Like the title says, it is the best plugin i could find to fit my needs. It’s easy to set up and the backend interface is very intuitive and easy to use.

Seems to be a nice simple plug in but I’ve had quite a few fundamental problems with it that I can’t seem to get around. The author often just comments on support tickets to read the FAQ but there’s only about 7-8 questions in the FAQ, or doesn’t comment at all.
The code seems to behave very strangely, not displaying what it should on it’s homepage despite all of the settings being as advised.
Would have given more stars if I could have found better support answers. People have encountered the same issues as I but I’ve yet to see a response that fixes the problem.

I have tested this plug-in on our website and like other comments on here it does not load the article when clicking on the link (404). Also when selecting delete all data, it might be worth noting it also deletes the page, I placed the shortcode on one of my already worked pages and guess what? it deleted that page as well.

After activation, it appear a button to guide me create the page, but after I clicked on it, it was not create any page.
I tried create a page and put in a shortcode as the plugin guide. After that i created some new articles and assign a new category for it and it appeared, however when i click on any article then it disappear.

Unfortunately whilst this looks exactly like what I wanted, installation broke my site and just causes 404 errors when clicking on a link to a page.
Would not recommend using this until it is properly tested and verified.

Gave up after 2 days trying to configure on a fresh WordPress installation (with all required infrastructure, such as correct permissions). This plugin simply doesn’t work, no matter how many times an attempt to reinstall or reconfigure was made.
Would be a really nice plugin if it actually worked, but it does not. Once fixed, I’d be happy to give it 4 or even 5 stars, but it’s unratable in its present form.

Followed all instructions and out of the box, the page where the knowlegebase should show up is blank. I can search and find, however the /knowlegebase page is blank other than the search function.
Before posting in support, I carefully followed the troubleshooting steps suggested and documented (screenshot) everything I did and my only reply was to pay $20 for them to look into it.
Well, for that I could just buy a Premium plugin. And if this worked, I would pay. But I won’t pay before it even works.

We chose this plugin and it seems too good to be true. We were having an issue with another KB Plugin and we looked at this one which seemed to solve our hierarchy problem – The description says responsive, however it is not. BIG BIG disappointment.

Great and simple plugin. Easy to set up, easy to use and provides what it promises.
The only concern is that is not update for while (e.g. the PO files are out of date for a lot of string) and the support threads have almost no answer from plugin developers.

Had nothing but problems trying to get this work.
Found many bugs and problems – then when trying to fix them using advanced customisation method, the files were ignored.
And to make matters worse, on uninstall, it deleted my pages from my website. I added the knowledgebase shortcode to the bottom of another page and after deactivation and uninstall, the page was deleted… Obviously just deletes any page with the shortcode in it?
Product is not supported either – support tickets unanswered for 3+ months – just steer clear and don’t waste your time.

I’ll start with the basics.
Nice plugin. Easy to setup. Easy to use. Just some custom post types.
However there are a few issues. It doesn’t integrate very well with your current theme. Any theme. You cannot have styling above or below the kb on the kb page. It creates a default kb page on install with shortcode. Creating a different page with the same shortcode doesn’t really work.
But the biggest thing for me is the lack of responsive support. This plugin is not responsive while its creators claim ‘Fully RESPONSIVE’ on the description tab. Yes in caps. I raised the issue on support forum and they said, yep, there’s fixed width, we may address it in future. That’s good. The support appears to be responsive. But if you know your plugin is not responsive why claim it is? Also, makes me wonder about the quality of code in general while the creators claim A when it’s B in fact.

This a very good starting point for any knowledge base. There are still going to be some things that you have to tweak to get working right and looking good on your site.
I had this plugin installed and ready to go on one of my documentation sites. I updated the plugin to the latest release, only to find that all of my single templates were jacked up and the layout was all off.
The issue is that they have gone ahead and added wp_enqueue_style ( 'kbe_theme_style' );
to the top of the single template. It would have been nice to be notified of that breaking change before pushing out the update.
Thank you for the plugin – it has saved me time.
Additionally, It is also worth noting that each time you update the documentation slug on the settings page the page where you have the short code displayed also needs the slug updated. When I update the settings page, the slug on my page is erased and set to `//.

This is pretty awesome. I looked at a ton of plugins, paid and free and while the small number of installs made me a bit leery, someone has to try it before it hits 100,000 installs. ??
Very easy to setup. Very much in the WP philosophy, just some custom post types with a nice interface. I haven’t dug into customization yet, but it looks like it should be easy. I also suspect since it’s just a CPT, adding stuff is going to be easy.

I needed to migrate our Knowledge Base from a 3rd party site to our site and I wanted to find a simple KB plugin so we didn’t have to make one from scratch.
This one looked pretty good so I decided to give it a shot and It worked out great!
I managed to get our KB up and running on our site in 2 days. I love that the templates and CSS are automatically copied to the theme on activation, so we could completely customize the look and feel of the main KB page, archive pages and articles.
