I’m using this on a site I’m developing that will have a “feminine style” and a “masculine style”. The site is in development so I didn’t want to replace the default style.css as that would mean updating two stylesheets (ugh!). Because the style switcher is loaded in the header after the main stylesheet, this is what I did to cut down work …
In the plugin I identified the default stylesheet as “Feminine Style” and entered a fake stylesheet name so it would never get replaced. I then created a real “Masculine Style” and entered it’s correct stylesheet name.
This way the masculine overrides just the feminine styles I add to it to change ?? It works great.

Couldn’t get this to work so I left a message for the author who got back to me within a few hours to explain that the icon files aren’t really optional if you select list_type=”icon”. Problem solved.

Does what I needed and as far as I can tell, works fine with WP 4.5!

Works well, sometimes there is only part of custom CSS loaded (for example sometimes background color and color of some types of text is changing, but links not). But most of the time it works well.

Really nice little plugin, easily lets you switch stylesheet on the frontend without having to build a custom interface.
Highly recommended, best solution I’ve found.

The plugin works awesome, but when it is enable the deTube theme responsive design dont work. I have not tested it in other responsive themes so not sure if only the deTube theme that cause it.

This plugin works really well. In my case, I wanted to hide or show programming code samples based on the stylesheet selected for the site (e.g., showing Java versus C++ versus .NET samples). This plugin remembers the user’s selection across the site, so once a user chooses a certain option, that stylesheet can kick in site-wide.
I think it has a lot more applications than merely changing the look of the site. For technical content, you can customize what the user sees in a more seamless way.

This plugin was proven to be very useful on the website I am currently developping.
I needed to offer the visitor the ability to switch stylesheets for accessibility purposes (bigger text, white letters on black background for more contrast, disabling stylesheet) and the plugin saved me hours of coding, while it is W3C compliant.
Moreover, I have to mention that its developer, Stéphane Groleau, is quite friendly and reactive and he improved very quickly the plugin after I reported him troubles and needs.

This plugin solved a lot of problems. It worked exactly as advertised, both as a widget, and as a shortcode. I used it to offer different contrast settings for the visually impaired.
Documentation was brief, but sufficient. Very nice work!

When adding the php snippet into my template, there is no page output for anything after the php snippet.

I’ve had a good experience with this plugin. My client needed a way to demo a bunch of different colors of websites to his potential clients. This plugin allowed me to very easily offer that capability.
One small bug – on the frontend, try switching to any of the stylesheets not in the first 5 added and it will revert to the default stylesheet. A quick fix in the plugin code (remove || ($stylesheet_choice > 4) from line 37 of wp_user_stylesheet_switcher.php).

This plugin is simple and effective. It works well, although it is not intended to work for the backend (it is presented as a frontend widget) it does work when you set the standard CSS file in the backend.
My business case requires me to set a dropdown list where a normal ‘editor’ user can select a stylesheet for his/her website.
Since this plugin only works when logged in as an admin, that feature could be nice for a later version.
