ;-(

This plugin needs an update for the latest release of wordpress.
If you install it, your site crashes. -> FTP access needed to remove the plugin!

Throws a server 500 error on my wordpress site after installing. Maybe I’ll change my review again if its working.

The plugin crashes a site. To fix it, remove the catalog of the plugin in wp-content/plugins catalog.

Activating this plugin killed my site.
[24-Apr-2018 20:18:57 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 1719427072) (tried to allocate 1179648 bytes) in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-inspect/inc/functions.php on line 232
I had to go into the database with phpmyadmin and deactivate my plugins manually to get the site back up.
Table: wp_options
Search for option_name: active_plugins
Double click on option value, delete value, click out of the field to save
GO back in and activate all your other plugins

For months now, several of my colleagues and I are using this plugin for easily finding the right hooks and filters to help our customers out. Great tool to have on your workbench.

Being able to have the hooks position on the page, and to have extra infos by clicking on their ‘dots’, is a huge debugger helper !
I was stuck yesterday with a bug, it was in fact a playlist shortcode overidden by a plugin, with another plugin altering its render based on the infos providden by another plugin… a complete mess, for which WP Inspect (or more exactly, Hookr at this time) helps me a lot !
It is a bit slow, but I’m sure the author will find tricks to make it faster (maybe admin toolbar menu could be just text for eg). ?? (and it is not as if it should be turn on everytime so it’s ok).

This plugin is going to change my WordPress life – the amount of time I spend digging through plugins looking for filters and hooks is enormous. Can’t wait to see how much time it saves me
