Hello,
Have a warning with wordfence about ur plugin.
The Plugin “WP Mail From II” appears to be abandoned (updated 19 December 2020, tested to WP 5.6.10).
Type: Plugin Abandoned
Issue Found 21 December 2022 19:49
Still safe to use it?
Thanks!
Hello,
I like your simple plugin.
Could you just fix the deprecation warnings related to screen_icon() and get_screen_icon() functions?
Thank you!
]]>Hi, I was sent here from this WooCommerce thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cant-change-e-mail-address/
I’ll copy-paste the issue here:
I’m trying to change the e-mail address that is used to send e-mails from WooCommerce. When I’m changing the values in the form (see picture below), the emails are still sent from the old email address.
Form I’m changing: click here
I’ve already purged the WooCommerce caches, it didn’t work.
Any help will be appreciated.
]]>Hi,
The “email from name” seems to be working but the email from still shows as [email protected]
Any ideas on why this is?
Many thanks
]]>Hi,
my “From Email Address” is like
webmaster@diebioküche.de
(ü => german “Umlaut”, which is a correct character für domainnames)
This input is not accepted by the Settings Form.
After “Save Changes”, the form returns with an empty field.
Testing with “[email protected]” -> OK
Maybe, the input verification is too strict?
Regards
Günther
Is there a way we can use this plugin for other email accounts that are not listed as the default WordPress email account? for example, my current default email account is [email protected] and the From Name is set to Hickory Hills. I would also like to set email account [email protected] to have a From Name of Hickory Hills.
Do you know if this plugin is capable of handling multiple email accounts (and not just overriding the default one)? If we are able to use this plugin for multiple email accounts, would we still need to select both override options?
Thanks for your help!
Dusty B.
]]>Hello,
Reaching out to the plugin author to see if anyone has potentially seen this happen with this plugin. We are running Wordfence and see that somehow this plugin folder was infiltrated and a file called modal.php (not part of the plugin files) was created. Not pointing the finger saying this plugin has a leak but wanted to open the dialogue.
File appears to be malicious: wp-content/plugins/wp-mailfrom-ii/modal.php
This file appears to be installed by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The text we found in this file that matches a known malicious file is: “\x65\x76\x61\x6C\x28”.
WordPress: Fully updated 4.4.2
Wordfence: Version 6.0.24
Please, any users who can say whether the plugin is compatible with version 4.4.1.?
Thanks
]]>I am in the process of rebuilding my site on WordPress. I have created a dedicated email account on Go Daddy = [email protected] – so I can use this email address with ecard Lite (this app recommended to use your plugin). When testing in WordPress, all emails sent to MSN.com mailboxes goes to spam. I have the “from name”, “from email address” set as [email protected] in the WP Mail From II and both boxes are checked marked to override. Do you have any recommended troubleshooting for me to try? Thank you in advance.
]]>I even tried to uninstall and reinstall this plugin and it is not working.
]]>Hi, my aol test email account is not receiving the mp3 purchases on my site and my gmail test account is receiving the link, but with a warning
“This message may not have been sent by: (myname)@gmail.com Learn more Report phishing”
Please advise.
]]>Is this still ok with current WP version?
]]>I’d made a translation from this nice plugin. Can I email it to you?
You can mail me via rdecaluwe [at] webzenz [dot] nl
I currently installed the MailFrom II plug in and activate it. I followed the instruction but the email from the site is still appearing from username@box###.BlueHost.com instead of the email I have in the script.
Did I miss something?

]]>I have tested your plugin. Is easy and works fine. ??
But could be useful also change Return-Path email address. Are you planning this update?
]]>After latest update it’s not working anymore. (Tried in a few sites).
No matter what email you put in the settings, the emails are sent using the administrative email address in WordPress “Settings -> General”
]]>what exactly is different in this version Only set email address and name if overwriting the default WordPress values
]]>Hi,
I am using your plugin flawlessly on my personal blog, but I needed it to be working on a multisite wordpress installation on the same server (subdomain) and I can’t make it work.
It has been network activated and I filled my php.ini sendmail -f to use the same address but I seem unable to get it working.
Is it just my config missing something or it’s a normal behaviour that it cannot work on a multisite?
Regards
Hi I tested this plug-in and it doesn’t appear to be working – I have Buddypress installed and S2Member. When I click on “forgot password” ont he login screen I get an email to reset my password, and it’s from the default: [email protected]
Can you help fix this?
Melinda
]]>I’ve got a situation whereby the welcome email contains a link for user to log-in but I’ve changed that url for security reasons so I’d love to be able to change the link included in the email to the new one, is there any possibility of this being added to this plugin?
It’s the only wp-mail editor that’s actually worked for me (I’ve tried SB Welcome Email Editor, EZ Mails, WP Email Template, Register Plus Redux, and snippets of code from the internet pasted into a functions.php plugin).
]]>How can I make this plugin work with Contact Form 7? It over-rides the From settings in Contact Form 7 so if you hit reply, you basically reply to yourself?
Thanks.
]]>Found the Mail From II and installed it and activated same…
Yet I still get this error when I try to test the “send my password” funcitonality…
The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…
The email does exist and is activated as I’ve logged into my ded server and made sure it’s up and running fine…
