Simple, effective and free but needs some work…
– It would be great if instead of having to select all the variable products that will not be hidden, you select which you do want to be hidden. Or this could be a new extra option. (settings tab)
Plus, in my shop when I click on a variable that I want to remove from my list with products that will not be hidden, the page goes way down, to the end of the list and I need to scroll up again and click that product again because it did not remove it the first time.
– Also, when I click the save changes button, I go way up the list and need to scroll down again en click it again because it did not save.
– And it would be nice if it would keep all the product variations together on an archive page. If a product has 5 variations, and you add 1 more variation, this new one could be showing pages later and will not be with the other 5 in 1 row.
Added:
– It does not look at the altered published date.
– If I make a copy of a product, this new product does not show up in the front end of the shop.
I have to click the Re-init variations, which is very slow.
Added: I went for another plugin: https://storeplugin.net/plugins/variations-as-single-product-for-woocommerce/ that works great.

When we installed this plugin we assumed that its working fine. Variable to single products showing is ok but Filter not working Properly. It should be solved nevertheless its worthless to us

The plugin works nicely and does what it promises with a simple set up. The only weak point is the “re-init variations” function that should be run in background to prevent server time outs on larger stores with lots of variations. Otherwise it is a great free plugin.

When this plugin is activated, it works great on the shop page but it breaks all the category pages. For every category page it says “No products were found matching your selection”

Very nice easy plugin to show all variations of a product on your shop page. But I wish there was an option to turn it off on certain products. I can’t seem to find any option for this

Very good plugin and not very commonly available in WP ??

This plugin does the job but not well enough to my opinion.
I came across a few bugs and quirks like :
– The number of generated items does not match category count product (you’ll need to disable category count to keep navigation consistent)
– It generates invisible items for products that are not published yet (draft, import list, etc …) which results in a few empty pages.
It would be a great feature to be able to choose the attribute we want the plugin to use for splitting variations. Instead, it splits according to all the attributes. (ex: it splits by color but also by size)

This was pretty good – most importantly unlike others (even premium ones) it has global settings. Pretty much set and forget.
I don’t know how it would work if you had multiple attributes (I basically only have colours) but it did what I needed. However I decided against using it because the Minimum/Maximum quanties plugin I use (and which is essential) no longer works properly in Yiths Quick View. Normally if the parent product is set for a minimum quantity even if the variations haven’t set a quantity it will take from it’s global settings and all appears right. However with this plugin the variations always showed the default minimum (1) even if a minimum (2) was actually input for the variation.
I have 3 different min/max plugins which I use at various times and they all did the same thing on the Quick View (going to the product itself the quantity was correct) so I suspect the conflict is probably with Quick View. I could try a different Quick View I suppose, but don’t have the time. Quick View worked properly again when the plugin was deactivated (presumably because it was taking the quantity from the parent and the variations were back to swatches)
Nevertheless, this is a very promising plugin and I hope to use it in the future.

The plugin works great with simple products. But digging deeper, there are some problems.
1. If you have Multi-Level Variations (like Fashion: Color & Size) it will show all the variations. Would be nicer to only show the color-variation instead of color-size. There is no setting / mapping to do so.
2. If you re-init the products, it will always end in a critical error. But the job seems to run properly.
3. If variations are shown in the product list, only the title will be linked, not the image. Which is, especialy on mobile, not very userfriendly. Also the theme-owned “badges” and the bullet-points are not shown in the list as with “regular products”.
Still a great plugin for many sites I guess.
