Hi this is a great plugin, is it possible to remove the dashboard link and the edit your profile link that appears once logged in?

]]>I’m wondering why there is no option to use this widget more than once. My main site has a widgetized homepage (no sidebar) and I’d like users to be able to log in from the homepage OR from the sidebar widget on interior pages. Once I’ve used the widget in my sidebar, it’s not available for me to use again. Is there a way around this?

]]>Hi Josh,
Will the option to “Subscribe users to main site” always add any new registered network user to the main site (or selected site id) regardless of how the get to the registration page?
I currently use a separate plugin to add all new users as subscribers to our main site. I just want to confirm the option in your plugin will do the same thing, even if they don’t register via the link in the login sidebar widget. If so, I can select the option and delete our other plugin.
Please advise, thanks!

]]>Hi
I noticed in some of the posts here that there are some issues with the plugin and you mentioned that there would be an update soon, but that was a while ago.
Can you please let me know what your intentions are?
Cheers

]]>Hi!
Great plugin, thanks a lot!
I need a piece of css that make mouseover function in the submit button. Out Of The Box the plugin doesn’t have a mouse-over/hover function on the submit, and I really miss that feature.
.widget_wp_sidebarlogin submit-button:hover does not work ??
How can we make the “hand” appear on mouse over?

]]>I think the appearance is a little bit entangled after the login. I suggest to use only links next to the avatar. The sentence “Welcome back…” is unnecessary, since we welcomed the user already in the title.
I tested only the multiste part with buddypress. I’ll send you my version. Please check it, how you would be able to integrate it in the next version.
I was thinking about it, if it would be possible to setup the appearance in the admin area. But i have no idea, how.

]]>WordPress: 3.2.1 Network setup
BuddyPress: 1.5.1

If the user has no blog, the links “Dashboard”, “Posting Area”, “Edit your profile” doesn’t works. They points to “https://wp-admin”, because the $current_site variable is empty.
Additionally, you shouldn’t display “Posting Area” link, if the user has no permission to add new posts.

]]>Hi,
i did a german translation of the plugin with PoEdit, and saved the german files as
wpms_sidebar_login-de_DE.po
wpms_sidebar_login-de_DE.mo
in the “languages” directory.
However, everything is still in english – in the backend and in the frontend. Can you please advise what’s wrong here? (Plugin version 1.8)

]]>The links to the user’s blog, to write a post, and to edit their profile do not work.
]]>As most of you probably know, when a user registers on an WPMU/WPMS site, they are *not* added to the main site with a role, so when they click the dashboard link or the profile link, they will get a permissions error because they don’t have an active role. If you are looking for a way to fix this, check out the comments area on this post.

]]>I really appreciate all the work provided by the free plugins’ authors to the community. I really do.
Still. I canNOT understand why, especially when it concerns such small plugins as the “WPMS Sidebar Login Widget”, internationalization is NOT taken under consideration right from the start.
Out of 7 billion people on this planet, only 328 million speak english. WordPress is an international community and much more when we deal with multisites.
So please, pretty please, to all the precious developers out there.
When writing a plugin and take all this time to think of the code, put it together, publish it to the community. Keep in mind that NOT ALL speak english. Some of us the only english we understand is at the level of Me Tarzan, You Jane.
I hope I don’t sound harsh. This is not my intention. I just had to say it all. So glad I got it off my chest… ??
Now for the “WPMS Sidebar Login Widget” in particular. It would be nice for the plugin to pick up (once logged in) the user’s language and not have the displayed messages hardcoded.
Joshmac. Can you please look into it and provide us with a .pot file?
Also please keep in mind that there is another plugin already called “Sidebar Login“. So under settings it gets a bit confusing.
Thank you in advance
]]>Hi,
Sounds like a great idea.
Unfortunately it canNOT be activated (version 1.1). Neither sitewide or just on the main site. ??
I hope it gets fixed.
