Hello, my client sells antique furniture and they would like the ability to search by measurement. Often times they use the ” character. I realize why that’s tricky for a search plugin, but just thought I would enquire.
]]>I created a custom admin bar (white label), so nobody can use it, but I could add it as a shortcode to the custom admin bar.
Thanks
The plugin basically works fine, but not for ACF fields (post meta) used in WooCommerce products. We are using ACF fields for products (Woo) and the plugin does not return any entries when searching for strings that are only present in the ACF fields – although we did check the boxes for products and post meta in the settings of the plugin.
Does post meta search need to be extended for WooCommerce products?
Hi, this search seems to be a good potential to search users but it doesnt allow you to search by their registered first name or surname but only their given username? Bit limited isnt it? Surely must be an easy way to just search names too and not just their wordpress assigned usernames?
Next issue is it doesnt seem to pick up any woocommerce orders to search from?
Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks
]]>Hi, it seems that if for example you have a post called “Product Tags” and you search for “Tags” no result will come up unless you search for “Product”, is there something to do about this?
Thank you!
]]>Hi, is it possible to disable search results generated by certain plugins and comments? For example, I currently see results from YoastSEO and results from comments and don’t see an option to disable it.
Please advise, thank you
]]>Hi, when I search in the toolbar on a frontend page (non-wp dashboard page) the search doesn’t work. nothing comes up.
Please advise, thank you
]]>Great plugin, but for some reason, when it’s activated, I’m unable to toggle open the settings in myCred. When I click on the settings accordion, they won’t open at all. I have to temporarily deactivate the plugin
]]>I use the Light Admin Theme, and in this theme, the search bar looks off: https://imgur.com/a/BtQGe6a
It’s too high up the admin bar, and the rounded borders are out of place. I want to override it with my own CSS, but it turns out you use inline !important styles, making it impossible to override. How do I go about this?
]]>There is a constant error notice for undefined variable $admin_is_parent in line 319 of /includes/core.php.
I don’t know if you guys should remove it from your logic or assign it to true or false.
Hope this gets resolved.
Thanks
]]>First off, LOVE THIS PLUGIN. Such a time saver, and I’ve been able to hide a lot of my menu items knowing I can access them easily through WP Spotlight ?? And I’m so happy it’s actually being maintained regularly.
However, I’m having issues with some search results. The plugin lists a settings page/main page for the searched plugin, but upon clicking, it seems to use the incorrect URL. I’ve had to manually go into my Menu Editor plugin to view the correct URL, and manually copy/paste it in the browser.
Today, it happened with the Redirection plugin. It’s also happened with Menu Editor Pro, so I made a short video on Loom to demonstrate the issue.

Could you please fix this in the next update? Thanks again for everything you do!
]]>Hello,
First of all: this is a wonderful plugin, it completely changed my / our way of working in WP dashboard. Everything is much faster accessible through WP Spotlight Search. I almost can’t imagine going back working without it anymore. So many thanks for this plugin!
We’ve found one issue though, that’s when we have the Spotlight Search plugin active and go to Appearance -> Customizer, the page load gets stuck. With the browser console / developer’s tools open there’s also an error showing:
init.js?ver=5.4.1:4 Uncaught ReferenceError: wp_spotlight_full_menu is not defined
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (init.js?ver=5.4.1:4)
at i (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=5.4.1:2)
at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=5.4.1:2)
at Function.ready (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=5.4.1:2)
at HTMLDocument.J (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=5.4.1:2)
Looking at this error, it’s very likely the page load breaks on loading (the error in) this part of the script, which causes the Customizer not loading at all anymore.
Hopefully it can be fixed!
