All in all I enjoy the Xpert Accordion, it works well. However I’m a little let down by the editing options, I’d like to be able to toy with the CSS a bit. It’s very easy to use and edit though, so 4 stars. ??

After install this plug in removed all Page Builder by SiteOrigin functionality. Had to remove this plugin and reinstall Page Builder.
Also there seems to be no support in the support forum.

I am using Divi 2.4.5 with WordPress 4.3.1. Accordion must be created within a text module. When I clicked the XpertAccordion, it created the accordion window at back of the Text Module Settings window. I had to close the Text Module Settings window to access XpertAccordion. I filled up all the details, but it did not create any shortcode in the Text Module window of Divi.
I also tried to create an accordion in a new post with default editor, so that I can put the generated code in the Text Module of Divi. The accordion is created but without any functionality.

I have tried all other plugins and this is the best one but a small problem forced me to give 4 stars rating. After installing this plugin, wordpress admin sidemenu dropdowns are not working and all other jQuery related things are not working.
I have to disable this plugin when I must use others’ javascript functions like generating new password which is new feature of wordpress.
I will surely re-rate to 5 start once the problem is solved since I don’t want to ruin the plugin’s reputation.

Thank you for this plugin, works great.
There are 2 problems in the new 1.4 version:
If the option Default Open is checked, the page will open with the slide opened as expected, but if you click the title to collapse the slide, the slide will close and open again, only the second click will collapse the slide. It seems like the code considers that all slides are closed, (like it was in the previous version) and when a slide is open by default, the code will open instead of closing the slide.
Second problem:
I choosed the “plus” icon for slides. From my tests in previous version, when a slide is expanded, the plus icon is automatically replaced with the minus icon.
In 1.4 version, seems like the auto switch between opossite icons is not working, the plus sign will remain unchanged, no matter if the slide is open or closed.
Looking forward for the new release with fixes ??
Later Edit:
Just for feedback:
i tested a shortcode for a subscription form inside slide content, and it works, the subscription form is displayed as expected ??
Cheers,
Catalin

Hello,
Just install the plugin and open new article/page. Here you will find the button Xpert Accordion – next to Add Files. This opens the plugin and you can easily change and choose the skin and start filling the items. By mouseklick you can move the items up or down. It’s very intuitive.
From my point there is one little thing to improve the “select icon”. Here you have to scroll with your up and down keyboard buttons. It takes a little. A preview of the icons before choosen would be nice – maybe the developer will add it some time?
My request for a “header” that is not to be open seems to be fixed in the 1.4 version – I’ve not downloaded yet.
After inserted the accordion you can make changes in the text editor easily. Also you can add several accordions on one page.
It’s responsive.
I and the webpage users love it.
Thank you for this amazing plugin.

I have tried so many accordion plugins and most have been lacking. Glad I found this one. The only problem was that the tabs were open by default. But in searching support I found this fix suggested by one of the plugin authors:
Open xpert-tab/shortcode/accordion.php and change
$class = ( $count === $newFlag ) ? ‘in’ : ”; to
$class = ( $count === $newFlag ) ? ” : ”;
just remove in now save and exit.
It worked like a charm. Good job!

Pros:
– Simple
– Looks very professional
– Easy to insert accordions with the button on the editor
Cons:
– No option to open/close accordions by default

I just found your plugin and tried it on my test blog. Tonight I will try it on my live blog, let’s hope all goes well. Managed to change the script for leaving first tab closed, would be nice the following:
1. setting an option for the 2st tab open/closed ??
2. the hight of the button maybe a little smaller!
Love the spoon icon, I have a food blog ??
Thanks!

This is the slickest, easiest accordion plugin I’ve found, and I’ve tried a handful. Also, I asked a question and the author replied promptly, which is always a huge bonus. The addition of the FA icons was ingenious.

This plugin works right out of the box. It’s easy as 1-2-3! Thanks for a great plugin!

Had tested several accordion plugins, this one convinced me with its rich features and options, and the ease of customizing the css. There’s one (unfortunately, very important) issue for me – can’t nest shortcodes inside the accordion. When I add [simple_contact_form]
into the xa_slide shortcode, the browser shows the contact form shortcode instead of the contact form; same with other shortcodes. The plugin’s shortcode/accordeon.php file does contain the $content = do_shortcode($content);
function (required for nested shortcodes), either.

This is honestly what I’ve been looking for… it works perfectly on my site. I’m just wondering how to prevent the first slide from opening automatically. Any answers would be much appreciated!!
