I am looking for an event ticketing plugin and tried at least 5 of them all with varying grades of (no) success, especially if you’re looking for a custom payment engine.

WP Event Ticketing by 9seeds seems to be the easiest to set up and worked well, except for the fact that paypal is the only payment method and the “ticket” actually isn’t a ticket – it’s more of a registered name and details page – so no actual ticket number or anything.

If both of the above could be fixed, this would be so awesome, it would make me dance around the room (not much of that going on right now as I look for my perfect ticket plugin!)

Keep up the good work though – and thanks for all your time and efforts – why I love WordPress awesome developers like you doing all this for virtually free!

Of all the ticketing plugins, this is the only one that works for me.

This plugin is great. I used it to sell tickets a music performance on my site. This is the first time I have sold anything online and the setup instructions were straight forward.

The good:
The only fees that you will encounter are from paypal (i.e., unavoidable). Other services will charge an additional premium which will dig into profits.

The not so good:
It would be nice to collect ticket holder information prior to payment through paypal. Too many people didn’t fill it out after purchasing and we had to resort to “[email protected], party of X” at the door instead of having individual names to check off.

The bad:
This plugin doesn’t provide ‘print out’ tickets. People who pay for things want to have something in their hand for the money they spend (electronic QR code login at events would be great too)
