I’m using the Google XML Sitemaps Generator plugin, and I’ve noticed that in the sitemap, it includes both the original image and all of the different sizes that WordPress automatically generates (e.g., 700x1050, 200x300).
Is this behavior expected, or is there a way to ensure that only the original image is included in the sitemap? I’m concerned about potential duplicate content or unnecessary resources being indexed by Google.

While before performance was ok, plugin was generating multiple sitemaps for all the site contents, suddenly google pointed connectivity problems for my sitemaps. They cannot be fetched anymore. The only page that displayed correctly was the home page and the backend was accessible.
