This plugin locked me completely out of my wordpress site. Neither /wp-admin nor /admin let me log in again. All I got was “Page not found”. Removed the plugin via FTP and I’m back in business.
Unacceptable!

it blocks all pages of the site for users, but for administrators they are normally accessible

A great free plugin. Will add it to my favorites.

I recommend avoiding this plugin. Like another reviewer, I deleted this plugin through cPanel, and my site will not come out of maintenance mode.
This is truly awful, and may really screw things up for me, as far as creating more hours of repair and loss and work.
Avoid this plugin at all costs!

Horrible plugin. Once activated, my site wouldnt come out of maintenance mode. I even deleted the plugin on the backend, and my site is still in maintenance mode. screw you.

With the apparent demise of Michael Wohrer’s Maintenance Mode plugin, YITH Maintenance Mode is a pleasant discovery and excellent replacement.

Hello I installed this plugin, is nice and easy to setup in few minutes.
My recommendation to prevent problems and confusions is that in General Settings in Roles, the role of administrator is turned on by default, so if you are an administrator and you enable the splash page, you will have problems to enter your site, to prevent this uncheck it.
The notes says: Check a role to enable it to show the website with maintenance mode active.
So the roles that you check are the roles that will see the splash page.
Thanks to the developer is a great plugin and works as promised.

I love this plug-in! It works great for any site when you need to do a little maintenance. Check it out on gittilpopcorn.com a wholesale popcorn company and see it for yourself. My clients love it.

It was working before I went from 8.0 to 8.1.
Should get things fixed. A bunch of YITH plugins haven’t been updated in forever on the plugin repository. Should get on fixing that shit.

A simple to use plugin that keeps your development out of site. A choice of skins for the temp page displayed. Great & easy to use

Default setting has Admin checked and all other user types unchecked. Also mentions something about how checked users will see the frontend.
Turns out this isn’t the case.
This ridiculous interface is ass-backwards. The user types you check will be the only ones to NOT have access.
End result:

This is a great little maintenance mode plugin. Very easy to setup with just the right amount of options! Great work!

Simple and beautiful! Easy to set up and understand, except the mascott image (there should be an option to remove/disable that).

This plugin works perfectly well, doesn’t effects or modifies the theme settings or widgets and is very easy to setup.
The only issue I faced was with W3 Total Cache which was interfering with this plugin. If W3 Total Cache is enabled, this plugin will not show the splash page despite clearing all the caches. At least for me it didn’t work.
The only way is to disable W3 Total Cache but its not a big deal because if the site is put in maintenance mode, then it really doesn’t matters if this W3 Total Cache is active or not.

I like this plugin. It seems to do the job for me. I do wish it was easier to center your site logo…
