Hello,
I’ve installed the YouTube Comments plugin and have generated my API key and credentials and updated them in the app settings. Now, when I view my posts where I have YouTube videos embedded, underneath the video, I presume where the comments should be loading, all I get is an indefinite ‘loading’ box. I’ve tried both this plugin and the Slava fix plugin. Both are giving me the same results.
Can you please advise?
Thank you.

]]>G’day,
Sorry for the delay in replying to your concerns. This plugin is still active and will be fixed soon. I’ve decided not to use the new API3 for getting comments. It requires a key which is a lengthy and troublesome procedure. I believe that would discourage users who simply want to show comments.
If you need the plugin now, use this fix by Slava Shklyaev. It uses API3 so you’ll need to sign up for a key.
https://github.com/slava-sh/youtube-comments
My goal is to make the plugin simple to use. Without the feeds, the only way is to scrape the comments and build the old XML. Anyone who has modified the stylesheet or template will not have to redo their work. Of course, a key will still be needed to post comments.
Please be patient, I hope to have it ready soon.
]]>You tube comments was working fine but then it stopped and now I’m getting the following error message instead:
Warning: simplexml_load_file(https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/TOkyN4Q5f9w/comments?start-index=1&max-results=10): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 410 Gone in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/youtube-comments/class-comments.php on line 290

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I have triple checked my Google permissions and they seem to be correct, they have also not changed since the comments were working.
]]>This plugin stopped working a few days ago. Nothing loads. I assume it’s to do with youtube’s API or some other change.
Hope this can be resolved, I love this plugin ??
]]>Hi, you can update to youtube API 3? exist this version of plugin?.
Thanks
Hi
can you change the Google API with the Offical Google API..?
i have conflict with plugin called ( Use-your-Drive | WordPress Plugin )
The plugin is awesome but there’s any chance to see the replies to the comments?
i can see the main comments but nothing about the replies.
]]>I customized the plugin for the website I’m working on. See the changes on Github.
]]>I get this error when trying to click the login link. Now I know you said the REDIRECT URIS have to be correct, but seriously, what do I put there? Google defaults it to https://www.gamergy.nl/oauth2callback, but that URL is dead.
So, the question is.. what is the actual callback URI that your plugin needs?
]]>Hello,
I installed youe plugin recently and it is a great plugin.
Yesterday everything was working fine but today I got the following errors. How can I resolve them?

AMAZING plugin. Have you given any thought to including view count and the ability to like/dislike from your plugin, as well?
]]>SO i mark a comment as spam but a little later the comment is again fetched from youtube ??
]]>I am using your plugin to integrate comments on my youtube posts on my wordpress site (rather than managing two separate comment streams). However, I have noticed the following:
1. If I post a video from another channel, say to discuss a product or someone else’s video, then the comments from the video are posted in my page. That’s expected behavior, since that’s what the plugin is designed to do. However, I don’t really want someone else’s comment stream on my website, and would prefer to use the local comments for that post.
Is it possible to only display comments for my videos (besides going into each one and adding shortcode via the manual option)? I was thinking of maybe only showing comments for defined channels or something, and ignoring comments from others.
2. Additionally, I have found that if I just hyperlink to another video, rather than having it embedded, I get the comments for it even when it really isn’t the topic of the post. Any way to NOT display comments on certain posts.
I realize your shortcode option is a solution, but 99% of my content is of my own youtube videos, so the automated “do it for everything” is nice. What is the possibility of a shortcode that says DONT DISPLY COMMENTS? I could just put that shortcode in for the random videos that I don’t want YouTube comments to appear. This would actually fix #1 and #2 for me.
Not sure if its feasible or not.
]]>Hi,
First of all thanks for this nive plugin, it works great showing comments.
Unfortunaltely it doesn’t post anything (YT API credentials ok), I guess it’s linked to the new G+ integration. Could you have a look at this? Would be great! Thanks!
nb. Additionnally I have a suggestion: possibility (or not) to log YT views and comments in db. Maybe something compatible with “Post Views Count” or similar not to re-invent the wheel ??

]]>Hello,
I was wondering if you could add support for “deTube – Professional Video WordPress Theme” This theme doesn’t reference the URL directly in the content area. It creates a custom filed titled dp_video_url which has the video URL in it and the YouTube comment plugin doesn’t detect this field. Can you update the plugin to query for this field or add an option to query for that field if you use the deTube theme? If you don’t want to add support globally let me know how I could update the plugin to detect it. Thanks!
Hey,
After enabling comments I see: Sign in now to post a comment!
When clicking on sign in (despite already being signed in) I get redirected to google saying:
Error: redirect_uri_mismatch
The redirect URI in the request: https://********** did not match a registered redirect URI
I have checked the URI it is present and correct, any advice or tips?
]]>Could you just clarify, to show comments only without the ability to cross post the ClientID/Secret + API key etc is still required?
