We have been using this plugin for 4 years and have noticed that all products that have a video (whether via YouTube URL or embedded code) do not display the main image of the product, but rather show the 2nd image in the gallery instead. The problem occurs on single and variable products.

The new version today when installed crashed our site.

Hi There The video works fine on the single page BUT I can then no longer add thumbnails or rather I can add them but they dont show up.

Also from the main menu (Distance Courses)I have a shop page showing all the products BUT the video does not show on this page just an empty box.

Hi,
I use your featured plugin on my individual product pages. For each product I included a YouTube link so the video shows on the product page.
The videos appear in every individual product page, however suddenly I cannot click on them. The cover image of the video appears as well as the play button but nothing happens when you click it ( it is almost as if it was a screenshot of the YouTube video instead of the actual video. I don’t know when this started happening but I only recently realised. Before everything worked fine.

Using a Vimeo URL of the form player.vimeo.com/video/[ID] does not work. Looking at the plugin code, I believe the regular expression on line 36 of functions.yith-wc-featured-audio-video.php has an issue.

I can get around it by using player.vimeo.com/[ID], but I had to look at the code to discover that workaround.

I saw that version 1.23.0 – Released on 19 April 2023 had a note about support for PHP 8.1: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/yith-woocommerce-featured-video/#developers

Switching the site to run under php8.1 still results in the same error as outlined here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/php8-1-fatal-error-with-unlink/

Our customer said that he wanted to show a video among the gallery images on a single product page. We downloaded and tested the free version of the plugin. But it doesn’t work. The plugin will not work on your own demo page either. Can we find a solution for this problem?

Hello, when going to a WooCommerce product and next clicking on one of its images, a fancybox popup slider appears with the image in large format. I would like to also have the video appear inside this slider. Is this possible? Would buy premium for it.

When I enter a link to a YouTube Short video (https://youtube.com/shorts/TZyEdG-Q-2Y) it does not display, although it does override the product image so there’s just a big white space on the product.

If I change the link to another YouTube video on the same YT channel (not a Short), it displays.

Is this a known limitation with the plugin?

Can I request you to help me to know the table name or the coulmn name feild where the featured video product is saved in database?

line 117 of functions.yith-wc-featured-audio-video.php contains an error control operator for “@unlink”, however with PHP 8+ now, certain error types are no longer suppressed, thus the application is completely stopped.

Is this on your radar to address now that PHP7.4 is deprecated and sites should be looking to run on PHP8+?

On the first click on embedded video we get the info “The video is no available”
But after closing that video player window and clicking again on video thumbnail, everything works fine.

I accidently deleted video featured image and now I can’t click on the video from the gallery in order to view it.
I tried to reinstall the plugin but it didn’t help.

Just today we noticed the product pages started to display ‘This video is unavailable’ error when we first open the page however the error disappears after refreshing the page. imgur

We are using the latest versions of WP, WooCommerce, Yith Video Plugin and PHP 8.1. Wondering if anyone else is facing the issue and whether there are any solutions suggestions.

We could potentially go and open every product page once and refresh but wondering the underlying issue so that we can resolve it overall.

I installed the video pluging and I′m testing it with the product provided in the link and seems that the video shows up only for me (Admin). The product video doesn′t show up for anyone else.

I have tried disabling Elementor, Elementor pro and the theme but it still does not show if I am not logged in as admin.

Any ideas?
