I really like WP Knowledgebase. I have made a fork of it in my github repo and I intend to keep rolling this out for clients; and I will aim to keep up with bug fixes and feature requests.
I haven’t been able to open a dialogue with the previous developers. Does anyone else have a line of open communication with them?
Hi There, I have faced an error on console KBELiveSearch is not a function, Would you please let me know how can I fix it?

Thank you
I saw that the pro-version of the plugin is shutting down.
I thought this plugin was really terrific and I wanted to ask about the fate of the plugin and if there is a future.

]]>Hi,
We are rebuilding a website with a new theme (Avada) etc. as previous theme isn’t supported anymore and breaks on WP updates.
The site has a knowledge base, with 10 categories and +/- 150 articles..
The articles themselfs are fine, if you connect directly to the article url, you get to see the article.
But the overview page and the category pages are just blank.
No errors in console or in the server log.
I would like to remove google fonts used in “Knowledgebase inner pages sidebar” due to GDPR. How can I do That.
I tried several plugins to remove google fonts but it does not work.

]]>Hi there! Question, I’m trying to order my KB posts inside a Category. It says:
Sorting KB posts using Drag & Drop. Items at the top will be appear in first.
So, I just drag and order them as I prefer And then I saved changes and it didn’t change anything. What can I do? Please help.

The top menu of our WordPress site and linked icons disappared today. Is an update needed for this theme? THanks.
]]>Is it possible to have multiple knowledge bases with this plugin?
As a hypothetical example, would I be able to have two or more knowledge bases on my WordPress site each devoted to unrelated products/services my company provides?
There would be multiple unique knowledge base index pages and the search bar would only provide results for the knowledge base a user is currently looking through.
Thanks in advance for any answer!
]]>I have been trying to change the title of the main Knowledgebase plugin. To simply change it from the word “Knowledgebase” to “Help”. From what I have read, there should be a setting that can be changed under Settings, but I do not see it. I am using the shortcode. Both the page and slug are named “Help”. I have submitted the “Get Help” form (https://usewpknowledgebase.com/contact/) twice with no reply. I would simply like to have the name “Help” on all pages of the Knowledgebase.
]]>If you go through the following URL you can see there are data showing according to category. All the categories showing right count of the posts except one. You will see XPressEntry showing 39 articles where the category has only 29 posts.

Category Name: XPressEntry
It would be very nice to have a shortcode that displayed a live results search box.
In the meantime, for anyone interested, I created a live search widget: https://gist.github.com/scottrpaterson/52460f3bb00c065cc38acdfcae785ea2
]]>On my WordPress 5.5.3, version 1.3.2 of your plugin breaks the ability to upload images to the media library.
]]>Since updating to the new version on the plugin, I’ve lost the sidebar on the main page.
I still get it on the article pages.
]]>Hello,
I updated the plugin to version 1.3.0 and now 1.3.2 too.
In the settings under “Knowledgebase Design – Main Page Template” “With right sidebar” is set.
Unfortunately, the sidebar is not displayed on the main page when I deactivate the “Use Legacy Templates” option.
But it works with “Category Page Template” and “Single Article Template”.
Does anyone know what the cause of this could be?
If I activate the option “Use Legacy Templates” again, the sidebar works again.
I’m been using this plugin for years and with the recent update, how can I limit live search results to show only the top 10?
Are there any hooks or filters for this?
]]>Version 1.3.0 is a major update that can have breaking changes. Before updating the plugin, please do a complete backup of your website and also read this release article for more details on what’s new and what you need to do if you’re having issues.
]]>Hi Mihai,
Is there a way to re-use existing post types (regular posts) and categories without modifying the plugin code? E.g. using a hook or similar.

Hello,
I updated the plugin directly to the current version 1.2.3 and now there are only 2 columns left on the homepage of the wiki.
In the options of the plugin you can now see whether the sidebar is left, right or the full width.
If I set it to “full width” I have two columns with my categories that will be used for a while.
If I set it so that the sidebar becomes right, I only have 1 column next to the sidebar.
How can I get it back to become the sidebar + 2 columns?
As a theme I use “WP Knowledge Base Version: 1.6.0”.

]]>I’ve added the shortcode to the page to display the basic knowledgebase.
I then created two sample articles and two sample categories.
They are initially organized nicely but when you click on the example articles to drill down they load a broken 404 page.
Why isn’t it showing the article copy?
I’ve tried the permalink remedy that you mention in separate support topics but it didn’t fix the issue.
Second issue – when the shortcode is added to the page example noted in this topic you’ll see the footer get squished down horizontally. It’s supposed to be full width like on every other page.
]]>I would like to control what articles get listed in the sidebar area of every article in this theme. I do not want to depend on a global sidebar and its widgets to display articles that “may” or “may not” be relevant to the existing article someone is reading. Is this possible with this theme? If so, how can we set this up?
Or is there a way to add additional custom article links to any article page, along the right sidebar area?
]]># Background
– I’m running the project site on [Pantheon](https://pantheon.io/)
– I’m on WordPress 5.4
– I have core files, themes and plugins all updated
– I have the parent theme KnowAll version 1.4 and its enabled.
– I disabled all plugins
– I have gone into my wp-admin settings to refresh permalinks
– I have 70 articles created under the Knowledge base with 19 categories.
# Steps I’ve taken
– When I attempt to re-order KnowAll categories, and click “save order”, and then fresh this admin page, it puts the categories back to the order I had previously.
– If I make the previous step, and then go into an article, and update anyone, KnowAll then updates the re-ordering process I attempted for the Categories.
– Also! when I use the Duplicator plugin to copy this entire site down to my localhost environment, and duplicate it there, the KnowAll category re-ordering process works like a charm the first time.
Why would the KnowAll Category re-ordering process not work on WordPress sites hosted on Pantheon? Why do I have to publish an article page, in order for the category re-ordering to kick in?
Thanks for any feedback on things I can check to solve this case!
]]>hi,
Where is the parent category in the breadcrumb? – i have a structure like so:
Home/Knowledgebase/parentCategory/subCategory/article
However when we navigate to a subCategory page the parent Category is not present in the breadcrumb, thus:
Home/Knowledgebase/subCategory/article
This makes it confusing as to where in the hierarchy subCategory and Articles sit. Both could belong to any parentCategory especially where topics are closely related. If we are able to create a custom permalink for the knowledgebase then i must be missing it because i cant see where we can alter it in the Permalinks page in the Settings menu??

]]>translation file lacks plural forms
Plural forms in .pot files go like this:
msgid “%d Article”
msgid_plural “%d Articles”
msgstr[0] “”
msgstr[1] “”
if you’re reading this and want to translate it right away, add that to file wp-knowledgebase.pot and then generate .po and .mo files with poedit
then copy to you /wp-content/languages/plugins folder
