What’s going on,
I’d like to say that this is a good plugin. With that in mind, will it be updated anytime soon??? Let me know ????
I only load GA after the user consents to Cookies. I have a special provider for this. My Client requested this Plugin to be integrated. However, the Plugin doesn’t track Data, if GA isn’t set.
I tried to reset the Plugin, after GA is loaded, but this doesn’t work. Also I tried to add the same Blocking code to the scripts in this Plugin, but without any success. The Plugin works, once I disable the Consent Manager.
The only other workaround I could see is if I could set the GA tracking manually, so GA doesn’t have to be active for the Plugin to work.
Has anyone experienced the same Problem or would anyone have a Idea on how to solve this Issue?
great plugin, any plans to update it e.g. bug with field true twice.

Hi,
I have installed plugin in my wordpress website and added required parameters. The functionality which need to be true or false. When I select any dropdown it showing only true/true instead of true/false.
Second thing after activated plugin the data is not showing in Google analytics.
Could you please suggest what should I do?
Thanks,
Jaydeep
I have some very basic questions for which I could not find answers. I use the plugin on this website.
1. By default, does it measure web page (header-content-footer) depth or just content (WP page or WP post) depth?
2. If a visitor scrolls 100% then does it get events also for 25%, 50% and 75% = 4 unique events? Or just one event for 100%? For example for this page I have more 75% events than 25% and 50% events. How many unique visitors were on that website?
Hey all,
We’ve activated this plugin but no real-time events are firing in GA. We’ve integrated GA via the Insert Headers and Footers plugin.
Code has been added to source
No errors in console
We use sticky headers but when we deactivated them in a test run there were still no real-time events.Any help is appreciated.
Hello,
I just discovered this magic plugin and have already found how to see real time events on GA.
But how can I see the consolidated srolldepth per page on GA ?
Best regards
Both options in each of the settings say TRUE, even when the value is FALSE. The HTML source looks like:

true
true
The JS output on the front end looks correct. But it is annoying to have to look at the source codes to see if TRUE was TRUE or was it FALSE.
Cheers
I’m getting the error “jQuery.scrollDepth is not a function” in the console.
Any ideas?
Hi!
Is it possible to internationalize the plugin? I would like to do the German translation directly.
Background: Many of my customers in Germany use the plugin. A German version would offer itself to understand it better.
I have found that the plugin cannot be used with the analytics code currently proposed by Google.
Is that true or is it a mistake on my part? Since the change to the new Analytics Code I don’t get a scroll depth anymore.
Hey I just wanted to know if you store cookies or use data? Is this plugin compliant with the GDPR? Thanks.
Hi,
I’ve been trying to get this plugin to work, but I still don’t see any ‘events’ in my Google Analytics dashboard. My website is https://keschstudios.com
Any idea what the problem is?
Thanks!
Hi!
I’ve been trying to get this plugin to work for a while now, but I still don’t see any ‘events’ in G.A. The website is https://easyscantest.com/
Any idea what the problem may be?
Hello and sorry for bothering you again!
I a tutorial, I saw an image where someone had analytics showing:
Baseline
25%
50%
75%
100%
This “baseline” would be very helpful to me! How can I also fire an event if the page is only opened? That would be awesome!
I also saw a screenshot where there were steps of 10 percent:
10
20
30
40
50
etc…
Is this also possible in the wordpress version?
Thanks ever so much, this is all really great!
Andee!
Hi,
this is an awesome plugin. I wonder if it is possible to create a GA conversion that is triggered when a page is scrolled to 75%. Is this possible?
Thank you very much!

Javascript and function call shows in the source. No errors in the console. Universal GA object. Default settings (0, blank, true, true, false, false, false). We do not see any new categories created in Analytics. Real Time traffic is not showing any scrolling (we omit our own testing because of IP filter, but the site is busy enough). Thanks in advance.
Edit: Verified these in console:
GoogleAnalyticsObject
“ga”
typeof(jQuery.scrollDepth)
“function”
As soon as I activated this plugin I got this in the console:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE cs.marinsm.com/mrin
Sure enough, security certificate for this URL uses Perfect Audience domain prfct.co, but I do not have any plugins related to Perfect Audience.
Once the plugin is deactivated the error went away.
Could someone shed any light?
Hello,

Hi there, debating turning the nonInteraction=false because I personally feel that a user who scrolls, for example 50% down your page an spent 60 seconds, is not a bouncer! They are still valuable. But is it possible to set the exact percentage that triggers the “negate a bounce” function? For example, if they only scrolled 25% and left, I’d probably leave that as a bounce. But if I could set the 50% trigger to then negate a bounce, that makes sense. I appreciate any help! Really pumped for this plugin.
Hello,
We have followed the instruction properly and the FAQ, however the event is not firing in GA.
I did noticed however, that when viewing the debugger tool I noticed this message:
This site appears to use a scroll-linked positioning effect. This may not work well with asynchronous panning; see https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Performance/ScrollLinkedEffects for further details and to join the discussion on related tools and features!
How do we address this issue to get the scroll working properly? Thanks for the help!
Hi there,
stupid question (maybe I missed it), but when adding an element to the plugin like “#postend”
How does the plugin know when this element is scrolled into view? So the element needs to be somehow named according the plugin’s instruction in the source code, right? What are the name/code requirements here so the plugin can detect this?
Thanks a lot,
Sebastian
Hi there,
installed the plugin, code added to source correctly, no errors in the debug. But the events are not fired in GA.
We’ve implemented GA tracking via the tag manager. How does the plugin make that connection to our GA account if GA is added via tag manager (as the GA account number is not in the source code…).
Thanks a lot,
Sebastian
Hi, I’m currently trying to implement viritual pageviews by using wp scroll depth and google tag manager. So far i have managed to successfully create virtual pageviews for each section the users scrolles down to, my problem however is that it only fires when people scrolls down to it not when they scrolls up to it. example: when i scrolls down to an section, and then scrolls back up, it still shows the last scrolled section as active, how can i get it to fire a new pageview as i scrolls back into the section?
Hope you can help me:)
Hi there,
I have recently added Scroll Depth to one of my blogs (over 6000 unique visits so there is ample traffic).
But nothing is showing up in Analytics Events/Behaviours
What could I be doing wrong? If I can get it working on this blog I intend on rolling this out to a larger on.
Thanks in Advance,
Martin

Hello,
Since the most recent Chrome update (52.0.2743.82), I receive the console error “Uncaught TypeError: jQuery.scrollDepth is not a function” on the first page load of my site. This is then causing other aspects of the site to not function as expected.
If I refresh the page after the initial page load, the error will go away (this sometimes takes more than one refresh). I will also not receive the error if I open the site in incognito mode.
Any assistance with this is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jesse
Hi!
We successfully installed the plugin. The code is also added on our website and no errors were found in the browser debugger. However, the events do not show up in GA.
According to the project page on GitHub the code should be installed under the GA code. On our website, the GA code is installed at the bottom of the body, while the scroll depth code is in the head area.
Might this cause a problem?
Best regards,
Goran
Hi,
I just installed the WP Scroll Depth plugin and the event shows up in GA.
I am trying determine what the scroll depth is for visits and not sure what the Events report is showing. For example, what does an event value of 1 mean? Does it mean 100%?
When I viewed the event in “Real Time” it showed and event of 25% scroll depth but in the report it’s showing an event value of “1”.
Appreciate your help,
Vito
how can i use this cool plugin with serveral pages? how could i name than?
