I install this plugin on every site I work on. It is so handy to have the ID listed next to the page or post. I don’t understand why this has never become part of the WP base product?
On www.ads-software.com/plugins, there is a warning that this plugin has not been updated in over 2 years. It is working fine in WP 3.8.1. I suggest the author make a note in the plugin comments to recognize this fact, so that the plugin will show some activity. I think it’s a keeper.
Thanks.
]]>Any chance WP Show IDs can be enhanced to show Slug as well?
When hunting for duplicate pages – i.e. pages or posts with identical titles – it would be great to see a page slug column next to the ID column on the Edit Overview screen.
It would help for the problem where a page title has for example a -2 or -3 after it and you’re trying to find the other page with the same name. Often this other page is an old draft or page in the trash. On sites with lots of pages, this can be a pain.

]]>Is there a version that would show the
date-time modified of drafts and published
and then allow sorting by that column.. in the Posts and Pages admin areas. As I curate editors contributions, I need to make some adjustments as Quick Edit. Also, some posts and pages will be updated by co-admins and I need to locate adjust those as well by draft date and publication date.
Thanks for your great work and professional approach.
The ID column is not displayed under “Products” (WPEC).
How can I add it there too? I tried to manually add the
add_filter ("manage_wpsc-product_posts_columns", "c_ws_plugin__wp_show_ids_handlers::return_column", 100, 1);
add_action ("manage_wpsc-product_posts_custom_column", "c_ws_plugin__wp_show_ids_handlers::echo_value", 100, 2);
Is there something else i’m missing?
Thanks,
Ciprian
I like this plugin. It’s simple and effective.
I wonder if you would be open to a feature suggestion?
Currently, when in the Users section of the Admin Panel, the information can be sorted by, Username, Name and Email. What do you think about adding the ability to sort by the ID, your “WP Show IDs” plugin displays? Maybe a way to choose which data is used, as the default, for sorting, could be included with your plugin as well.
Just a thought.

]]>I’ve run into this problem on a couple of plugins – Cumulus was the other one.
Most plugins have a folder structure, after unzipping, that goes folder/folder/nowthesubfoldersandfiles.
Usually WP seems to be fine with this, but occasionally it goes blind.
If you’ve uploaded a plugin and WP isn’t listing it, you need to get read of that main folder so that the directory structure on your server is folder/nowthesubfoldersandfiles.
I ran into the exact same issue with a plugin called Cumulus. In that case and in the case with this plugin, I just needed to move that first subfolder (which is just a duplicate of the top folder, anyway) directly into the plugin folder.
]]>Great plugin! No idea why WordPress doesn’t do this by default, but oh well.
I don’t suppose it’s possible to move the ID column to the left instead of the right?
]]>hi ??
