Our website has used this plugin for our Photography galleries for some time now. It is the best one out there in my opinion.

Plugin is great and really powerful with lots of settings. But it ”eats” a lot of memory so other plugins stopped working. I do not need all those numerous settings, I just need a gallery with possibility for users to download and comment pictures from frontend, so I decided to look for another decision. I`ve made contribution in translating this plugin into Ukrainian. Wish you luck ??

I wanted to display my photo on my website by allowing users to select an album with photos grouped by category (B&W, Landscape, People, etc.) from which they would see a gallery of thumbnails of all the images. By clicking on the thumbnail they could see a larger version of the image. Finally, if they are interested in buying the image they can click on the large version which takes them to my third-party order fulfillment site. WP Photo Album Plus was the only plugin the could provide this type of functionality that I could find. It works great. The developer, Jacob N. Breetvelt, is very responsive and helpful also if there is ever an issue or question. I highly recommend this plugin.

I use WP Photo Album Plus for the presentation of historical postcards. It is a fantastically powerful tool with a lot of possibilities. Especially the mass import of images with the corresponding data as CSV file were crucial for me. But the other functions are also impressive with very many setting options.
Furthermore, the very fast support for questions of understanding or also function extensions is extremely good. Many thanks to Jakob and the other supporters.

Already 6000 albums and nearly 50000 photos in my website and it works perfectly, and “cherry on the cake” the support is very responsive and open to changes.

Clean install. Few hundreds of rows in wp_options table – all of them with autoload set as true.. None of them are removed after deinstalling the plugin. None of them are used all the time.
Some people are saying that WP is a joke, which is insecure and slow. This is a plugin which is causing such opinions…

This is probably the best FREE Gallery plugin for WordPress. Nothing hidden and no paid / pro / plus versions. Completely free.
Not sure what to mention first about it.
Has his own folders (not in WP media libs).
Has TONES of options.
Every user has his own album with upload and that is a first. I haven’t seen that in other free galleries.
Very fast in everything.
The support is exceptional.

This plugin and its author are both amazing. Our site uses it for a store catalogue and it is hands down the best! (far better than anything I tested that were designed specifically as store catalogue plugins). It is highly customizable and adaptable.
The support forum is also a great place to check out issues/problems and Jacob is always quick with a response/solution.

This gallery is the only WordPress gallery that can handle and organise large numbers of albums and photos. Combined with many features and being hugely customisable, this gallery should suit any heavy duty gallery requirements!

I downloaded this program for a simple slide show on my front page. Damn if I can figure out how to add new photos to it. There is no simple solution. This program does to much. So stinking confusing that if you do not use it every day then plan on spending HOURS of your time trying to figure out how to do the simplest of tasks. Uploading a new photo should not be this tough. Shit just ad a photo please.
I have now spent nearly an hour trying to figure out the simply (should be) task of adding a few photos to my slideshow and have them show up on my page. I can not. Even when I search for Upload a photo I get nothing that will help. If you want your mind completely blown go to settings and try to figure out what all that crap means. YIKES, Seems that DELETE is the simplest solution. Easier to learn a whole new program than to try to use this one.

Very good plugin, when starting first time easy standard setup by questionary done.
Afterwards a lots of switches and changes possible. And if you cannot find the correct way, short question to Jacob – you will get soonest an answer directly from him in the support-forum.

An amazing depth and breadth of functionality and flexibility. There are so many configurable options on the settings page that at first it’s a bit overwhelming, but the defaults are good, and it’s not hard to find settings to tweak things to your liking once you look for them.

Persevere with this plugin and you will not be disappointed. There are more settings than you can shake a stick at but if you start with just a basic Album and then learn the different options you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how easy it can be. The ability to personalize each image and album, plus the use of shortcodes is easy to follow. The plugin is constantly being updated with new features and the developer answers queries promptly. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

I’m very very impressed with this plugin. It does everything it says and more. HIGHLY customizable(mat plugins say they are but aren’t, or charge you for those features). This plugin really is the one stop shop of photo album displaying and sharing. However you want your photos to display, this plugin will let you. Whatever colors or even fonts you want to use, this plugin lets you. The documentation is EXCELLENT, and the system of settings is incredibly organized and easy to use/comprehend. There is no crazy vocabulary you have to learn. This really is a DREAM plugin. I cannot believe it is free. I keep wondering when I might run into something I can change how I want, or run into a paywall… but it never ever happens. EXCELLENT work! This is the bar all other plugin developers need to match!
