Great plugin! I use it for a headless WordPress instance with Nuxt 3, and it works perfectly fine.
The only thing I needed to change was the API endpoint since I created a custom endpoint to the route. But the FAQ cleared this up quickly and it works flawlessly. As a small suggestion I’d propose to add this option to the plugin’s settings page for easier access.

It’s been years since I touched wordpress or php. My usecase was very tricky and not doable out of the box.
It worked out great in the end and the response time is now 4-5 times quicker. Amazing.
But the best part is how quickly Richard answered to my noob questions and even fixed a bug I found.

When using LiteSpeed’s own cache, it was caching results regardless of JWT Authentication. This was a security problem, because when using LiteSpeed’s API Cache, if a post (or CPT) was authenticated, then that Authentication was removed, the API request still returned data.
I would have to flush the cache to make the data safe again. Obviously this is a huge issue for sensitive data.
I started looking around for code that would create a custom REST Authentication plugin, that slowed everything down, and didn’t work, even after hours of research and trial & error.
By disabling LiteSpeed’s API Cache and using this plugin I was able to ensure only Authenticated requests are processed, whilst still getting a great cache speed, it reduced my speed (for a single post request) from about 150ms to 50ms!
In the settings I changed: Global cacheable request headers to
Authentication,Authorization
Overall, a great replacement for LiteSpeed’s own Cache, so far.

I have been using this plugin on a few projects and it has been extremely useful, but recently I came across a few more complicated scenarios I needed to cater for and the plugin author has been extremely helpful in discussing the extra config that I needed. Definitely recommend.

Nobody wants a slow application. What better place to start than the REST API. Because if that is slow imagine what happens when javascript loads are added on top. I did some performance test with small jsons and custom endpoints. It cuts loading time about in half. Thanks acato.

We use REST-API for our Android and iOS apps to get posts, etc., without caching this costs a lot of CPU. With this plugin it takes NO CPU and it’s really fast!

Built well and a nice plugin… except when you need to have 200,000+ items cached it causes mysql cpu usage to max out. They should have used a new indexed table instead of relying on the wp_options table with the wp transients api to handle a large cache. For my use case the site is much much faster without the plugin but if you don’t need to cache a ton of requests it should work well for you.
