I used this plugin during the winter, it is very interesting for its use: it allows to upload new images, and to change many parameters (number and speed of flakes). The result is really pretty.
In addition, with the conditional tags, you can choose on which type of content the flakes fall, eg on a specific page, or just on front-page.
It worked very well under WP 4.9. Please, keep this plugin in shape!

We love this plugin but we have had complaints that it is ironically freezing the website when turned on. So we have had to turn it off this year. As it hasn’t been updated in over a year I can only assume it has been abandoned and is not compatible with WordPress anymore.

We tried this plugin out a year ago and it still works wonderfully. It’s very customizable (right down to the images of the snowflakes) and lightweight. We checked PageSpeed Insights before and after with 100 snowflakes and transparency effects turned ON, and it didn’t slow us down at all. Pingdom and Webpagetest.org also showed negligible reductions in loading speed.

What a wonderful effect. I suggest you add an #id to your page you want the effect on and use that in the settings so that it only displays on certain pages. Overall the effect and options are wonderful ??

I was looking for a snow effekt that would be better visible than the jetpack integrated one. WP Super Snow does a fine job, but a diable button for the viewers would be nice.

This is a very nice plugin, it looks great.
But, if you keep default settings, the snow is really too big, if you want to do something discret it’s not good.
And if you set the snow size lower, it’ll fall too quickly and look weird.
With a few more options, like make snow falling only on the background and not on the center, or set lower size without making the snow falling too quickly, it’ll be an amazing plugin.
5 stars because it has not been downloaded enough, in regard of the quality.

The best of snowfall plugins!
I tried almost everyone available and they all gave me headache!
I wanted the snow to fall infront of the header/image/slider, which most of the “older” plugins couldn’t achive. This one can do that, plus a lot of other functions.Very very easy to understand and do changes, so it fit everyones need.
I wanted just flakes and the snow should fall down very slowly. So I took away the snowballs and did the other settings I needed! Another fantastic function is that you can preview the settings. I’m swedish, so perheps the languages became “swenglish”!
