Hi I can see other users have asked simillar questions but not worded them in a way that is helpful.
This has solved an interface problem for me but I wanted to confirm the following. It would be good to add some of these clarifications to the plugin description.
Hi there hope your well,
Just installed this plugin and configured to hide the sidebar on all pages and just keep it for posts however it doesn’t seem to apply.
I have cleared cache both onsite and at the CDN level but unfortunately the setting doesn’t appear to take effect.
Here’s an example page which shouldn’t show the sidebar
Wondering if I can get some help please
Thank you
]]>Hi! Originally I’d like to disable the Sidearea widget and don’t want the burger menu on the main menu bar.
After installing the plugin, select every option and save changes, my website looks weird, since the menu bar is not supposed to be this low overlap with header slider images and there’re some blogpost archives appear on the left, which I don’t want to.
So I’ve tried to uncheck every option and save changes again. Nothing happens, that weird display is still there.
I went directly to the WordPress Widget menu and delete Sidebar widget content manually via WordPress Blog editor but the same problem still occurs.
Ps. This is a screenshot of that weird display

Hello, does this plugin do anything to speed up the back end of WordPress (i.e. the WordPress dashboard)?
Does it have to add resources in order to unload these widgets, which would then make the time savings inefficient?
If the above is true, then is this plugin just for cleaning up the interface?
Just curious. Thank you.
]]>Is it possible to disable widgets by user role? For example, Admins see one thing, Editors see another, Authors another, etc.
The use case is that I have custom roles and include custom widgets that contain welcome messages and certain instructions. Depending on who they are, I’d then like to disable other widgets just for them while still keeping them for other roles.
]]>Just wondering,
Does this just hide the widgets from the panel or actually erase them?
Is it possible to completely erase widgets?

Hi,
The plugin is not working for me. On Settings, it shows the message:
Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/oncohope/public_html/new/wp-content/plugins/wp-widget-disable/classes/class-wp-widget-disable.php on line 109
How can I fix it?
Cheers,
M
When I try to activate this plug-in, I get the message:
“The “WP Widget Disable” plugin cannot run on PHP versions older than 5.3. Please contact your host and ask them to upgrade.” and then the plug-in doesn’t activate.
However, my server is running PHP 5.4.24 (Bluehost)
Anyway looks like a real cool plug-in that I would sure like to try out.
]]>Excellent plugin, thanks for taking the time to develop it.
I was wondering whether there might be a way to remove the ‘Welcome (to wordpress!)’ box setting/widget on the dashboard/dashboard menu?
I’m guessing it’s not a widget per se but would be nice if we could remove that too or have the option to?
Just an idea but I’m not sure how easy it would be to do.
Thanks,
Paul
