Hi,
I have been using User Post Gallery plugin successfully for three years on our WordPress site. I suddenly discovered that the image pages have stopped showing the description entered by the photographer. I didn’t make any setup changes so I don’t know how this happened.
Could you please advise how the description can be restored?
The comments line is vital for our purposes, it describes the subject and is also used to show the photographer’s name.
Version: UPG-2.19

After seeing the note on the plugin page I have removed the plugin from my site but wanted to ask two things:
Thank you
Tamsin
How do I enable the user to delete photos from their gallery? I’ve used this short code [upg-list user=”show_mine”] which I saw on a support post asking the same question but it didn’t show any images at all and no ability to delete photos that I had already uploaded.
Hi,
Working on a website and client used your plugin on a previous version. Now I need to convert it in a Beaver Theme with Beaver builder, but page navigation is not showing, on a pages where some images should be. He used Vega theme.
Here is the shortcode [upg-list perrow=”3″ perpage=”15″ orderby=”date” page=”on” layout=”basic” popup=”off” album=”pets” button=”on” ].
Thanks in advance.
hello,
To allow user to upload picture, I have the upg-form on a post.
But I wish to set the album selection in order the user don’t make mistakes will uploading (and it will be also faster as many albums are presents)
So currently, I have something like that
[upg-form-tag type=”post_title” title=”Légende” value=”” placeholder=”Légende”]
[upg-form-tag type=”category” title=”Sélectionner la sortie:” taxonomy=”upg_cate” filter=”image”]
[upg-form-tag type=”file” title=”Selectionner fichier”]
[upg-form-tag type=”submit” name=”submit” value=”Envoyer”]
[/upg-form]
My point, is how to remove the album selection field and set it by to a fixed value ?
can I insert something like

?
thx for your support
I have installed UPG and have some questions.
I would like to create Galleries with Sub-Galleries. For example, school sporting events. Baseball, Football, Basketball, Whateverball. I’d like to have sub-galleries which would be dates of match-ups for these sports. I’m not really doing school sport but you should get the idea from the supplied example.
Is this something that is possible with UPG? Or should I belooking at some other gallery plug-in?
Is there an option to allow a login user that has upload or posted a photo/video to delete or edit the photo.
example:
1.) user “A” will login
2.) user “A” uploads a photo
3.) user “A” wants to delete the photo they uploaded
Is there any options for what’s described above.
Also is there any option to only allow the users to only see there uploads
Hi,
Ultimate-Member not working instead of user/username I’m getting redirected to id=7 members /username which not existing page
I want to change default 10 entries in filter layout can you please guide me on this.
Ivory search plugin CAN find anything posted by UPG e.g. title, description etc
but it cannot find upg_custom_field_1
I am using upg_custom_field_1 as photo owner (nickname)
upg_custom_field_1 is working fine but Ivory search return 0 results when I search by nickname.
Default click photo gallery -> light box (enabled)
Yes, I know can disable -> click go to UPG post (where user can leave comments)
E.g. https://wp.example.com/upg/cute
Question – where can I extract the URL (https://wp.example.com/upg/cute) ???
I know PHP and I am using upg_get_value(‘upg_custom_field_1’) in personal layout to display value of “upg_custom_field_1”
Is there similar PHP function to obtain the URL ???
Thanks

Default personal layout – good for PC screen (like Pinterest) big and nice image.
but stacked 1 photo per row in 1 column on mobile.
Default photo layout – I would prefer this on mobile as can see more photos in a glance.
Qn) how to let mobile use photo layout and non-mobile on personal layout?
The upload form has both description and tag field.
I want to know if I remove the tag field, then can public search by description.
Is there any settings backend that can change to search by tag to description?

I want to introduce CSS eg, margin: 10px 5px 10px 5px
for each image
How to do? because under fancy-box

Thanks.
I have just installed UPG 2.19 on WP 5.8.2. Attempting to upload an image from the Post Image page, no matter how small, fails with “Internal Server Error” after the uploading progress bar reaches 100% and the processing progress bar is somewhere around 30%. WP’s error_log shows nothing.
Hi, is it possible to change the path in which the files are saved?
Right now, every file is saved diretly in the “/uploads” folder”. I would like to change this so that all files are saved in a folder “uploads/galleries”.
Using UPG Pro.. when redirect is enabled user gets the following error when posting an image:
“Error: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”.
Preview of the request in devtools:
{“error”:false,”msg”:”
Successfully posted.<\/div>”,”srv_msg”:”Image found “,”type”:”success”}
And the response:
{“error”:false,”msg”:”
Successfully posted.<\/div>”,”srv_msg”:”Image found “,”type”:”success”}
When attempting to upload an image from my iPhone by selecting “Choose File” then “Take Photo”, the “Uploading” progress bar gets to 100% with no problems. However, the “Processing” progress bar lags, gets to around 97%, then gives me an Error message with no further information.
If I choose a photo on my phone taken with some other app and upload that one, the upload process works fine.
I’ve done some testing and it appears the issue is either the file type when uploading (.heif images) or the file size.
I can get iPhone images to upload if I change the camera settings to save in jpeg, but only if I change the file size after selecting the image to something smaller than the original (2.9 MB)
Maybe the issue is strictly a file size problem, but it would be more user friendly if guests wouldn’t have to change their camera settings to upload images to the galleries.
I’m testing out UPG for a small site. The main use will be for registered users to upload pictures to a common album so that everyone can see/download them.
I’ve got a post that has the code [upg-list album=”photos”] which correctly displays the photos that have been uploaded (the upload form forces all uploaded photos into that album.
At the top is the link to upload a photo (“Post Image”) which also works correctly. But immediately to the right of the “Post Image” link is another link that says “Photo” which I’d like to hide. I believe this link is supposed to go to the user’s personal album or to photos they’ve uploaded, but I don’t want/need that since there’s only supposed to be one album.
Advice?
just alerting you, went to get my purchase and saw its just temporarily down.
wanted to alert you in case you didn’t see it.
No probl
https://odude.com/upg-user-post-gallery/
need my plugin though so I can work with it
I see you’re well integrated with the ultimate member plugin. The problem for me is that I use the pro version of wpeverest’s User Registration plugin.
Do you feel I would be setting myself up for failure by planning on continue to use wpeverest’s registration plugin if I go with your free or paid options?
My end goal is to provide to each person in a select community (a group of business owners) a public profile page where they can post content (photos with the option to add info to them like prices).
An overall “feed” of new photos provided by those approved users would also be my main goal.
Hoping for some guidance. Thank you!
Does this plugin have the ability to restrict visitors from right clicking and downloading the images in any way?
I have purchased and install the pro version of UPG, but I’m getting an error message on my post page that says…
Multiple upload is only available in UPG-PRO
Can you help. I need the multiple post to work, it’s the only reason I brought the pro version.
I have both UPG PRO and User Post Gallery installed and activated.
Thank you.
Hi there,
We use the Pro version of your plugin.
Whenever someone uploads a photo, the same photo appears multiple times in the Gallery (2-3 times!), so then we have to waste our time deleting all the duplicates! Can you please help solve this issue?

Hello,
We are à dive club.
I create an album per post (a post is a dive trip)
I wish user to upload their photo in the album i have created for the trip.
Here is my shortcode
[upg-list perrow=”5″ perpage=”20″ album=”PalaFrugel2021″ popup=”on” ]
But when upload pictural, the user can still choose another album.
How can i remove the choice of the album to use (it shall be only the one in the shortcode).
On General Settings, there is an option to select a login Page to which users are redirected when login=true for upg-post.
My site uses the default WP login, and it is not listed in the options to select from, nor have I found a way to specify a login URL.
Does your plugin allow me to create a Page for logging in, perhaps with a shortcode? Or is there something I’m missing?
Hello,
Camera information does not work in version 2.18 as in 2.17.
Was something changed ?
Thnx,

I’m testing the UPG and after confirming the upload of an image in the forms using “Basic layout” or “Shop layout”, the form is reloaded and shows the error message “Invalid file”.
Looking at the media library, the JPG image was uploaded, as well as the corresponding post-upg created.
How can I fix this? Below I’m uploading the source code of the “Basic Layout” which hasn’t been modified (it’s the default file of the package I downloaded from your website).
