Using the Lite version
I have the app created and all the info input (though I will say that the fields in Facebook app creation are not the same as in the installation instructions). Token is generated. However, my Facebook ID is 10153571456787090 on mouseover of my profile picture. My custom URL is Facebook.com/beautydestroyed. However, when I go to https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=10153571456787090 that shows as invalid. I’m not sure what I’m missing in regard to this ID, can someone clue me in?

]]>I can’t get this to post to my FB page. The User ID might be part of the problem. My User ID should be 10153409084402090 , and the URL ought to be https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=10153409084402090 as shown within the app settings (the actual url is facebook.com/beautydestroyed), but that FB ID URL says the profile is not available right now. Is that ID number incorrect or something?
]]>Hi! Upon having installed and activated the wpbook-lite plugin on my live site, when I browse in the Dashboard to “Settings” > “WPBook Lite” I see a mostly empty admin panel page as in the below-linked screenshot.

As displayed in the screenshot, the admin panel page has a message at the top: “Please complete all necessary fields”. However I don’t see a long list of options, checkboxes, text fields– I don’t see the configuration controls.
What’s a good next step to troubleshoot what’s causing(and what fixes) this symptom?
This is on my live site. In contrast, when I install on a localhost dev site I see the admin panel page and its configuration controls as expected. In other words it seems to be something specific to my live site.

After doing all the things needed for the setup, I started testing with Post on our webpage, but upon pressing publish in WP this error message shows:

The strong parts being the Post title and content for testing.

WPBook is setup and I have got it all working to post to my personal FB page but when I try and change it to only post on the social group that I am an admin on I get an error:

Am I doing something wrong? I have it set to post to page and Publish as Posts but that is all I ever get.
Also, I use a plugin that automatically sets the featured image to the first one that is used in the post, yet when WPBook lite posts to FB if I don’t manually set a featured image it uses the first one on the page, the logo. Is it possible to get it to use the featured image that is autoset?

Plugin causes blank pages after logging on the site.
After investigating, found out that this plugin was creating the famous cannot modify header/cookies error.
Plugin was removed from the directory and blog now runs perfectly.

I mean posts are automatically shared both on my personal wall and my group.

1. Is Workbook Lite still an active application? Just asking – this plugin hasn’t updated in the last 2 years. Looking at the Mantis board, nothing new there since 2011 or so!

Since yesterday I get this error on all blogs. I didn’t change anything, neither the blog settings nor the facebook app settings.

I think it is related to the date format used to publish to Facebook. You can see the error message on the Sermon Manager post(which now publishes to facebook thanks to your AMAZINGLY FAST help).

I thought at first it was a Sermon Manager date issue, but it appears that the ‘normal’ WP Book Lite post has a problem with the date as well.
You can see the ‘change date’ is missing from the dialog box. Both the WPBook Lite Sermon Manager post and the WPBook Lite Normal post have the same dialog box.
Hoping you can help! And that is not REALLY obvious!

]]>WPBook has thrown quite a few errors lately, meaning that posts are not sent to Facebook. Also, there still isn’t a resend button to allow resending of posts to Facebook.
Given an apparent lack of interest from WPBook’s developers (the plugin was last updated in September 2012), I’ve decided to use SNAP as an alternative Facebook plugin for now.

]]>Generally, WPBook Lite works well, but sometimes the access token expires and I don’t realise this until after I’ve just published a post, which results in that post not being sent to my Facebook page.
I’d really appreciate a “Resend to Facebook” button on the Edit Post page for times like these. That way, I could just regenerate the token, resend the post and all would be well. Thanks!

I have an app on Facebook. I’ve put the App ID and Secret. If I click on the link to visit the app profile, it all works ok.
I have my own profile ID in, and I want WPBook Lite to publish my posts to a Facebook Group, so have entered the Group ID.
The Website URL in my app settings of Facebook are set to the same URL as my blog.
When I click on Generate Access Token, it opens up Facebook and asks for permissions to access my public profile, I give this then give permission to post publicly and permission to manage my pages.
Facebook then returns to my blog URL with the following ?wpbook=oauth&code=(and a really long code)
BUT at this point, the web page for the return URL is empty – nothing is displayed, I don’t get taken back to the WPBook lite settings etc, and therefore I cannot complete the installation.
