WP Resolutions is built from Matt Wilcox’s Adaptive Images. It was updated on February 19, 2012 to version 1.4. It auto-creates the ai-cache folder with the correct permissions, and reduces the installation to a two step process.
Whether this will work or not in WordPress as an updated version of the WP Resolutions Plugin is unknown.
The plugin’s developer has not updated yet.
]]>Right after activating the plugin, my site returned a “500 Server Error”. I’ve done research, so I knew right away that the trouble was with the code added in the .htaccess file by the WP Resolutions plugin. I deleted that code, and re-saved the .htaccess file. My site came back on.
I’ve read many other instances of this .htaccess code “breaking” other sites. Do you know why this occurs? Is there a way to get this plugin to be fully-functional?
