A few years ago, I noted to myself to avoid this plugin because it has too many limitations in the free version and is practically unusable because of that. At that time there was a limit of up to 2 collections and 18 plugins per collection.
What’s the current situation? Has anything changed? Is this even in accordance with the WordPress wp.org plugin guidelines? These limits are definitely not mentioned anywhere in the plugin description.
]]>I’ve been using wpcore for a few years now and really love it. But I think since the last WP upgrade it crashes every time I select all the plugins to install and try to bulk install. When trying to install the first plugin, I get a “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” error message.
Please advice.
Thanks, David
]]>hello is this plugin still maintained ?
]]>WordPress 5.8.3 or 5.9 and WPCore 1.9.1 do not show the plugin list on the screen after adding the collection key and saving the collections.
Even if I test the configuration with only WordPress and the WPCore plugin, the collection key cannot be registered correctly.
cURL Information is 7.29.0, PHP Version is 7.4.27, mysql version is 5.6.
However, when I install WPCore locally (https://localwp.com/), the plugin list is displayed correctly, so I guess the problem is on the server side, but I don’t know what to check on the server.
Can anyone advise me on how to fix the problem?
After I went to bulk install my plugins, I get this message every time: “Something went wrong with the plugin API.”
Not sure what is wrong. I enabled CURL, as before that it wouldn’t even bring in my collection. After enabling curl, I now can.
Is there any php module I should enable, or anything else I should do?
Thank you in advance. ??
Best,
Bobby

]]>Hi WPCore Team,
I too got this error. It is a problem with TGMPA (which is what I think you are using):
https://github.com/TGMPA/TGM-Plugin-Activation/issues/686
There is a code fix listed in the Github thread. Unfortunately they have not released a new version with the fix.
Is this fix something you could please add?
Thanks,
David

]]>Hello –
I am currently unable to install custom modules via WPCore. When attempting to install them I simply get the message “Something went wrong with the plugin API.” without any errors logged.

Please let me know what else you might need to know. This is a brand new isntall of WordPress, no other plugins but Askismet and WPCore only, with 2017 standard WP theme.
]]>Love the Plugin,
However, i am running a fresh WP Core install with the WP core plugin. Everything works unless I try to install more then one plugin at a time. I tried different configurations to weed out a particular PI but it seems it is not case specific. I have no errors installing via the collection list individually.
Any guidance on this would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeffrey

There doesn’t seem to be a way to upload any premium plugins such as Yoast Premium which is a paid plugin as well as all the other ones I utilize? It only seems to pull in publicly available plugins….. Am I missing something?
]]>Hi,
Thanks for your great plugin!
I’ve noticed that on some clean WordPress installs selecting all plugins in WP Core to install and choosing “Install” from the dropdown menu below the plugin lists not only installs them, but also activates them (which is referenced in the process by “Plugin XXX installed and activated”). As you might imagine, turning on all plugins simultaneously leads to problems.
Could you look into it please?
Best,
Chris Trynkiewicz

Hi Stueynet
I have been using this plugin for a while without issue. however, when I loaded it onto a new site this morning, I got the message…

https://hostgreener.com.au is currently unable to handle this request.

I am unable to access WP Admin.
If I delete the plugin, I can access WP Admin.
I have subsequently tried it on another site and got the same message.
]]>Hey
What about adding on to the discussion of Install multiple plugins?
https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/22029
Having a way to use bulk install using favorite plugins would be really good.
The trac ticket looks quiet and having developers who have already made a plugin adding to the discussion would help.
I read the topic “Insufficient Permissions Error” and also the faq.
It seems that also iPress theme is affected: when I try to install the plugins the button brings me to the “required plugins” page.
Thus WpCore is fatally crippled.
I humbly suggest to protect that class that you use from name clash and from others misusing it.

This may be something you’ve fixed, but if not, I wanted you to be aware of it.
I have a user on my site with editor privileges. She’s not very familiar with WP, and was thrown when she logged in and got a prompt to install plugins. I didn’t understand what was happening until today I noticed the prompt “WPCore Plugins: (list of plugins here) Begin installing plugins | Dismiss this notice”. I’m sure I had seen it before and simply dismissed it; probably I’m getting it today because the WPCore plugin was updated.
The point is, no user with a role below Administrator is able to install plugins, so they shouldn’t get that prompt. Would you be able to make that change, if you haven’t already?

Thanks, it’s a very useful plugin!

]]>Using the latest version of the popular X theme, when I try installing plugins by clicking on the Install Plugins on the WP Core settings page, it gives a insifficient permissions error.
I saw the other thread about the theme using the same class or something, can you make your class unique so it doesn’t conflict with themes?

]]>Hi, a GREAT plugin, I love it. My question is how WPCORE ‘finds’ the plugins from the www.ads-software.com listing. Sometimes I search for an existing plugin which will not display in your list. Since I paid for the custom (advanced users only) option, I can add the plugin by inserting the .zip URL. For me that is the ‘workaround’. Coudl you reply on this, in other words, does your list display the actual www.ads-software.com database?
