I have a website with 6 different templates for the pages. Each of these templates has a different set of photos to display.
I’m not sure how to do this.
I was thinking possibly a custom field with a value for each of the templates but then I don’t know how to integrate that into the template files.
I understand very basic programming.
]]>I’m using https://wp-events-plugin.com for an events custom post type. The events posts are being displayed via WP Rotator on the front page of chefsconsortium.com. Currently its order is based on when the post/event was created, though I need them to display based on the event start date (which is a meta field). Any way to achieve more control over WP-Rotator display i.e. display order based on a custom post type’s custom meta field?
Thanks!
]]>Hi Bill and thank you for a great plugin. I updated some plugins and my site got just blank. After solving that I ended up with a rotator with images not visible (during that attempt the rotator images were visible but disappeared when activating Flexslider for WP Rotator). When deactivating flexslider for WP-Rotator, everything above footer disappear.
Any way in the Firebug I clearly see that WP-rotator is active.
I imagine the solution is easy but I am about to get nuts trying to solve it.
What am I doing wrong? If it is a PHP issue which I assume it is please answer so that a beginner would understand.
The website is https://www.e-marketingcenter.com
All the best Robert

]]>What would the query be to use a link to the post of an image?
]]>I was wondering if there is a quick method for making the widget rotate through random posts from a post type on page refresh (currently it rotates on a timer). I am using this for testimonials and am not happy with the testimonial plugins available. I thought I would just create a custom post type and am trying to expedite the development of the rotating functionality. If there is a better solution (premium plugin?), feel free to suggest something else. Thanks!
]]>Anyway to get some examples of the added functions markups, i.e. I’d like to add link to relative post not by image, but by post title. Thanks!
]]>This rotator script is exactly what I’ve been searching for. Thanks for sharing. Now I need some direction on different types of queries, i.e. Specific Category and No. of Posts to return. Any advice on a good resource for different query samples? Thanks again.
]]>Hey,
wondering how I could define the default dimensions from a theme? Can I pass parameters to wp_rotator?
I tried using wp_rotator_default_array in my theme but I don’t think that works?
I was just wondering if there’s a simple way to have a client create their own sliders so they can embed them inside their posts on their own. Something that works more like Slidedeck. I’m more interested in WP Rotator because it works with Flex Slider so you can use a slider in Responsive design sites. Slidedeck, as I understand it, does not support this. But the advantage of Slidedeck is that clients can generate their own sliders on the fly without developer support. Just wondering.
]]>I’ve gotten this to work fairly well. I can’t get the fade transitions to look as smooth as they do on your demo site. The slide fades out all the way before fading into the next which creates an irritating flicker effect. I’d like the images to fade into each other so it appears smoother. Any way to control this?
]]>After upgrading to the latest WP Rotator plugin, neither the shortcode (e.g., [wp-rotator]) nor the WP-Rotator widget honor the Post Query Vars settings in the panel.
In my case, the vars are this: post_type=rally-sponsor&status=published&showposts=-1&posts_per_page=-1&sponsorship=media,platinum
The widgets are not showing just the custom taxonomy values I have chosen nor are they loading the images that they should.
