Confirmed with Zach Katz, since the Weather Underground API changed this plugin is no longer supported.
Too bad. I think it was the only plugin for accessing Weather Underground weather station data.

As it says. Used to be 5-star.

Don’t use. WU no longer supports this.

Rarely works. Added in several places and I keep getting ‘location not found’ or it is blank even though it was working moments ago.
The layout and design are ok.

This is the best weather plugin out there but that’s not a rining endorsement. Needs design help. Could be much better.

Looks and works great. It has many customization options. I tried many other weather plugins and this was one of the few that actually worked. It regularly updates showing the current forecast with any weather alerts. Very happy with it.

Broke my site.

Thank you for your great deal of making this easy to use.

I had expected the worst when I started looking for a simple, customisable weather widget, but this plugin immediately made me feel at ease. It is just what I was looking for – thank you so much, Zack!
The plugin does not provide a settings page, because it does not need one. That is great news in my world. The code is well documented and the output highly customisable with filters (hip hip hooray!) and even templates (for those who rather would like to copy a template file over to a theme and edit it there instead of messing with WordPress filters).
With this plugin I set up a customised weather widget in less than 30 minutes, and that included reading instructions on templating. Turned out I didn’t even use a template or filter, I just added some minor tweaks via CSS as the default “current” template looked already great.
The widget comes with branding which I think is fair. The API service provider apparently does not try to sell any services through the plugin. They don’t even have you register your own API key, but ship a global one with the plugin instead. So I gladly kept the (very modest) branding, just added a minor adjustment of CSS positioning.
Finally, it may be worth noting the API worked like a charm outside of America. The location I entered was a teeny-tiny town in east Germany, but the API had not the slightest issue fetching its data immediately. Bravo!
I recommend this plugin if you are looking for a well performing, well documented, well translated weather widget with a variety of useful default templates and great resources for customisation.

Good plugin, looks nice, but needs more strings to be translatable

Keeps telling me location cannot be found. Even following the instructions.

Good only for personal use. The statement of “Locations will autoload, but you may also define custom locations.” is a bit misleading. I took this as it would detect locations of visitors and give information regarding their specific area. My site covers the entire state of Michigan so my personal forecast is no good to anyone, except to those in my immediate area. In other words, it doesn’t detect locations automatically. It would probably work fine for a basic city website, but since my site covers an entire state, this plugin is worthless to me.

Works as advertised. Lots of options for what content to display. If you know what you’re doing with CSS, it can be re-styled easily.

It doesn’t look good in my sidebar and I lost interest in trying to fix it with CSS.
I wish it looked better, I would like to use it.

hi
Thank you for plugin applied

It’s a feature of my site, and keeps readership coming back. Love the plugin and the personalization it allows. Thanks to the developers!

Been using WU for quite some time on WP sites, but was using the old code snippet from their website. Much prefer the plugin/widget as it looks so much better. Very easy to configure.

I was hoping this would work. It doesn’t seem like any of the weather plugins work. This one — it doesn’t display location automatically like it says it will. The icons do not display at all. If you select Fahrenheit it still displays Celsius… nothing works. Very disappointing.

I think I’ve tried every weather plugin out there and this one is my favorite – looks great, lots of easy ways to customize, easy to set up for my city without needing a special key…lovin’ it.
I found that it does conflict with the plugin Background Manager (the two just don’t work together AT ALL) but I started using Random Background plugin instead and have no problems whatsoever now.
Out of all the weather plugins out there, this one is the best!

Ce plugin correspond parfaitement à mon besoin d’afficher les prévisions météo sur plusieurs jours, en plusieurs langues et de manière conviviale sur le site https://www.village-croisette.com.
Superbe boulot, merci !

Upgraded to new version after only minimally satisfied with previous version. Couldn’t find it anywhere on the admin panel after upgrading. Drives me nuts when developers make plugins like this and never say where it is and you can’t find it.
Tried to use my own iconset… forget about it. The code provided has an error in it. I went to three different people I know who understand this kind of stuff way better than me and none of them could figure out how to get the iconset to work.
I know this is free but how good can their other plugins be if this is what they lead with?
Stay away.

There is little to no support just like their regular site if you are a Weather Underground user. Many support posts go unanswered for years. Sad to think that they do not want to support their software they took the time to create.

Works good for me, look at prolococornigliano.it

The latest release wiped out the daily hi/lo temps and none of the other icon sets work, at least in my theme.

Multi-word city names are broken and from the reviews have been for years. For a something like that to be broken for so long with only workarounds posted when having multi-word names is quite common seems surprising.

I’ve tried this plugin for a site in a city in Ontario, Canada and a city in the Dominican Republic. In both cases it could not find my location.
These are CITIES! Why can’t it find my location?
The plugin is useless to me.

Only have problems with my language, otherwise is great.

I just want a small and simple iconic weather display, not something that takes over my whole sidebar. In addition, wunderground now spills out of the widget boundaries.
As a result I went back to 1.2.5.1 which gets the job done and looks good, staying within the widget boundaries. Installed on my second web site, but after looking at the out put, again put 1.2.5.1 on that site also. That looks good and does what I want.
New isn’t always better.
If I was rating the 1.2.5.1 version it would definitely be 5 stars!

It could be best around, but still not there yet.
One of them that never showed different data on service website and your website. Beleieve me many weather plugins miss there, for one reason or other not important here.
