WordPress says your plugin has not been updated in over 2 years and raises some concerns for us regarding security. Especially with the several recent wordpress core updates to fix security loopholes. Can you confirm that there are no current vulnerabilities with your plugin? In addition, will there be any updates in the near future for added features etc?

I’m getting this error after switching hosts.
“Problem downloading the image from Instagram”
The new host has PHP 5.5 but the older host had PHP 5.3
I believe there are some changes in the cURL handling between the versions.

Solution for PHP 5.5 or later:
– Enable CURLOPT_SAFE_UPLOAD.
– Use CURLFile instead of “@”.
Solution for PHP 5.4 or earlier:
– Build up multipart content body by youself.
– Change “Content-Type” header by yourself.
I tried adding this to the instagram.php without luck.

Hi,
Just having a small issue with the WP-Instaroll plugin, where it’s posting multiple duplicates of the same 7-8 posts over a short period of time (~48 hrs). There is a backlog of about 200-300 posts now on the site in question.
The plugin was initially configured to post from a tag stream, but we have now switched it to a user stream. It seems to have fixed the error, but we would prefer a tag stream for unrelated reasons. I was wondering if someone could tell me: (a) what might be causing this error, (b) if anyone else has experienced it before, and (c) how to prevent it for doing this in the future.

Can anyone confirm issues with the instaroll feed not working via tag or user? I’ve read a few reports of others having issues with their instagram feeds on their website and was wondering if it’s an issue with Instagram itself or this plugin.

first of all, thanks alot for this plugin. Works great and will help me too much.
However, I I’m looking for some features to make posting automatic but segregated. So, I gonna describe my issues and you will be free to implement it if you think that make sense.
If I open my website to post automatically from Instagram by hashtags, everyone can post and it’s very dangerous. If I oppen to post automatically just to me, it’s very restricted, cut the public participation and my instagram needs to be exclusive to my website. So, what is the solution? The concept is simple (but I dont know about the implementation): I like to publish automatically tree kinds of posts from instagram:
1 – Images that I (my user) like..
2 – Images that I comment with specific hashtag.
3 – Images that someone that I follow publish on Istagram with specific hashtag.
Another option is post automatically images posted by my followers with specific hashtag. This will not be util for me for now, however, this option can be very usefull to people that is looking for more followers.
I beleve that this improvements will make this plugin special, extremely usefull and different that all of other instagram plugins.

I looked carefully at the previous posts including the FAQ and have made sure that all necessary fields are filled in properly (i hope) but I’m still not able to pull in other user’s photos with a specific hashtag. I had 2 separate people do a test but it did not pull in their pictures when they used the hashtag.
The following fields are filled in:
Instagram Search Tag> with my custom hashtag
Post status for posts created from Instagram photos> draft
Photo insertion mode for posts> in post content
Automatically create posts from Instagram new photos> every minute
Instagram stream for automatic post creation> user and tag stream

Thanks for the great plug-in! Everything is working for me except when the automatic post is created from Instagram, the Instagram image does not show up in the post or as the featured image.
Under settings>Instaroll Settings I have it set to create an automatic post with the instagram image set as the featured image.
The image from instagram shows up under the Instaroll Photo Selection, so I don’t know why the photo won’t show up in the actual post.
Any ideas?

one i press the “autohrize instagram” button on the bottom i enter my passwords – fine than i press the button “Authorize” and get this message:

]]>I love the plugin. I know it takes a lot to make and maintain them so I’m grateful for your hard work.
I’ve seen a few people search for ways of getting multiple Instagram authors to show up rather than just one. You’re plugin pulls in either posts by the one author or their posts and all of the posts they follow. It would be nice to somehow make it so that users could exclude or include people they follow.
In my case my wife and I are starting family blog and we wanted both our instagram posts to show. So I needed something inbetween no friends and all friends.
My solution was to add an if statement in the ajax_panel.php (at line 81) to filter the results to only users I wanted to display.
// Filter only author Ethan and Colleen
if ($element->user->username == "colleenhackett" || $element->user->username == "ethanhackett") {I also saw people looking to do the same thing for businesses and such that have multiple people on a team. But now that I added this I can’t update the plugin without making the changes again.

Im fetching photos with a spesific tag into my blog, and it seems to work just fine if the photo is tagged as it gets published. But it doesnt show up in the “instagram photos by tag” if the tag is added later by the author or anyone else commenting the photo.
Is it possible to do something with this, in an easy way? Or should I just try to live with the limitations for now?

There are a couple of features I would really like to see in Instaroll if you would consider them?
(1) Rather than copying an image from Instagram to your Media Library and then inserting this image into a post would it be possible to insert an image link, linking directly to the original image on Instagram, into a post instead?
(2) I would like to use a featured image for my posts that is not the instagram image, it would be an image in my Media Library. I can obviously do this manually but that defeats the object of this great plugin. Would it be possible to include an option for a fixed feature image for all posts?

Is there any way to use the “Caption” from Instagram as the post title? Currently all posts will automatically have the standard title, unless changing it manually. I wouldn’t botter if “Title” and “Post content” would be the same. Even better would be if the Caption would be the post title, and the content would be empty!

I’m using the hashtag feature, which is awesome, because no other plug-ins seem to have it. I got it to create the posts, however, since I was just testing, I deleted the posts. I would like the plug-in to ‘re-find’ the photos and repost them, but I can’t seem to find a way to do it automatically. And the hashtag I’m following has several hundred photos, but only about 20 came through. Any ideas?
Also, do you know of any way to turn these into a gallery, that when a thumbnail is clicked, it takes you to the post on your wordpress rather than instagram?
