When I disable manual synchronisation, a checkbox appears “synchronize menu”. When I check it, nothing happens. No new pages appear on the website, no change in order is reflected. What do I have to do to make it synchronize the menu with the menu on the website?
When I enable manual synchronization, I get two buttons “synchronize page order” and “synchronize menu” (or something like that, I have to translate from german). Neither of those buttons seems to work. When I add new pages or change order, those buttons will not synchronize anything. What do I have to do to make them synchronize?
I always have to go to APPEARANCE->MENUS and manually add the pages, which is very very cumbersome when you have a lot of pages because it adds new pages at the bottom of the page tree – you have to move the new entries one by one with your mouse across the whole page tree up to the desired position – which is a major PITA, even when you have “Nav Menu Collapse” installed.
What do I do wrong?

But it has no effect, all pages are shown in the menu.
Now I have now hidden some menubuttons via CSS.
For example, I have checked the box on the page “Der Berater”. It is shown still.

]]>Pages view after today’s plugin update has cause issues & the css breaks. I can’t share the website as it is a client’s website.
They are having issues in general with the pages loading, on their production page they are not able to view Pages in the Nested Page view, they can only load the Default Pages view
I’ve used this plugin on many sites, and this is the first time I can’t correctly update the Post Type options within:
/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=nested-pages-settings&tab=posttypes
After hitting “Save Changes”
Notably, the options update and save just fine on the General tab:
/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=nested-pages-settings
I’m even able to reset all the options so that only Pages are nested, but then if I go back to the other tab and click “save” it reverts to multiple things checked.
I tried changing the values in the DB and that just wipes out any options selected, and I’m back to square 0.
This is happening on any site I have the plugin installed on, and probably happened in the last couple plugin version updates.

]]>I can nest a group of pages one level deep and the pages still work as intended. When I go one more level beyond that, the pages will now display like a post and give author name and date published. The page also gets very squished for some reason. I’m using Elementor as well.
If you click on one of the 3 listed categories of products, let’s say fasteners, you should hopefully be able to replicate the problem.

I really hope you can help, as I’ve tried everything to resolve this. I am using the Pods plugin and have around 10 different hierarchical Custom Post Types I’m using Nested Pages with and it has been a lifesaver! Thank you so much for this plugin! Anyway, I just recently started having issues with the plugin on just one specific post type and the only thing that is different with that one is that it has a lot more posts (199) compared to my other post types. When I click on Nested View for that CPT it is only showing 1/199 posts and says there has been a critical error on the site. Is there maybe a limit to the number of posts this plugin can display/work with? I really wish I knew something else to try.. I am not a developer and am figuring this all out on my own, so I really hope you can help or at least give me a couple things to try if you have any ideas. This was a huge piece of my workflow and I’m hoping to make more progress today because need to launch my site soon. Trying not to freak out. I need to nest the posts and also found the add multiple items to be HUGELY helpful.

With or without configuration, your built in Admin Menu Editor breaks other, more robust Admin Menu Editors per user level output. 1) Hover over a page > Click “Quick Edit”
- This opens the Quick Edit UI in place.
- Toggle the status of “Private”.
- Click “Update”.
- On average takes 34 secs (!) (measured 3 tests: 36, 34, 31 secs)
- In the past this took around 2-4secs! And method 2 still takes about 4 secs.
2) Select a single page > Bulk Edit > Edit > Apply
- This opens the Bulk Edit UI on top.
- Change status from “Private” to “Draft”.
- Click “Update”.
- On average takes 4secs (tested 3 times where 1 page got 1 attribute changed, I get consistent reaction timings)
- Also when testing with 12 pages which all get the same single attribute changed, the timings don’t change. That attribute processing seems to take an unsignificant part, the whole UI model updating and delays inbetween seem to make up the significant part.
Performance Problem
- Effectively method 1 and 2 change the same page attributes. Nevertheless their speed differs significantly.
- Which is a shame because the Quick Edit de facto ain’t a Quick Edit anymore. Hope this can get fixed!
Debugging / Suspicions
- I guess the Quick Edit runs some kind of legacy function, or a function which initially fails, but due to a fallback somehow still works, but takes significantly longer.
- php_error.log and apache_error.log show no errors for the timeframe in question!

is it possible to make the web view of the Nested Pages collapsible? Similar to how its admin view is? If that is not possible out of the box, I am willing to pay for that capability to be added.

recently at the top of the list of pages an empty white field has appeared.
When I tried to delete it, I got an error message and discovered that great part of my pages were in the trash.
My site was basically trashed as well, I had to restore from backup.
Again, this problem has appeared just recently. Can you please fix it?

The “Clone” link next to page titles in Pages > All Pages does not seem to be working. Clicking it refreshes the page and there is no cloned page. However clicking the ??? menu and choosing “Clone” does seem to work correctly.

]]>I love this plugin for letting me arrange my live navigation with the hierarchy of pages in admin, which frees me from having to create my page structure twice (and remember to update my menu if I add a page that needs to be in the navigation). This just seems logical to me and I’m baffled that this isn’t a builtin option in WordPress. But when I updated to a block theme (2023), Nested Pages no longer functioned. The theme took the menu Created by Nested Pages, but it was no longer dynamically updated when modifying page order or adding pages in admin.
I read a post on WordPress under Nested Pages that described using Max Mega Menu and assigning it the Nested Pages nav. I can do this, but that menu still was not updated with changes I made in admin.
Also, when I delete the Nested Pages menu, Nested Pages does no recreate it, which I believe it did before I started using the 2023 them.
Any suggestions of how I might proceed?
]]>Hi, I have a custom post type with several custom taxonomies set up as an online periodical magazine of sorts, organised by edition. Edition is one such of those custom taxonomies, and it would be useful to be able to use NP within a filtered view of posts allocated to a specific Edition, if that makes sense.
Currently, the Sort View shows me all posts across all editions, when I want to be able to limit that to show only posts in a specific Edition (normally accessed by clicking the “count” figure in the taxonomy listing page), and use NP within that view.

I am using nested pages plugin or is it creating extra links in Google search console or due to this, Ranking of the website is causing issue on Google.
If any page comes under any other page then this plugin also crawls the URL of single page on Google or the nested page plugin which creates the URL also crawls it. The URL of a single page is creating the issue of redirecting the page.
Please look at this issue or help me how to solve it..
We just upgraded to 3.2.5 but now no users can see Bulk Actions.
In Settings, for every Nested Page type, for Bulk Edit Role, all roles are ticked. Have tried ticking and unticking. Cleared cache. Logged in and out. Multiple users seeing same thing.
Is there some other setting we need to use to activate them again?
