Installed, image added to category, doesn’t show. No instructions other than install plugin. Support forum has tons of unanswered posts that go back a few years. Horrible support. Uninstalling.

I’m using it with WP 4.9.8 even though it hasn’t been tested for this version, and it works great! Thanks for developing it ??

I started using this plugin as it was required by one of my themes to set header images on archive pages. I really love it! Will definitely continue using for future projects.

This plugin was just what I was looking for to achieve the image I wanted for my blog site. I had trouble figuring out how to make it work with my site, since I have no development experience. I reached out to Eduardo, the creator of the plugin, and he responded to me very quickly.
Eduardo spent a lot of time with me explaining things and helping me. It is thanks to him that my site looks great. He is a brilliant and talented developer. Thank you Eduardo!

Yes, it would be nice to have a bit more detail on how the plugin works but it doesn’t take much to figure it out.
And it does work, so not sure what problems oomskaap is having.
In a category page, you need only specify the size (and even that defaults to ‘full’).
Gets 3 stars because it does what it says but what it says is fairly basic.

if you write a plugin, remember to show the users how to enter it into their theme. I mean is it so difficult to just show a complete example of copy and paste instead of vague
category_image($params,$echo)
