I’ve been trying to understand how to use this plugin for about 2 years. But in the end, I always find it easier to write my own queries. The plugin is great for simple queries via the widget, but for anything complex, it seems additional layer of “know-how” is needed as to adapt standard queries to the plugin. This is true for the shortcode, template tag, or widget. Either that or I’m just missing something, and it’s not for lack of looking! It’s a frustrating irony because I know it’s supposed to make queries easier, not more complicated!
Still, I do find the widgets easy and very useful.

Does exactly what I need, with a lot of parameters available to tweak the output the way you want it, especially all of the before/after parameters, which really gave me a chance to fine-tune the output. The way I use it is on the homepage of a site, which is a static page that only displays the latest post in a specific category. My only suggestion would be to list all of the parameters for the shortcode on the FAQ page with a description of what they do. For example, what are the from, to, expired, and userfunction parameters used for?

I’ve tried several plugins aiming to the same king of thing and this one is definitely the best to me.
Would just be great if the post thumb (when a post has one) would show aligned left.
Apart from that, Awsome ! Thank you !

This plugin does a great job of adding posts within posts without much effort.
