I have 2 questions.
I’m using MDTF to sort by categories and tags.
1. (bigger issue). When I use the filter for categories, my result page title becomes “Archive for category: “category name””. When i sort by tags the title becomes “Tag archive: “tag name”. How can I remove the Archive part and leave only the category/tag name?
2. Is it possible to put a message on 1 of the categories? The website is for a Pastry and i’m preparing to add “Available Today” category. I want to add a message that the available things are listed on the start of the work day, and it is possible that they will be sold out by the end of it.

Thank you for a wonderful plugin. I have a problem with getting a whole lot of WooCommerce Attribute values to sort as numbers. The best I’ve managed so far is to get all numbers sorted starting with 1, then all 2’s etc which results in 90mm2 appearing at the end of the list after 600mm2.

I have used the MDTF Advanced function to clear the cache (both options) and I have cleared site cache.

I just installed MDTF on a test page.
I managed to get it working and filtering properly.
Unfortunately, after I select a tag from the dropdown menu it filters them,
but when I choose back the row Tag (default one), or use the button reset, the website goes to the front page (right now it goes to the page, which i have selected to be also front page).
When it comes to filtering categories the reset button still doesn’t work, but when I choose the row Categories, it displays all.

Hello, and thanks for the amazing plugin, there just seem to be a small issue in our website, when a search is made from a custom taxonomy, it only shows 3 posts, and there should be 5, the query it’s not showing all the posts.

So I’m trying to create a filter and have the meta keys reflect automatically. In the back end, it works,

I want to sort/filter Review badges (see site). For the Badges i use a plugin called ?WP reviews Pro“ Each of the Badges have different amount of reviews/ratings, so each Badge represent the average rating and number of reviews of different Websites combined. I try to allow users to sort and filter the Badges by ‘number of reviews’, ‘average rating’ & ‘alphabetic order’. Is this possible with this plugin?

When I filter custom post types with shortcode, click on an item to view the post, and then click the back button, the dropdowns show the previous filter settings, but the results are not actually filtered. In your demo the behavior is as desired – when hitting the back button after navigating to a post within the filtered results, you return to the filtered results.

The difference I notice between the demo site and the site I am working on is that when the filter is applied on the demo site, a query string appears. There is no query string when applying filters on the site I am working on.

I have a custom post type and custom taxonomies created using the pods plugin.
With this plugin, I made filter based on these custom taxonomies.
Everything used to work fine but now suddenly without changing anything it stopped working.

Without the plugin active the page loads in about 1 second, but if the plugin is active the page takes a long time to load and it has happened to me that it didn’t load because it took too long.

I have a filter with multiple ajax results options (category wise results) in a single page for that page if i filter only the first ajax results get changed the other result not getting changed.

I have added your date filter to woo commerce products and assign a particular date when product is available but when i filter the product it doesn’t show up between the dates setup it only shows with date which is given for ex a date 5/8/2022 to 31/8/2022 is given available dates then only this days it shows up in filter if i have give a date in middle of this it does not work why is it like this ?

first of all I must say I came upon this plugin completely by chance. It’s pretty down the list in the plugin search, which is a pity because I would have loved to find it much sooner!
All your videos and explanations helped me understand what I’ve ought to do.

Anyways, I managed to create the filter I want and I’m happy with it, but I would like the results to display in a grid and not in the default WP display. Is there a way I can implement this?
BTW, I’m filtering posts and not products.

1. My problem with the MDTF-filter occurs with mobile/tablet. If I wish to come back to the [self] page on mobile or tablet after filtering, the [self] page “loading” indefinitely. I add the filter in Elementor panel – please see the screenshot

Problem on mobile-android-chrome/MiUI

Problem on tablet – iOS -safari/chrome/yandex

2. After adding [shortcode] of the plugin to the post in Elemenor panel, Elementor stops working if I wish to edit the post – ” you must call ‘the_content’ “. Without using the MDTF plugin [shortcode] this problem doesn’t occur.

Currently, in order to display the dropdown with values, you have to manually fill them in (Append drop-down option). Is there any way to display the meta-value dynamically in the dropdown instead of adding it manually? Posts are pulled from the API and I don’t always know what values are being pulled.

I’m using “MDTF Taxonomies only” widget in my Sidebar, for featured_item post types, in order to filter Portfolio Categories. From the “Show as” Options Menu, I’ve tried them all, and only “drop down” seems to work. For “checkbox” and “label”, I keep getting the next error when I click the filtering button:

And as for the “Multiple checkbox select”, the different categories won’t even show ( seems like the window gets cropped ). My intention was having the option of selecting multiple filters at once, therefore, the Drop down configuration won’t fit my requirements.
Any ideas as how to fix the errors I’m getting for the rest of the Show as options?

Description of problem: On mobile or tablet, when the user press the search button with the mdtf plugin, and then presses the browser’s back button, it will show the mdtf stuck on the latest selection and displays a loading animation “one moment” that stays like this forever.

Has anyone else experienced this?

A few days ago i found out that because of your plug-in my site using the 100% cpu from my server.

Noticed that the “site health status” on a site is flagging a critical error:
An active PHP session was detected.
Looked at each plugin on the site and narrowed down the issue to the WordPress Meta Data and Taxonomies Filter (MDTF) plugin. On deactivation of the plugin the error goes, reactivating it brings it back.

I have tried to disable all the other plugins, my theme, and delete and reinstall MDTF plugin and even try to use other versions.

Hi and thank you for your useful plugin.
I am using the taxonomies widget which filters post categories and tags. It works fine, but when there are no results matching the selection, the results page is a blank page and I need to show a message saying there were no results and the possibility to add a button to go back or something similar. Is that possible or included in the free plugin or am I missing something? I think this is must be for proper UX.
