after some issues with the lightstart plugin i set it to inactive, deactivated it and finally deleted it. but still, very often the 403 maintanance page is still there. i deleted also the maintanence page (not sure if it was from lightstart) the last screenshot the Console error leads me to this URL https://developer.mozilla.org/de/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie#samesitesamesite-value

there is something wrong since i deleted the plugin. can you please help me out what i have to do to make it work properly again? thanks

Hi all,

The form submission is working fine – i.e. the submit button displays ‘success’ and an e-mail is sent to the submitted e-mail ID, however the subscriber stats stay at 0 showing ‘You have 0 subscribers’.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note: The SMTP configuration has been done through the WP Mail SMTP plugin and has been tested successfully.

Although the plugin works normally, it seems to affect the WPforms plugin so that a phantom section appears (marked in red in the image).

When I open LightStart settings page:

/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-maintenance-mode

I got this PHP Notice in debug.log file:

Hi, I wanted to ask something about the countdown mode, when the countdown timer reaches zero is the page and maintenance mode automatically deactivated?

one sitethat is still in maintenance had their wp-content/uploads directory shown on Bing search, even though public users couldn’t access it.

Any way to prevent bing from searching the site?

I have been getting an error message every time I activate the lightstart plugin.
This has been going on for some time but I have ignored it as the error does not crash the site and disappears from the screen upon refreshing WP Admin.
However, having enabled debugging for another issue I thought it was about time to try and resolve it!

Any suggestions? Or is it a case of just creating a new template for the plugin to use when enabled?

My elementor editor is not working after using this plugin. It’s on opens in safe mode and I cannot edit my pages. I have tried to deactivate the plugin, but it’s not work, it allways enable.

I have a big problem – the page doesn’t go away even after uninstalling and deleting the plugin!?

I’ve tried to delete the generated page, as the developer suggests in another thread, or the page I chose to use as the maintenance page. I’ve reinstalled the plugin, have it generate the page called “maintenance page”, uninstalled it again, and deleting the generated page – again. I’m not using a caching plugin and I’ve even disabled HTTP caching on my host.

I’m at a complete loss of what to do. This was a new site (hence the need for a maintenance page) so I’m considering just reinstalling from scratch from a fresh database.

My other links, to social media pages, are working but the only one that will not work is the privacy policy. It keeps taking me to the coming soon (home) page. Why is this not working? I even tried to put the instagram url in this spot and it also won’t work.

Hello, i have problem. i tried to install your add on, but after few days i tried to deactivated and nothing happened, even after deactivating. I found maintanance site in all websites list but even after deleting im still stuck with this page. Thanks for help. Delete cache didnt work either

I’ve used this plugin for years and always used my own custom page via wp-maintenance-mode.php in the wp-content folder. The latest incarnation of this plugin seems to ignore this. Is this not possible anymore? I don’;’t want to use a template.

I’m trying to customize the maintenance mode page for my WordPress site by adding a custom message and branding. However, none of the changes I make in the maintenance mode settings seem to apply. The maintenance page still displays the default message and design. How can I resolve this and personalize the maintenance mode page?

With compatibility mode enabled in custom page the form (from Forminator plugin) is not displayed

I installed the plugin and activated the bot. When i tested it closed the bot window after entering the email. the export does not show entries.

The maintenance page work’s great.

The form on the maintenance page looks great and even appears to work from the front end, …. BUT ….

The form is not recording people’s email addresses when they sign up, although it says it’s successful.

User role restriction doesn’t work with Buddypress. Every user has access to the frontend though not being in the frontend list (and then to every page)

I just deactivated the lightstart plugin and my homepage just has the text from the maintenance page

When the plugin was active the homepage was fine. i tried reseting the page to my original one but nothing is working. When i edit the homepage on elementor everything is fine. but when i go to homepage the page says the text from lightstart and there is no admin bar on the top

Hello. As per the title, I’d like to remove the social icons from the page, but the option (in my version) is no longer present.

I can see it in the plugin screenshots (old version?), but on the latest version, UI.

I would really like to know if it is possible to save a template, since I want to backup my website and don`t want to be wasting time doing my template again from scratch.
It goes about the template created using LightStart plugin.

I just want to add that after creating the template, the header on my website got disappeared. Is this possible to fix this issue without backing the website up?

I recently restored my website and now my website seems to be redirecting to the maintenance page even though maintenance mode is not active anymore.

I created a holding page using a custom page from my site while I built my website. Now I’m putting it live so I don’t need a waiting page anymore and want to go back to default maintenance mode.
It doesn’t work, I absolutely have to choose a page. How do I go back to the basic configuration without using a page created on the site or using a page template? I try the reset button but no change. Thanks

I can’t remove/deactivate the LightStart maintenance page I created because my blog looks crazy/terrible now. The second I activated LightStart I got a doomsday message from WordPress telling me my site had a “critical error” which I now see what was once my homepage/blog is completely messed up. It’s not showing individual posts. Instead all of the feature images are gigantic & it just is a long scroll of maybe 15 posts before there’s nothing else (there should be 100 individual posts). I’ve been building WordPress websites for 15 years & have had this site for 3 years & have never had a plug-in screw up my website like this … ever. I wish I had looked at your reviews before trying this plug-in. I see I’m not the only one this has happened to. I’m not happy. Please advise.

I downloaded the maintenance plug in and customised the page.
I activated it, but it doesn’t work
I am either getting a 502 bad gateway or the actual site, not the maintence page.

I am also slightly annoyed that two extra unwanted and unasked for plug ins were automatically added to my site when I downloaded the maintenance page one. I have deleted them.

How do I update the Twitter logo to the X logo? The social media logos appear to be taken from a sprite file, so perhaps you will have to update that file so that it contains the X logo instead of the Twitter logo?

I was able to use this plugin to successfully create a coming soon page but for some reason I have a warning banner at the top of the page and i can’t figure out why. Can someone please help with this? Sharing a link and screenshot.
