From what I read, this only works with the old version of Google forms. I cannot convert my new version of Google form to be old version, so this does not work for me. I would give it you 5 Stars if it worked with a new version of Google forms.

Nice Plugin and Question reply soon

Doesn’t work with new Google Forms and it is too complicated to get it to work otherwise.

I’ve been trying to make it work for the past 2 days.
Whenever I add a new Google Form, it doesn’t appear in the Google Forms window (https://prntscr.com/iawl12 – it’s always empty, no matter how many I create). It just creates the post with the shortcode, which also when checking the page of the post, doesn’t show any form, just an error – “Unable to process Google Form short code”.
I even tested with the autors test case (https://prntscr.com/iawpi9) from here -https://michaelwalsh.org/wordpress/wordpress-plugins/wpgform/sample-form/, and still got the error message “Unable to process Google Form short code” (https://prntscr.com/iawqfo). I’m not sure if the URL has anything to do with this, as I noticed that when creating the Google From it says that it will be created in /wpgforms/test, but in the output it’s created in /test/?lang=ro (https://prntscr.com/iawrx9).
If I use the shortcode that is supposedly deprecated – [gform], it does show the form, but that way I have very little customization options.

So, the ONLY reason I foolishly activated this plugin was to attempt to customize a Google form to match My site. I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTICES the plugin author provided and reverted My form back to the old Google Form format to accommodate this plugin.
The new Google Forms allows you to do quite a bit of customization so this plugin is not necessary for simple desires such as resizing the form for embedding into your webpage and customizing colors — which the new Google Forms provides easy ways to do.
I’m MOST annoyed that something in this plugin’s installation has now disrupted My PREVIEW function and is wasting My time to fix.
I searched through the support forums to see if anyone else encountered this aggravation and a fix was provided. No such luck.
By the time someone will get back to Me about this disruption, I will have fixed it Myself.
SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTE OF MY TIME.

Really appreciate your work Mike. It still working well.
Yet, you need to use old google form format. Just copy the published URL of the form and paste it in the add ‘New Google Form’ settings. Next just need to add the &hl=en parameter to my form URL as before that the form appear to be in other language. I want it to be in English.
Regards, Zakwan.

I don’t know a lot about this plugin as I’m the server administrator/programmer, but I had to help my co-worker/web developer with it. I block eval on our client servers (a lot of shared hosts do) because of the security risk. On line 774 and 776 of wpgform-core.php, this plugin uses eval where there is no need to whatsoever. Unless the plugin author knows of a case I don’t see? Even still, as the creator of PHP stated:
“If eval() is the answer, you’re almost certainly asking the wrong question.”
Line: 774
Change
$x = eval(‘return sprintf(“%s%s%s”, $a, $op1, $b);’) ;
To
$x = sprintf(“%s%s%s”, $a, $op1, $b);
Line: 776
Change
$x = eval(‘return sprintf(“%s%s%s%s%s”, $a, $op1, $b, $op2, $c);’) ;
To
$x = sprintf(“%s%s%s%s%s”, $a, $op1, $b, $op2, $c);

How do you get the plug in?

Its not working …. ?? totally waste of time.

Your plugin was the solution to my problem. Scratched my head a little before I figured out I needed to revert to the old google form format. Now that I did, everything works fine. Thanks for your help.

does not work with new form. It also too complex to get that working.

This plugin will not work with the new Google Forms.

There may be other plugins/methods to achieve the same thing, but I have been searching for a way to use google forms and customize the appearance for months and finally came across this (I’m not sure why I didn’t see it sooner!).
I was in the process of looking into paid services and spending a lot of money to get the same results since I need a multi-page, go to a specific page based on answer type of form built into my website, therefore this plugin will save me money, as well!
It’s not perfect, which is why I only gave it 4 stars, as it’s currently not working with the current version of Forms. I realize this is not the plugin authors fault and they have gone to lengths to make sure users understand why and how to work around it, but I wanted to make sure to mention it.
My fear is that google will decide to make the old forms obsolete and this plugin will no longer be valid, so once they figure out how to get it working with the newest version of Forms, I’ll give it that 5th star!
Thanks again!

Seems to only work with old google forms. See author’s prior responses to convert new forms to old google forms.

hi.. I tried to use this plugins many times. and it always end up by saying SIGN IN TO CONTINUE TO FORMS
no matter what I did. whether I put the code within the page, or I link directly to the google form when setting up the menu

I thought this was a great idea and donated as you all should. At that stage it wasnt working for me because I was using New Google Forms and this plugin did not work. Once I reverted back to Old Google Forms, the plugin works fine.
My wish is that Mike impliments some form of data checking eg if a user enters Porsches the form checks for previous entries and suggests Porsche. Also a nice display module for Google sheet would be lovely too but heaps of thanks anyway Mike.
Yours, Al.

It is the best.
Using CSS you can custom everything.
Congratulations developers.

It works. It does what it says it will do and doesn’t break anything else. What more could you ask for. You’ll likely have to spend a little time tweaking the styles to get the form to match your theme. I didn’t need any support, but it looks like Mike is very responsive.

I was having some trouble with Google rendering some of the text on my form as a foreign language (Thai in my case). Mike explained the reasons behind the issue and gave me the exact fix. He responded to my support request within hours.
So not only is the plugin incredibly useful, this speaks to the developer’s devotion to supporting and continuing to develop it: a major selling point in my book.

adding google forms , showing it in own CSS, the easy and pretty way… just great

This plugin was EXACTLY what I needed, and it does with it says very well. I used the provided shortcode along with a little functions hack to allow me to change the google form based on the url of the webpage.
add_shortcode('gfm', 'google_form');
function google_form() {
return do_shortcode("[gform form='https://docs.google.com/forms/d/".$_GET['gfm']."' style='ajax' alert='Thanks! Your form has been submitted.']");
So when someone visits the url
https://www.ufaed.org/members/forms/google/?gfm=1xhJDudZgXJuhWoY3aqhs92f46eTRNxTxISloP2MEMqQ
or
https://www.ufaed.org/members/forms/google/?gfm=1MMvNsquaPFcIKmHJH9cJFhqzGILT2gkMjF9UU6th-LM
They get that specific form.

If you know CSS, this allows the most control over your forms, period. Super plugin!
