WP/LR Sync has significantly improved my workflow as a photographer. The seamless integration with Lightroom Classic made it easy to organize and sync my photos with my WordPress site. It saved me a lot of time and hassle, allowing me to focus more on my photography work. Definitely a must-have tool for photographers.

Been using the plugin for a few weeks now and I gotta say that it’s one of the easiest plugins I’ve used to date. I’ve been developing and managing our own websites for the past few years on WordPress and have tried plenty of plugins and solutions to better manage our images. What Jordy has done is simplify the process and make the experience of using WordPress a breeze.
Definitely a must have plugin!

I’ve been exploring Photo Engine and must say, it’s an impressive tool, especially for those of us who have a keen interest in photography and digital media organization. The features it offers, particularly the ones akin to Lightroom, provide a robust and user-friendly experience.
One aspect I particularly appreciate is the intuitive interface, which simplifies the process of organizing and editing large collections of photos. It’s evident that a lot of thought has gone into making this tool accessible to both professionals and hobbyists. The seamless integration with existing media libraries is a significant advantage, and the editing tools are powerful yet easy to use.
As someone deeply involved in the world of computing and photography, I see great potential in Photo Engine for users who need a reliable and efficient media organizer. The flexibility it offers, combined with its comprehensive set of features, makes it a valuable asset for anyone serious about digital photography. Great work on developing this tool, and I’m looking forward to seeing its continued evolution.

Just over 6 months ago I inherited the role of family archivist after a cousin suddenly passed away. He had spent the last 20 years scanning and hosting a prolific collection of family photos, and I suddenly needed to download, archive, and somehow reshare them with the world, as well as take on the mantle of adding to the archive. As a very busy Product Manager I had two criteria: 1) a self-hosted vanilla install of the latest wordpress and 2) some (cheap-ass) plugin or service that would allow me to manage the 4000+ image collection via metadata/keywords. I didn’t think I’d find something as elegant as WP/LR Sync! It allows me to use Lightroom Classic (the only thing that comes close to being able to manage the collection like the enterprise DAM platforms I’m used to, or like, you know, Lightroom Classic). Jordy has done an extraordinary job layering on his plugins without code bloat. Each plugin has a very narrow scope, does just what it needs to do, and has a very clear purpose. Aside from the synced publishing, being able to take advantage of the keyword organization available in LrC in WP is a game changer no other platform can touch. I have now installed most of Jordy Meow plugins, some of them even the PRO version! I’m obsessed! I’ll have to write much shorter reviews for my favorites.

I’ve been using this plug in for a few months without any problem. I am very happy with it. The plug in simplifies transferring photographs when first published, and importantly, if they have been updated in LR, then keeping the WP version in synch. These two capabilities avoid many headaches.

WPLR let me accomplish the workflow I had in mind when I started designing a wordpress photo gallery and blog. With Foo Gallery on the WP end, I am able to easily sync Lightroom Smart Collections based on key words with galleries on my web site. It wasn’t easy to figure it out all the pieces, but once I did, it worked just as documented. I greatly appreciate the effort put in to creating this tool — thanks!

As a photographer I have banged my head many times on how to keep my growing portfolio of work synchronised between my website and my Lightroom Catalogue. Once an image has been processed and catalogued, I often forget to update my website, meaning I end up with the website being out of date and a lengthly process to get everything back in sync.
This was such a problem on WordPress for me, that I moved to other platforms (Squarespace, WIX, etc) hoping the problem could be eased. I even wrote Lightroom plugins to export my image meta-data into WIX. Helped but still needed far too much work and took too long.
So whilst looking for another solution to my headache, I found WP/LR Sync and I just had to give it a go. Brilliant! So it is back to using WordPress for my site all because of WP/LR Sync ??
If you are a photographer using Lightroom and using WordPress to display your images, this really is a must have.

Photo Engine is the best app I could ever imagine having as a photographer and blogger. Syncing photos between Lightroom and my WordPress site is the definition of “I didn’t know I needed this.”
Media organization, the ability to continuously edit photos, photo SEO optimization, all of it becomes super easy and streamlined with this one app.
Even if you aren’t a photographer, but you are utilizing original photos on your site, the workflow that becomes possible with this app is unbeatable. It’s also a great option for Technical SEO, especially when you mix it with the Perfect Images App. If you haven’t seen the Meow Apps catalog, then you don’t even know the possibilities yet. I highly recommend checking them out.

I stumbled across this plugin looking for a way to upload images to WordPress with Title, Description, Alt, and keywords filled out.
All the options I saw for importing data from a spreadsheet were quite expensive and still needed some online repository for the images.
This solution is elegant, simple, and worth every cent.
There are plugins for lightroom that allow the modification of ANY metadata via spreadsheet for free.
All I have to do is publish the image and TaDa…(drumroll) it appears in WordPress.
Note: I find the Adobe settings for publishing to the net not good enough. The images are still not small enough for today’s speed and quality requirements.
I use Imageoptim for Mac to compress images for the net and set the publishing settings to “do not optimise”. The results are way better in all aspects than Lightroom or Photoshop optimisations.

One of my mainstay plugins that works very well in combination with my wordpress theme from madebyminiml. So convenient, and so easy to see what has been updated and to create custom folders that reflect the folders on my site. Thanks for a great work ethics on this!

<p>As a passionate photographer I have used the wonderful koken.me (rest in peace) for several years and was like many others looking for an adequate replacement which I have now finally found in WP & PhotoEngine – but not without having shed a lot of blood and sweat. I have PhotoEngine now the second year in use and the engine purrs like a kitten. I am very satisfied all in all. I use it to feed two websites that are both built with Elementor. One of them consists only of static pages with just a gallery widget, the other is my personal photographer portfolio, which was structured using Theme Assistant to interpret Lightroom albums and collections as WordPress post categories and structure them accordingly. This did cost me some nerves at first until it finally worked because, and this would perhaps be my only criticism, the Theme Assistant documentation is a bit thin, and aimed more at developers. Some of the references led nowhere, or referred to themselves. But in the end all was well and suddenly it worked as it should.</p>

This amazing tool allows me to focus on designing my website once and then only focus on my photography within Lightroom. I don’t have to worry about exporting, uploading, creating a project post, adding the photos, etc. It’s all automatic and has made sharing photos on the internet enjoyable again! Not to mention that the developer is very helpful and responsive.

Being a Lightroom and WordPress user finding the WP/LR Sync was a gift from heaven. After defining the syncing properties in Lightroom’s Publishing Services the synchronization with my WordPress site works like a charm. And what’s most fascinating: Any image modification in Lightroom is automatically synchronized. On top of that the developer Jordy Meow is a very nice person to contact.

As a photographer, you concentrate on your photos and for the majority, I am guessing they use Lightroom to organize and optimize their photos. So why not use the tool of your choice to even publish your photos to your WordPress Media Library? Together with the Meow Gallery (separate plugin!), I am able to manage my entire portfolio on my WP site. I simply use the LR publishing service and collections, to decide which photo, with what caption and tags it should appear where. In order to do this, next to Photo Engine, you need the WP/LR Sync add-on. The combination saves so much time, as there is no need to go to WP to upload images. If I want to remove, add or update an image, I can do this from within Lightroom. Even without the additional sync feature, Photo Engine allows me to organize my photos and media that are not coming from LR. The option to do this is through folders and collections directly in the WP media organizer. Photo Engine uses the photo keyword tags that then can be used from within Meow Gallery, the Photo Engine Extensions, or if enabled at the settings, as WP taxonomy, which means the keywords are written to the media library, similar to tags available for posts. There are many other features like the advanced usage of an API or consolidating all or just selected WP media with Lightroom (again the WP/LR Sync add-on is required). And the best thing at all is it is super easy to use! You definitely want this plugin in combo with the WP/LR Plugin if you want instant updates to your portfolio or galleries by just using Lightroom.

As a professional photographer every couple of years we renew the identity of the site, it is common to also change the logo and colors, Meow WP / LR Sync is the best plugin I have found to synchronize LR and WP and make sure to make the corresponding updates in the photos without Getting out of LR is spectacular, I highly recommend it.

This plugin works great if you want a more advanced gallery but still using the native wordpress gallery. Its simple to set up, reliable and easy for clients to use. Love the simplicity. No problems at all so far.

The Photo Engine plugin allows you to publish collections to WordPress. This one is easy to set up, and it works like a charm, removing the need for exporting from Lightroom and then uploading.
Like all publish services, this is a simple matter of configuring once and never look at it again. You fill in your key, then the token from your site, and then start publishing.
It might be a good idea to resize your image, as some WordPress sites might otherwise time out during the upload. But in many cases, this is not a drawback, as you probably don’t need your large image on a blog, and the smaller version performs much better.
I did have a small problem once, but the awesome support of Jordy and Thomas helped me along very fast. So I’ll just repeat it: if you use Lightroom and WordPress, this is the plugin you want.
