When activated, the live search of the Ivory Search plugin stops working.

Hi.
I’m trying to change button colors using hex code to use the exact color, but I can’t. All I can do is pick one color with mouse.
Is that a sort of bug, conflict or the plugin can’t handle colors by hex code?
