Hi,
i have installed the Photo Engine (WP/LR Sync) and Real Media Library.
Do i need this plugin also? or is the information outdated?
My old sync-galleries of Lightroom are visible als galleries in RML. Have not tested a new gallerie caming from Lightroom.
Regards, Martin
]]>Hi,
Before WP/LR Sync (Photo Engine) version 6, there was a way to retrieve the LR collection ID from the Folders & Collections menu. Now, the collection ID is only available from the Media Organizer installed by Photo Engine. However, when using Real Media Library, the Media Organizer is superfluous (and it doesn’t work for us for the moment).
So, it would be more practical to have the LR Collection ID displayed somewhere in the WPLR Sync section of RML. Otherwise, we have to return to Lightroom to retrieve the LR collection ID.
Thanks in advance.

The renaming of a folder in the WP/LR Synch publishing service in my Lightroom collection is not reflected in WordPress Media Library.
When I change the name, it is displayed/updated correctly in Photo Engine Media Organizer. But unfortunately not in the corresponding WPLR Sync folder (RMF folder) of the WordPress Mediathek.
What can I do? Thanks for any help ??

]]>Hello .. I’ve bought yesterday the LightRoom PlugIn on meowapps and installed it on my Mac M1 LightRoom (newest Version) and insert my requested Token etc in the PlugIn Settings .. but I′ve got an error:
Ein interner Fehler ist aufgetreten: wplr.lrplugin/WPLRSyncExportServiceProvider.lua:661: attempt to compare number with nil
On WP I′m using Real Media .. so I’ve installed this PlugIn here .. and the recommend PlugIn Photo Engine from meow .. or is the photo engine not needed at all and that is where the problem lies?
Thanks
]]>Hello!
Loving the plugin, thank you, it’s just what my client needs, however…
Having just updated the plugin I found that on syncing new collections, with the “Use Capture Date” ticked, the GUID in the database was not matching the path to the uploaded file.
I had a look in core.php and found in the function sync_media_add() that while there is a check to see if that flag is set and altering the upload destination $upload_dir accordingly, when the post data is added the GUID field used $wp_upload_dir instead, which was causing, at least for the way I’m using it, missing images on the page.
I’ve unticked the box in the settings page and it’s working fine now.
But it might be worth looking at changing line 1149 from:
‘guid’ => $wp_upload_dir[‘url’] . ‘/’ . basename( $newpath ),
to:
‘guid’ => $upload_dir[‘url’] . ‘/’ . basename( $newpath ),
I’ve tested this change with the “use capture date” ticked and it’s working.
Not sure if there’s anything similar in update functions, but this fix has worked for me.
Thanks again, it’s a great plugin.

Does anyone happen to know where that comes from? I am writing here because I saw the following reference to WP / LR Sync in the messages:
wplr/v1/gallery/(?P[0-9]+)
Wordpress Version: 5.7
PHP: 8.0.2
Apache 2.4
Ubuntu 18.04
Maybe can help anyone? Or can i ignore them?
]]>I am using IP Geo Block plugin to try and prevent malicious file uploads. Anything other than allowing all (Disabling the feature) generates a sync error. What are the MIME/file extensions used so that I can Whitelist them? Or how would I debug the issue to find them? Disabling prior to sync is a fine work around for the moment. I just don’t want to forget to turn it back on. It’s a charity site and you’d be surprised (or maybe not) how often some joker is trying to break in. For what I have no idea.
Other than that, everything is working really well.
Thanks!

]]>Hello,
I’m having an error that seems to be connected to WP/LR Sync, Real Media Library, and Essential Grid. I’m not sure where the problem might be coming from, so I’m checking with all the plugins.
When I select Real Media Library as a source for an Essential Grid gallery, the Please Wait message appears and the page freezes. I’ve made sure everything is updated and checked to see if there are any settings that need to be adjusted. I’m a novice at this, so there isn’t anything obvious to me.
Do you have any suggestions on what might be causing the problem and what might fix it?
Thanks!
Aaron
Hi – happy user of WP Real Media Library plugin for over 4 years.
We have been having difficulty with WP/LR sync – Recently we re-ordered a WP/LR folder in the media library and it broke the ability to sync with lightroom.
We decided to “resync with extensions” to clear the issue.
We have ~5000 images and it takes hours – and always stalls. We have be re-initializing the sync for 2 days now.
Our galleries are dependent on WP Real Media Library Folder IDs – the plug-in half syncs some folders work while others don’t.
help.
]]>Hi,
I’m need to transfert settings from my old computer to my new one. Can you help me ?

]]>I’ve tried resetting and resyncing numerous times. I found instructions on going back to old version of WP/LR to try to clean things up, and that didn’t work. It seems there ought to be some sort of “start from scratch” switch.
Possible confounding things: I’m on a multisite, but that hasnt been a problem before. I’ve turned off caching so that’s an unlikely culprit. I’ve spent hours on this – any ideas?
As I said, I’d be happy to go back to square one – it would be a lot of work, but if I knew it would work I’d do it.
]]>Hi,
LR image order is not respected in WP RMF folder.
Example:
i have this WP/LR Sync collection in LR:
https://d.pr/free/i/3rbcGd
and in WP the order is completely different:
https://d.pr/free/i/opbQtA
Another WP/LR Sync collection in LR:
https://d.pr/free/i/WPvLB2
and in WP the order is again completely different:
https://d.pr/free/i/pIRtE5
One of the main features you advertise for WP/LR Sync Folders is that it respects LR image order. That`s why i bought WP Real Media Library and WP Real Physical Media and WP/LR Sync for Lightroom:
Please help.
Thanks,
Axel

]]>I currently have duplicate galleries from two different lightroom catalogs. Only one of these is published. How can I merge the two galleries so that both catalogs in lightroom are always in sync and the published gallery is the one that is accurately linked to? Thanks!

]]>I have installed:
– WP/LR Sync v.5.0.8
– WP/LR Sync Folders v.1.1.1
– WP Real Media Library v.4.5.0
on WP 5.2.1.
Under WP/LR Sync > Extensions, it still says “No extensions have been loaded (and that is fine).”
Under Settings > Media > Real Media Library, there’s a new item “WP/LR shortcut files”, so presumably it’s being recognized somewhere.
Is there something else that needs to be done to have the extension loaded and recognized? I’ve deactivated and reactivated the various parts in the order recommended here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wplr-sync-folders/#installation
]]>I have installed RML, and activated WP/LR Sync Folders, but I am still getting the following error:
“The plugin WP/LR Sync Folders (Add-On) could not be initialized because Real Media Library is not active (maybe not installed neither) or the version of Real Media Library is < 4.0.10 (please update).”
RML is not recognized in WP/LR Sync extensions, and RML is not available in the media tab.
What do I need to do to get RML working with wp/lr sync folders
]]>I’ve recently updated the Lightroom WP/LR plugin to 5.0.1, and updated the RML plugin in WP as well as all the other WP/LR plugins (theme assistant, folders). I’m now getting duplicate folders in the Media Library RML sidebar. I probably didn’t update properly, I know there were some WP/LR issues and I tried to follow the steps but I clearly missed some. Can you help me out with this? Or give me detailed instructions on how to go about fixing this? Thanks so much!

]]>Hi Jordy,
first off all, I’m using WP/LR Sync in combination with your Lightroom plugin since many years and it’s a wonderful time saver that I highly recommend. It worked well with RealMedia Library plugin that I bought in addition and it was very useful. Also the combination with Justify Image Grid/RealMedia Library works perfect and I’m using it on a lot of sites.
But since you have desided (You & Matthias) to renew the connection I’m lost a little bit. I tried to update two times and returned to the old combination again cause of being not successful. It took me a little while to understand that WP/LR Sync folder and WP/LR Sync are not replacing but complementing each other. The information about this was a little bit mixed up.
So I tried to update the third time as I saw that you have updated your plugin to 5.0, what seems very useful due to the new token method (now I have an issue with Wordfence but that’s another story).
To come to my question.
All my galleries are connected through Justify Image Grid directly to the WP/LR Sync folders in RML. I updated all plugins to the newest versions. The connection is fine and I can upload and remove pictures through Lightroom…. but now there are TWO folder trees in the Real Media Plugin. One named WP/LR Sync, the other WPLR Sync. In “WP/LR” Sync are all the old folders and images. In “WPLR” Sync there is the same folder hierarchy but with image shortcuts that points to the “WP/LR” Sync folder.
When I’m uploading new images through Lightroom the images are uploaded to WPLR Sync (where the Shortcuts are). The WP/LR Sync folders remains unaffected. For me its realy annoying, because all the old folders are connected to Justify Image Grid and I would have to reconnect all sites to the “new tree” in WPLR Sync. It makes absolutely no sense for me to combine the old and new tree. To keep the old images in WP/LR Sync, and to combine shortcuts of the WP/LR Sync tree in the WPLR Sync in combination with new images that I will upload in the future.
How can I get rid of one of the trees (WP/LR or WPLR) and connect it to Justify Image Grid again?
Or should I use the new feature in WP/LR Sync 5.0, to show the folders in the WP Media and say good bye to the Real Media Plugin? (this would mean to reconnect all images and give another plugins a try (Meow Gallery etc. – which have – sorry to say Jordy – reduced possibilities compared with Justify Image Grid) It will be a lot of work anyway ??
Any solutions to solve this?
Tom
]]>Trying to update the plugin for use with the new RP Real Media Library Extension by Mathius with the instructions on the WP/LR Sync site.
“Reset with Extensions” keeps freezing at various points throughout the process. Really annoying because it starts from the top each time – and I have over 6000 media files.
-Any ideas to solve this? – is there a way to wipe all the media tags from the database manually to speed this thing up?
]]>I successfully installed this plugin on one site. It appears to be working normally. However, on a second site, it is not. Uploading from Lightroom creates a folder for the selected gallery, but does not place the images in it. Instead, they are in the ‘Uncategorized’ folder above it.
I have tried to use the ‘Resync with Extensions’ button, but while it starts, it seems to stall immediately.
Nothing else that I have tried, such as deleting other plugins, deleting this plugin and reinstalling it, fails.
I do have two licenses for the WP Real Media.
]]>So, what is it with all about these shortcuts? I now see two photos in my WordPress media library, one original and one with an arrow (the shortcut). Sometimes even more than two (i.e. if the photo is in multiple LR collections).
Could you explain the concept with these shortcuts, please?
Also, when I create a post and want to set a featured image from a collection, then it shows me the shortcut version. Am I supposed to add this and not the original? Is it all the same?
Thanks.
]]>Having update WP/LR Sync and RML / WPLR Sync Folders to the latest versions. I am encountering Sync problems. On re-publishing a LR collection to remove one image and add a replacement, the following happened:
– the gallery in WP/LR Sync was updated correctly
– the folder in RML continued to show the old image and not the new.
– the media gallery collection filter shows the old image removed, but the new one is not added.
– attempts to resync result only in an existing RML folder being duplicated without content.
Separately I created a new smart collection and published it. This resulted in correct data appearing in WP/LR Sync, and new folder appearing in RML (new directory structure, not original), this had shortcuts only. On disabling RML this images cannot be found in Media Manager.
Help on resolving this would be appreciated
Hello,
would you be so kind to clarify if this new plugin replaces the other one*? That confuses me a lot, thank you.
