]]>Installed v1.04 correctly, but I couldn’t find an XML file in the root or anywhere else. Under dashboard/TOOLS there is a page there to control it, which is not mentioned in your docs, and it says my sitemap is now ready, with a link to it.
The filename shown is sitemap-image.xml which is different from what is stated in your installation documentation – An easy fix! It appears there IS an XML file somewhere! But I can’t see it at that URL, when I FTP to the site.

]]>Hi everyone – I receive a lot of questions about this plugin, so maybe explaining how it works will clear things up.
First, the plugin looks at the images you upload via WordPress / media. So if you’re hotlinking to other images, or upload them via FTP, those will not appear in the sitemap.
Next, the plugin catches 404 (not found) errors and will dynamically serve the XML if the file requested is the sitemap (sitemap-image.xml). There is no file created on your server.
Finally, when you view yourdomain.com/sitemap-image.xml, you may see “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” – that’s OK. I didn’t add any style to it, because Google (and the other bots) don’t need it to look pretty. They just want the raw data, which is what the plugin returns.
If you are having problems, email me! For some reason, even though I’m the author, I don’t get notified of comments on www.ads-software.com. My contact info is in the plugin, or on ericnagel.com

Just wanted to share this. Not sure if I need to do something on my server to fix, or if something can be done with the plugin. Google seems not to want to swallow it in webmaster tools.
