Does anyone have any copies of the following addons to share with us:
We are currently working a upcoming new fork of this great plugin but need those add ons,so we may study its code for intergration into our new version.Unfortantly,we were not able to secure those. Thanks, first person who can provide us with that will recieve our new version completely FREE,when we are ready to launch.
]]>With the upcoming roku sunset decision, will this plugin stop working is the question. We understand Roku decided to do with away with its directurl links but will not do anything with sdk format, which we do have in place. So once again, dispite this, will the plugin simply stop working or should it work just fine with sdk format in place with roku?
]]>I know support for WP smart plugin will sunset, but I am curious if my feed would still work on Scenegraph. I updated the manifest with the feed that works for DP but get a Cannot Obtain Feed error from Dev mode on Roku
]]>The video works fine on the link and Roku sees and ingests but it does not want to playback curious what might be the problem
]]>The Plugin and Vimeo Add-on seem to be working great. Roku recognizes the JSON feed but I am getting the following error: Required shortFormVideo releaseDate not in ‘YYYY-mm-dd’ format
I have the enable advanced controls on and I have added valid release dates in the default date format, which is the format that Roku is looking for, but it is still giving me this error.
]]>Now that Vimeo is no longer providing support for Roku and it is already failing, does this still work with videos that are hosted at Vimeo?
]]>I have been trying for some time to setup WP smart TV and it has failed. I now have installed an older version of WordPress and let me tell you my setup so you will understand.
I host everything on my synology server. I host WordPress and installed wp smart tv. I do host all my movies and I get a clean link like https://podcast.hopenews.org/Meranda vs Arizona.mp4 that I past into where the movie link goes and setup the title and set key words and all of that and it comes back and at the end I copy the link that is pasted into the Roku site and set the content to mp4 and the Roku site just sits there and does nothing. Do you know what might be the issue?
Also, the steaming addon I would like to know do I need a special service to use that feature or can I self-host that as well? I use OBS and I would assume it will work.
]]>Hi –
This is message for the feed status for over 72 hours:
The service is still processing your feed. Please check back again for updated status.
I am not sure why the feed is not working. Can you help diagnose the issue?
Thank you!
]]>I am receiving this error out of the blue from the ROKU Dashboard.
50 items have error: Duplicate id.
Any ideas?
]]>Hi Rob,
Thank you for creating this awesome WP plugin that makes it very easy for content publishers to manage Content Feed with a nice GUI instead of having to manually update the JSON file.
So I have created the Content Feed(JSON) using WP Smart TV plugin and added two categories of videos. Short-form and Series episodes. I have also enabled the Trickplay file support from WP Smart TV settings. And uploaded all the relevant .BIF files to my WP-Content/Uploads folder for every short-form video as well as Series episodes.
The problem is when you create or update an Episode and attach Trickplay files, it does not get added in the JSON feed inside the Content{} Associative Array. Interestingly, when you update or add a new Video(Short-form) and attach the Trickplay files, WP Smart TV plugin properly updates the JSON with trickPlayFiles[] array. So it seems to me that there is a bug in the plugin when trying to attach Trickplay files to a new Episode or updating existing Episode with Trickplay files. What is interesting is that, the uploaded Trickplay files does shows up on the Episode’s Trickplay section. However the JSON feed is not being updated by the WP Smart TV plugin which seems like a bug?
So I thought for a workaround and downloaded the JSON feed from WP Smart TV settings, and manually added trickPlayFiles[] array with relevant values and then import that modified JSON from WP Smart TV settings. Interestingly, the WP Smart TV imports all the short-form videos and series episodes preserving all the fields and values in the JSON. But it leaves out all the trickPlayFiles[] field and does not import it for either Short-form Videos or Episodes which is a second bug.
Can you please fix and provide a resolution for these as I am trying to add BIF files for full Episodes which is compulsory to pass Certification testing for SDK channel in order to publish on Channel Store.
I encountered these bugs on WP Smart TV Version 2.1.8 installed on WordPress 6.0.3
Thanks!
]]>This Roku Feed has been working fine and th4e Service provider Blue Host added to whitelist but Roku is still complaining. Please help I love WP Smart TV Plugin but this is sucking
]]>Hi, I created the video but I can’t see it, am I setting the wrong Vimeo address, how do I get the correct one? Thank you.
]]>I’ve installed this on two different WordPress systems. I’ve tried multiple versions of WordPress. I’ve installed, Uninstalled. Nothing I do will create this link. I had to manually create the folders and add the appropriate security just to see the link, but still, nothing is implemented in the feed.
So basically this won’t work.
]]>We have been using this plugin for many years. Awesome stuff. it went down a year or so ago but we keep on with it.
Recently the feed in ROKU has been giving us this response:
Unable to download from feedUrl.: Response code other than 200 from https://rokuadmin.digitaltexas.com/wp-json/tv/roku/?key=fWpCxXQzTAMtHG0r for 557653.pending.en: 406 Not Acceptable: 557653.pending.en
With a really weird date. I have tried to access support on the rovidx.com site but it does not come up.
Any idea how we can fix this? Thank you so much!
]]>Good Day everyone, the ticketing support was giving an server error when I tried to submit this inquiry. I hope all is well.
I have updated to the latest plugin version to remedy the issue.
FIXED: Issue with the date on Roku Direct Publisher. Now shows in ISO 8601 format.
Unfortunately I am still getting the following on my roku feed status:
Unable to download from feedUrl.: Response code other than 200 from https://aprtv.live/wp-json/tv/roku/ for 579395.pending.en: 406 Not Acceptable: 579395.pending.en
12/31/1969 06:00PM
I checked my direct feed URL which is: https://aprtv.live/wp-json/tv/roku/ and I see a new “releaseDate”:”1970-01-01″ listing… Is this the issue that was resolved or do I have something different? I reached out to Roku and received the following response:
“Please review your feed as it shows some incompatibility and errors. We recommend working with your feed provider to format the feed properly. “
]]>I am excited to see the latest update. I see in the tutorial that we are selecting the SDK when previously it is for Direct Publisher. I just want to confirm that we are now working with SDKs and is this also true for Amazon Fire or just Roku?
]]>This is the error message. Response code other than 200 from https://ottawasowntv.com/wp-json/tv/roku/ for 640509. pending.en: 406 Not Acceptable: 640509.pending.en

Having an issue with updating my new content. Everything was working great until last week my new content wasn’t updating to my Roku Channel. When I click update it doesn’t show the days date and when I go and change it, it’s not applying to my channel. My Json link is correct and my Roku Developer account shows that everything is working great. Please help with this because I have a big project release coming up soon.
]]>Hi. I received an email months ago saying the plugins were going to be discontinued. Are they still available from my previous purchase and can I still use them? Please let me know what is the current status.
I had stopped using the plugins after I received that email in November 2020. I replied at the time requesting a refund and never received a reply.
I would love to be able to start using your plugin again to start a Roku and Fire TV channel if it still works.
]]>Hello, I am attempting to create a webpage on word press and learning to use the WP Smart TV plugin. Some questions I have are:
Is there a step by step tutorial?
Is there a guide to which word press theme works best.
Hi I can’t figure what and where I need to modify to get thing working. This is the only error remaining before I can go online.
]]>How do I import new videos from vimeo without duplicating existing ones?
]]>I read in a newsletter from ROVIDX that this plugin is no longer being supported. If that is the case, are there any alternatives that you would suggest?
]]>I have just successfully launched my first Roku channel with WP Smart TV plugin! Yahoo! It was fairly easy and I am so excited I want to build more. Can someone clarify for me if I need a separate WP build for each channel? Based on the plugin preferences for WP Smart TV, it would seem I do — there is no alternate menu set for a separate channel? At least not that I have found.
If someone is clever enough to answer this question, and the answer is YES you do need a separate WP build, can you also tell me if it’s possible to have two or more WP builds on one domain? Just using subdirectories? I feel like that would be the easiest workaround.
THanks!
]]>HELLO
These are the error I am getting from the feed from roku.
1 item has an error: Required content duration missing or invalid. Duration must be greater than 0.
2 items have error: Required movie title is missing.
1 item has an error: Required movie genres is missing or invalid.
1 item has an error: Required video url is missing.
All of this criteria is imported why is it saying this?
]]>I’ve this plugin already installed and looks that works.
But there are some messy with the Feed.
Every video that I removed and tested, the feed looks that still showing this.
This make me upload the wrong videos.
So, how I edit the Jason file. Because I tried to download and import, but after that the videos are adding, not replacing…
Please let me know where is the file thanks
I was using the plugin and it was working…but it broke some features on my wordpress theme with the Custom Post Types.
Is there any way that this plugin could be added as a custom field to posts instead of creating new custom post types?
The theme I am attempting to incorporate it with is videoflix.cactusthemes.com and it is breaking the “series” features on the theme.
I have followed the tutorial from official website.
I have added in video under my movies tab. But it doesn’t show the player on post.
No warnings or errors either.
I’m building (staging) a WP site, and I want to move my WP Smart TV videos and metadata to another WP Site. To be clear, none of the media is hosted on WP, just the metadata.
Source: WP 5.4.1, WP Smart TV 1.8
Destination WP 5.4.1, WP Smart TV 2.0.14 (also tried with 1.8)
Using the built in WP Tools – Export. XML is generated.
When I import this XML into the new site (again, via WP Tools), the importer generates an error:
Failed to import “[WPSmartTVVideoNamename]”: Invalid post type videos
Failed to import “[WPSmartTVVideoNamename]”: Invalid post type videos
Failed to import “[WPSmartTVVideoNamename]”: Invalid post type videos
What needs to be done to move everything over?
