Hi,
i saw that sending a verification link via email at the time of registration is implemented only in the pro version.
With this free version, how do they check the registrations?

My site currently uses MailPoet, and I have a different membership plugin installed that works with this plugin.
I need to switch to a different membership plugin such as WP User Manager, but keep MailPoet.
Does WP User Manager work with MailPoet?
If so, can I use the free version, or is a paid version required?
Your response is appreciated.

I installed this plugin and tested it as an admin and as a test user I registered as an author. On the frontend, as an admin, I was able to use WP User Manager to change my nickname and then set the “set display name to” the nickname I created.
However, when I tried the same thing as an author, I could not change the nickname. After I changed it and clicked on “Update Profile”, the name does not change even though a message says “Profile successfully updated.”. It only changes if I log out and log back in, or if I attempt to change it on the WordPress backend profile area.
Can you help?
]]>Hello,
I have removed the ability to add cover images in the settings of this plugin so users cannot upload cover images. However, instead of removing the cover image location all together, there is still a grey placeholder there, so it ends up looking like this: https://prnt.sc/EdVqnWLLhkrU
Is there a way to get rid of the grey placeholder, or is this a theme-specific thing?
Thank you

WP User Manager Version 2.9.10

]]>This plugin is now causing a “[18-May-2024 10:45:39 UTC] file does not exists” error over and over again in my error log. Unfortunately, it give zero information. Just, file does not exists. The good news is, saying “exists,” plural, isn’t the norm and so you should be able to find the file.
The only reason I think it is this plugin even though the error code doesn’t tell me is because I deactivated all of my plugins and reactivated one by one.
All of them do this. When I am on any of the pages in my site. And I want to edit something. I go up to the top of the page and click on the “Edit Page” link. The site takes me to the WP User posting page.
The system takes me here.
So I have to go to the page in the directory and click directly on the Edit Page button to be able to edit ANY page in the site.
PLEASE understand that I do not work with this blocks thing. If you have a fix for this please explain step by step how to fix. I am horribly litteral and know NOTHING… Do not use terms like “simply” or “Easy” or “All you have to do” or JUST….. The moment you say something like that I know I am doomed. Meanwhile I will go back to taking 6 different steps to edit pages to work around this issue.
Thank you.

]]>Hi guys,
is a community in the Netherlands for ambitious entrepreneurs ;-). we are using the plugin WP User Manager for generating ‘abbonnees’ as users so they have their own profile.
Since this data of users is very important for our communication and marketing i want this list of ‘users’ to be exported every x days or every night to an excel.
Is there a way to do this? I have knowledge of Power Automate and would be great if we could use this tool for getting our data out of our website!
]]>Hello,
I’m wondering if a plugin author could review the following thread related to this plugin and an SQLite Object Cache plugin. I’m trying to find a way to still use the Object Cache plugin, but also ensure profile fields are not cached. Currently, profile fields are cached on the front end. My only solution so far is to empty the Object Cache. I haven’t found a way to ensure profile meta is ignored. The Object Cache plugin author suggested there could be a bug in this user manager plugin. That’s why I’m posting here and asking for help.

Hi there,
I have found that WP User Manager replaces the WooCommerce emails sent to a new user after registration.
At the same time, if you disable sending emails in the WPUM settings, no emails are sent.
Disabling the plugin completely helps – WooCommerce starts working correctly.
I don’t want to stop using WPUM, but how can I solve this problem?
Thank you
Maria
Resolved. Object Cache needed to be emptied.
I have the custom fields addon. I have it set publicly and I have it added to the registration form (which I would prefer to not do but I thought that might be required). No matter what I do, the new field will not show when I go to edit my account. No errors in the developer console. Are there any known issues? Or, is manual template editing required?
]]>I use Gravity Forms for user registration, but WP User Manager is resetting the password entered by the user in the form. The user receives a randomly created password in the WPUM registration email. I have checked the ‘disable strong password validation box’ but that doesn’t help. If I disable the WPUM plugin, the password entered by the user is working.

Hi,
We have properly linked our ‘Password Recovery Page’ URL, but it’s not working. The URL doesn’t match the one for the page we’ve created. How can we resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I hope all is well and I was wondering if someone can help us out.
We are using the WP User Manager to restrict content on our website. We would like to tweak the content restriction message which states:
“This content is available to members only. Please?login?or?register?to view this area.”
We would like to remove the register part of the message as we are treating this as a login restriction only so the new tweak message would say:
“This content is available to members only. Please login to view this area.”
Unfortunately, I can’t see any setting on the plugin which allows me to do this.
Does anyone have any ideas how to achieve this?
Does anyone have a function I can use to override the message?
Can this be done via CSS or jQuery?
Thanks
Hi,
my webhoster pushed me to update vom php8.0 to 8.1. WPUM version: 2.9.8
After the update I got this deprecated message, so had to roll back.

Any idea?
I’m having issues getting the user verification settings working as we want. What we want is for users to be automatically verified after registering. That is, they can immediately log in after registering.
The current settings:
User Verification -> Email Verification
Default Registration Form -> Login After Registration set to automatically authentic users after registration
What is happening the registration email is being sent as expected. But when the user attempts to log in, they are told “We have sent you a verification email. Please verify your account first”.
What am I missing?
Thanks!!!!
]]>Allow access to the ‘Register page’ for site registration despite the site being locked – within ‘settings’, is checked, but not working!
I have 5 other sites, on different servers with this same problem, and even with all other plugins disabled, I’m still getting the same fault.
The only way I was able to fix this, was to rollback to v2.7.2
Any ideas?
