I am trying to move a site to a new host and I ran into an issue where the YoLink search plugin is not indexing the site and search is not returning results. I also see the following error in the logs:
Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string(): Access denied for user ‘www-data’@’localhost’ (using password: NO) in /var/www/public/wp-content/plugins/yolink-search/yolink-search.php on line 2268\nPHP message: PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string(): A link to the server could not be established in /var/www/public/wp-content/plugins/yolink-search/yolink-search.php on line 2268
I amusing the same domain name for the site and the site API key for YoLink.
Does anyone know what might be going on here?
Thanks!

]]>Hi, I’ve installed the plugin but I have 3 problems.
1. I don’t see a widget or shortcode anywhere to add the search box to my site.
2. I have no idea or indication of whether or not my site has been indexed or not.
3. When I tried to register for the free account I got an error saying it was not able to be processed, so I don’t know if I’m actually set up or not.
Please advise,
Ron
Is it possible to style the search box like on your website, rather than the (fairly ugly) default display?

Can you help us with this error?

Several questions with no replies here…. hoping to get an answer to a simple question
My client wants a search that can detect common misspellings of their product names as well as alternate product names. Is this search plugin capable of this. If not, anyone reading this know of a plugin that can do it?
]]>Hey,
I need to keep a page indexed for search engines, but block it from appearing in search results. How can I go about achieving this?
Thanks,
Jacob
I’m using the 2.4 version of YoLink.
Since I installed and activated it, it doesn’t appear anymore in my plug-in list.
How can I deactivate and remove it please ?
Thanks!
Tim
On activation the following message appears, “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” Running Thesis theme (v1.84)

]]>My host is WP Engine, and yolink is on their list of curated plugins, so it came pre-installed.
I’m using Google Chrome (latest version).
After activating the plugin, I went to the settings page and accepted the agreement. But I was redirected to the same page, as if I hadn’t accepted the agreement. There wasn’t any sign at all of anything to do with an API key. It seems to be a weird redirect loop.
So, I tried deleting the plugin via the installed plugin list, and then reinstalling it via the plugin directory. I tried this a few times without any luck.
Then I decided to deactivate all the other plugins to see if there was a conflict. That didn’t solve the issue.
I’ve tried clearing the browser cache, and that hasn’t resolved things.
I’ve checked the widgets and there isn’t any widget for yolink (I’m not sure if there’s meant to be one).
I’ve looked on the yolink website and can’t find any helpful info.
So any suggestions? I’m out of ideas.
]]>After activating yolink search, the recent posts widget on my search results page does not show recent posts anymore.
My widget only shows some (very) old posts.
I am using the default WordPress recent posts widget.
The FAQ suggests that enabling network searches is possible, however the link to the documentation is broken and I can’t find anything else.
]]>When I installed it it wasn’t delivering any results (showing a Warning implode) and just crawling the first 50 posts.
So I created an account, applied for a personal API, etc. Then Crawled the website content and… ‘Error establishing a database connection’. All the site down, even the root page looked as if my site had been removed completely. But why was the root page affected too? Is this plugin activated in all pages? I’d expect to be active only in search.php or when a $_GET[‘s’] parameter is detected.
Quickly deactivated the plugin and removed it, benefits are not worth the damage it can do and the way it works: need to request an API, create an account, pings to external service and dependance to it (what if it goes down?), some parts of the Terms of Service…
Still no files added in it. i downloaded it got only blank folder.
