I have a few pages (post_type=page) and lots of products (post_type=product).
I see you only use post_type=page.

When i go to a page (not product) like https://www.aanbiedingmonitor.nl/prijsvergelijkers/autoverzekering-vergelijken/
and change one letter it always goes to https://www.aanbiedingmonitor.nl/

Your code does see the 404 because if i rewrite your redirect to https://www.example.com. It goes to that page.

Hi, I tried this Extension Primary to Redirect wrong tag pages after I renamed the permalink Taxonomie Settings. The plugin works, bot only redirects to one page – but not to the better matching tag page.

Is ist possible to include the tags/categories to the matching?
