I have install this plugin, now must i install an other plugin.

“Click here to download the modification package.” This package does exist any more.

I get the mesage “It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?”

Perfect plugin to bridge WP and phpBB. Plugin creates a seamless transition from WP to phpBB. It took a bit to find automod and WP-United-phpBB module required for the plugin to work. This mod works just like it says, the only thing I ran into was some styling issues on theme integration.

Before you integrate themes make sure you have the CSS slider all the way off to the left.

I’m giving this plugin 3 stars for lack of support and they took off the link to the phpbb automod package which is REQUIRED for this mod to work.

Tried the mod.
Could not get it to work.
No support.
Look at dates… it’s clear the developer has abandoned this mod.

I am going to re-do my site and get rid of this, it changed too many configuration files and i want a clean install with no WP-United residue.

WOULD BE INTERESTED IN WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE MIGRATING TO.

Work nice with phpbb 3.0.13 & wordpress 4.1 thank’s for the plugin, but one option no work it’s when an user subscrib with phpbb he doesn’t create profil in wordpress. I desiable the sign in in phpbb ??

3 month later Edit: this plugin have too many error ?? wordpress to phpbb user integration working very well i was try only this one when i download. But i get chance and try to use all function of this plugin in 3mnths and i see too many error, bug..
– phpbb to wordpress user integration dont work
– all sync have little or big bug/error
– when active this plugin user integration and sync profil have logout error php and wp + active this plugin than 2 week later like fake and spam user join phpbb like WPU1231 nickname whats that, whats for? (when deactive plugin no any problem like this..)

– too many phpbb-wordpress profile field error and cant work other ftr.. and have too many error but thats useful only; if want to use only move ur wp user to php sql..

The is the example of what an integration module should do and provides all the features. Worked great right out of the box for us. I would like to see a little better on the theme integration like being able to force a fixed header. also be able to show the wp dashbaord menu. other wise works great.

I am using is as PHPBB inside WordPress.

This is an excellent plugin!

Since there aren’t that many actively supported MODs for phpBB, I have to do certain things through WordPress such as adding a calendar with the possibility for users to add their events.

Thankfully this plugin lets me synchronise phpBB accounts with WordPress so that users that register on my forum can make use of the aforementioned WordPress features without having to make a separate account for that.

I hope you will continue to update and support this plugin as this is a must-have for any decent site built on WordPress with a phpBB forum! ??

Every time you try to change a setting, you have to re-set your phpbb3 installation path. In addition, many of the features don’t work. Also, a lot of code blocks were never closed, leaving compatibility issues with other themes, plugins, or widgets

Concept of WP-United is great. It also worked ALMOST well out of the box, but needed some customizing both PHPbb and WordPress side before I could go live with it. I also used separate templating on phpBB and WP to avoid problems.

After using WP-United for over 6 months on our live phpBB3 & WP website I can’t recommend WP-United to anyone for live usage. The plugin is actually ABANDONED as there is no response on developer website or at support forums.

If you’re not good yourself in modifying and updating phpBB3 and WP codewise, it’s just too risky to use this plugin.

Very nicely done work. As a developer with experience I would say that this is quite complicated implementation. It is not easy to integrate phpBB forum into WordPress template. Unfortunately not a lot of people understand the level of complexity. They do not understand the fact that website is hard work and expecting to have everything for granted.
jhong thank you for this plugin. I successfully implemented it on our website https://wpaam.com. Works great with minor issues which I hope you’ll help me to resolve. But this is another conversation.
Keep working on it and think about payed either version or support.

I love this plugin so much, it really helps me connect wordpress to phpBB and vice-versa.

One thing I am having problems with is the dragging the “strings” in the User Mapping options, they seem to get stuck in Chrome but I am going to try some other browsers and see if that improves anything.

Not worth the risk for me. The wp-united support forum is still there but littered with spam posts which is all that gets posted there. My question posted months ago still lies unanswered except for a spam post or two.

I’d give this zero if I could. When it works it only just works, with errors, however it totally broke my WordPress install and left me with a dead forum and blank screen.

The plugin is utterly awful; use it and expect your site to fail. Tried it with WordPress 3.6.1 and phpBB 3.0.11 as was the last versions it worked on (after researching on their site, etc).

As said, when it did work, it made the forum look bad; deactivated it and it not only tried to kill my forum (didn’t quite, got it back), but did kill my WordPress install.

My recommendation – avoid. Use “iframe preserver”, it embeds an iframe and works well. Not a perfect solution but it works.

For what this plugin does it is really user friendly all you need to do is read.I had it setup , looking great , custom & work in about two hours.

I started using this plugin several WordPress updates ago to integrate my WordPress and phpBB3 forum users and although I am grateful to the author for all the work he’s put into it, a non-working product is a non-working product and this plugin has never performed for me.

I finally got it to integrate the users, but that is the only function I could ever get working properly and never received support on the other issues. I am currently evaluating moving my forums to a bbPress and Buddy Press system instead, where I can also use plugins to allow my users to sign in using FaceBook and other social networks, which clash with this plugin and so cannot be used.

I’m rating as a developer who has been working on the code in this plugin. It is one of the best coded plugins I’ve found on WordPress. A wider use of PHP functions and more innovative procedures than many premium plugins that exist.

I can see a secure and safe plugin. That matters a lot in a plugin of this nature but despite this it is often less considered by many WordPress users. Even if there are bugs in this plugin, it is still one of or possibly the best place to start with WP phpBB integration.

I’ll be adapting some functions for our own WP e-Customers plugin which has a modular/section approach. I looked at all bridge plugins through research as WP e-Customers is to have WP to phpBB (not phpBB to WP) functionality. So we’re not making a rival but a different tool catering to a different approach. I’ve already mentioned WP United in my source comments.

Updated March 2016: The plugin continues to work with the latest version of WordPress but I haven’t tried it with phpBB 3.1.x to date. That’s the next experiement. Unfortunately, the developer’s website is down and the plugin/mod seem to be abandoned. At least my client’s site has time to explore a new option before this one dies altogether. Too bad – it was a great solution for integrating phpBB into WordPress as my project required.

Very straightforward step-by-step instructions and it does what it says. I have a client whose 10-year-old phpBB forum could NOT be imported into any other system compatible with WordPress and dude wanted to keep EVERY. SINGLE. POST. WP United made it easy to integrate subscribers/paid users between the WP site and phpBB. Once it’s working, set it and forget it.

A couple of caveats:
1) This integration is NOT for WordPress or PHP beginners. Not because of the plugin or because of WP, but because phpBB itself is not for beginners when it comes to adding MODs. You have to be able to follow directions in editing PHP code when using phpBB. There’s no way around it.

2) This plugin works best with very sleek, minimal themes (if you’re going for full theme integration.) The aforementioned client has a graphics-heavy theme with e-commerce, paid member management, and other special features out the wazzoo. So I turned off theme integration and it works beautifully to post elements of the phpBB forum in WordPress and integrate users.

Again, you have to know how to follow directions and edit code and upload individual files to make the plugin work in your system. If you’re using phpBB, you should already have this skill.

It installed fine and looks to be working ok if you use a basic theme for phpBB. I tried using a theme from RocketTheme that requires it’s own RokBB module and it breaks the theme integration with fetal errors, but it will still work if you disable theme integration.

The project looks promising, but for some reason, the author seems to have decided to abandon it. It looks like it had great potential.

Ok, so, I used to use this back on an older website of mine, that I stopped using… Now,I am trying to install this on my new website ()… I use AutoMod in PHPbb, and install the right mod, yet it gives me an error, and says that it couldn’t find:

Find
