when I put ”show more”. only show ”show” if i put ”showmore” its shows ”showmore” the problem is the space..

I just noticed that the showhide code was showing in my webpage. I uninstalled the app and re-installed it and still no change. It makes no difference to Deactivate or activate the plugin. It appears to not activate.

I am using following two Shortcodes and for some reason this is not working very well and is showing “” (quotes) with the text, is it because of elementor or new version of WordPress?

I’m in charge of my company’s website and we wanted a “read more” button to show more of our press hits, which is basically just images and links on a page. The plug-in works, but I’m having trouble formatting the button. I’ve tried following the shortcode instructions but I’m not sure where the attributes [align=“center”] are supposed to go in the shortcode (before everything? in the middle? at the end? with brackets? without?), and no matter where I put it it’s resulted in error.

The hidden content that appears in the “show more” is also smaller than the rest of the content on the page, and I want it to match the rest of the page. If anyone can assist it’d help a lot! Thank you.

Just installed the WP show more plugin. It looks good & works great. But a validation error shows for the places I put [show_more more=”read more” less=”read less”]

The HTML error is: No p element in scope but a p end tag seen.

Here is the error that shows in red in the source code: <div class=”show_more”><p class=”wpsm-show” style=”color: #cc0000; font-size: 100%; text-align: left;”> read more</p><div class=”wpsm-content”> </p>

Today I created a new page and used exact the same shortcode like before but show less isn’t working in this page!

I was wondering if it could be possible to make the “show more” link/button not stop the flow of the text. At the moment the button is always in a new line with padding etc. Therefore if I want to use the show more in the middle of a sentence it will look quite weird.

I installed your plugin and cannot figure out how to make it work. On the page where I waned to use it, I placed he following shortcode [show_more more=”Show More” less=”Show Less”] Content [/show_more]. What actually displays is ”Show. I did not list the page where it is because this is a live site and I had to remove it for now.

I really need someone to explain where to put which CSS for my two problems:

1. If i would like the “Show more” to be right after the last sentence of the non-hidden text. I have tried what someone described modifying the theme style.css and the wpsm plugin css but could not get it to work ??

2. if i wan’t a “single” line space after the “Show more” – Now, there is an empty line above and below the show more.

Hi, this came up before.
I have a header Youtube link outside of WP show more and a number of YouTube links inside WP show more.
The links inside are all blurry. Outside link is clear.
Same thing happens if I use ’embed’

This is a great addition to what you can do with pages on WordPress! It is working well on a pc, but when I look at the site on my cellphone (android) nothing changes. It is really for the cellphone that I want to reduce the impact of the surplus text material that my co-volunteers insist on.

When I installed this plugin to use on my page, it worked great except that it modified the parent container by setting a new height. This caused the page to NOT expand automatically, so all of the content that did not fit within the height restriction was cut off (and I could not scroll down to see it, either). Oddly, the only way to fix this was to add new content outside of the </show_more>. Is there a way to make the plug-in not set a new height?
